Please don't try it
Kindly use a commercial bank earlier someone posted using a MFB and she was denied straight away.
So no mfb is allowed that's what you are trying to say?

Pls, I need help with this situation, I’m applying as a student with my husband and our child but my husband was removed from the UK in 2008 under a different name from what he used to get his visiting visa after overstaying. He has served more than 10 years ban (13 precisely) which was applicable to the removal from the UK.
Now as a dependent to my application, is it advisable to apply together or separately (I mean after we have left)? Though we intend to write a letter to come out clearly of the situation stating the removal with “alias name” and also showing full remorse and lesson learned from the situation.
My concern is that if we apply together, wouldn’t his situation affect me and my child from getting the student visa if otherwise considered as not acceptable by the VO?
Please advise on what could be the best option to explore.
Thanks…..waiting patiently for advice.

Since he has served his ban. I believe it won’t have any effect. He should be true to all the informations provided. However, i will suggest you seek expert ideas from some agents/immigration experts around your hood as this is a very sensitive case. Cheers and i wish you luck.

You don't need to bother people when you have verified experience, I don't know why is difficult for people to move POF to a commercial bank in order to avoid stories that touch.

Hello all,
Is it possible to submit family visa application together while the biometrics and medicals of one of the spouse would be done in a different country from the main applicant? Thank you for your kind response.

From the little I know, if while filling the dependant form, the said spouce had highlighted the country he/she will be applying from and then proceeds to do the biometrics in that same country, that won't be a problem. In all, the country selected while filling the dependant application form is where the dependant is to do their biometrics.

Boss abeg give me your contact at ikoyi marriage registry.

Thanks.

Jyde81:
Visa Alert! Visa Alert!! Visa Alert!!!

UK Tier 4 Visa Application - 18th September 2021(Priority). I am the main applicant and my wife is the dependent.

Course of study- M.Sc in Information Technology and Network Management at Robert Gordon University at Aberdeen, Scotland

Biometrics - Wednesday 22nd September 2021 at Ikeja TLS for myself and my wife. My wife had appointment but I did walk-in as I can’t wait till 24th September because school has resumed since 13th September and my own biometrics was meant to be 24th September.

Monday 27th September 2021 - Received first NSF Mail

Monday 4th October 2021 - Received 2nd NSF mail. Shortly after I received a call and an email from UKVI for a video interview slated for the following day 5th October for 9:30am. ( At this stage we have disposed of most of our things at home and we’re practically sleeping on the floor. Imagine the tensions that were already creeping into our mind and lives?)

Tuesday 5th October 2021 - Video interview commenced as scheduled and lasted for about 1 hour. Questions asked ranges from reasons for my previous three visa refusals from 2003(two refusals) and 2016(one). The also asked reasons for the 13 year educational gap between B. Sc (2008) and intending M.Sc(2021) and what I have been doing in-between those years. They asked other others ranging from why I wanted to study IT, why I chose Robert Gordon Uni, what myself and wife were doing for a living amongst other sundry questions then the interview ended.

Monday 11th October 2021 - Wife’s profile moved to VAC and later that day a pickup mail was delivered .

Tuesday 12th October 2021- My profile moved to VAC and a pickup mail was sent later that day.

We both travelled to Lagos on Friday to pick up our passport with our visa inside.

It was a torrid journey which started in May 2021 and had a lot of delays from my university(Olabisi Onabanjo University) failing to process my transcripts on time to RGU first offering me a pre-masters which I rejected to the real masters admission coming out late on the 1st of September 2021. What about having to go to the Ikoyi registry to correct numerous errors on our wedding certificate which they made three times? The numerous near accidents on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway amongst others.

In all these we thank the good lord that the whole project was successful at the end.

Please I want to ask a question.

I am applying to study in UK and going with my husband and daughter but my husband date of birth is not correct (just a year difference) on his int'l passport.
I want to ask is it compulsory to check it first before we travel or it won't affect?
Please if you have any information or anybody on how to change date of birth on int'l passport please link me up.
Thank you

The chances of refusal is higher even as he has served his ban but he has no choice than to apply and be honest with his previous immigration history.

They have his biometric detail in the system but with two different names, so that needs to be sorted out.

They may likely refuse his application and that of your child and approve yours.

I suggest that you apply together because whether you apply alone or together the outcome will most likely be the same.

Ok, some MFBs can be used. However the ones that are supervised by CBN. I work in one and we used to handle for our clients and they all travelled with no issues. However I will suggest you use a commercial bank. You can’t confirm if the MFB you are using is regulated also, most people use MFBs cos of their cheaper rate. But again high risk. Pls use commercial bank.

Success2011:
Greetings my great people. I asked a question few days ago concerning PoF for dependent visa. Here is the updated situation. As at today’s Oanda pounds to Naira rate, the evidence needed in the account is a little over 3.4M for the 9 months and it ought to be in the account for at least 28 days.

However, what is in the account now is over 4.5M. it’s actually a running account. More money may leave but it won’t go below 4.4M before the application. In this case how will the 28days be calculated as biometrics is less than 2 weeks away! I hope I captured the situation succinctly. Please gurus should respond.

You should be able to by going through CBN site https://www.cbn.gov.ng/supervision/Inst-MF.asp

Just print out statement of 28 days or more as long as it doesn't fall below the required funds.

Good day All and @justwise,

Please I am asking this information on behalf of my friend.

My friend enters the UK in 2009 and stay there legally till 2014 (4 years legal stay). On the 17th January 2014, he withdrawn his appeal to the First-tier tribunal in UK and put a first application for leave to remain on the same day-17th January 2014.

The application made on the 17/01/2014 on human right grounds FLR (FP) end him with no leave to remain and he challenged this by a way of Judicial Review to the UK court of appeal.

The UK court of appeal orders my friend to submit a new application to enable the home office to consider his case properly. The second FLR(FP) application was made in February 2016, this was still when my friend have no leave and as ordered by the Court of Appeal.

The second application made in February 2016 FLR(FP)-human right application was refused again and certified as unfounded. This 2nd application was challenged again by my friend by a way of Judicial Review to the Upper Tribunal and won. The Home Office agreed to the withdraw the decision and pay the applicant cost of Judicial Review, which was sealed by the Upper Tribunal.

The Home Office reconsider the decision against and issued a new refusal with certification of the human right claim, which again my friend challenged by a way of Judicial Review to the upper tribunal but this time finally lost the JR.

Note: All these JR till the last one lasted my friend 4 years without leave to remain in the UK. It was when the final JR was refused by the Upper Tribunal after reconsideration was when my friend left the UK VOLUNTARILY ON HIS OWN EXPENSES AND RETURN BACK TO NIGERIA. This was 2 week after the last JR.

Now, my friend is in Nigeria and living in Nigeria for more than 3 years now and he is about to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Please what are his chance of success based on his immigration history coupled with the fact that he overstay when he have no leave, undergoing Judicial Review and in the process a decision was withdrawn and later new decision was removed. My friend is thinking of explaining all his situation in a cover letter before he applied but he is seeking the audience input on his situation before he applied.

Thank you all and @justwise and your input will be highly appreciated. Please assist a friend.

Does the University of law require transcript or does certificate suffice?

Also, how long does it take for them to issue CAS after submitting application?
