Madness dey some girls body because then think say man keep them for house mean say dey go dey forget their manners anyhow.

A lady really annoyed me this morning.
I had gone to the park to board a taxi back home. The guy who was loading for the driver directed me to the taxi that was loading. An elderly guy sat at the front seat while a lady was seated by the door and she was the only one sitting at the back. Note that the drivers take three passengers at the back.
Immediately I saw how the lady sat at the door- her body language- I decided to enter from the other side but another passenger beat me to it plus I was approaching the taxi from her side to I just decided to enter through there.
The lady rather than shift to the middle came out for me to enter without any form of excuse which I found annoying.
I made my displeasure know to her but she just kept mute as if no be human being dey follow talk. I still repeated myself.this lady just start blowing out like burning charcoal, shouting at the top of her voice that "do I think she is a baby for me to treat her like that".

To make matters worse, the passengers and driver were telling me to not retaliate because na women. Na so we go continue to dey tolerate nonsense. Even na guy, I go still tell am wetin he do no correct.
the moment I decide to enter a public vehicle, I keep all my egos behind and treat myself like every other person in the taxi with equal rights.
What make you think she is supposed to allow u sit by the window when she was actually there before you. What also make u think is ur right to sit by the window as man. If u meet anyone who decides to shift inside for u, fine and good, but have it in mind that is never your right. Personally, except I know that i will be going down so soon probably the next busstop that is when I can come down for anyone to sit at the middle apart from that i can even shift in for a small girl of less that 16 year to sit by the door, it doesn't reduce any thing from me.

If your education didn't teach you how to be civil and act maturely in every circumstance , shouldn't age and wisdom do it or are you naturally unsettled?

You should have entered, close the door and tell the driver to move. Then you can pay for two seats. I hate nonsense.

Bro, I don't care about where I sit in a car as long as it takes me to my destination safely.

Well, your point register well.

She doesn't owe you any explanation.

She's already taken her seat, she did right by coming down for you to take the middle seat.

That's the normal thing...and the smart thing to do security-wise.

Why should she allow herself be wedged between two guys?

What if it's planned work to kidnap her?

Bros, she arrived the motor park before you and was seated before you so she has the right to choose a seat of her liking and not give it up. She came down for you to take the Centre position and you come to the Nairaland to para.

You had two choices, take the available seat or wait for the next taxi and pick a window seat

You're the one wrong in this aspect. She came in first, so she has the right to chose where to sit. If you are not comfortable with that option, as the last comer, you wait for another vehicle. Stop fighting wrong!

because you do it doesn't make it right, nobody has any space in public vehicles, it should be first come first serve, who comes first get to sit where ever they want, if you find anyone who shift for you then fine but don't feel entitled to it, it's wrong.....

Why didn’t you continue through the Other male passenger’s side and ask him to move in since you both were boarding at the same time? Or was there a rule that you must board the taxi through that particular entrance where the lady was seated and already settled in?

Just hear yourself, because man keep them for house, them go forget their manner?Read what you wrote again.

Some of you will never respect yourselves. Learn to keep your warped patriarchal Mentality in your house before stepping out else, you’ll keep making a fool of yourself.
Dey go drag seat for taxi. Smh!

this kind of people will look tough in the eyes of women. But its their type we use to tell in the gym to just push one more rep out of 10 during bench press when they're using 15kg on each side. Other men will be wondering if they're actually men or transgender because of how strangely weak they are.
But the moment they leave that place, they start demeaning women not knowing that in the eyes of men, they are women too.

I've been in your shoes but things turned out differently.
Sometime ago I boarded a Danfo. The front space had two seats but one available. I opened the door to get in but the lady already seated in front, stepped out for me to go in. I politely told her its a courteous social tradition for a guy to occupy the space closest to the door. She declined and I stepped in. On our way, at top speed, the driver swerved along a bend, which sent everyone swinging over to an angle. She hit the door and the clip holding the door in place went off. (You know these crazy danfos with pop locks ). The door swung open immediately and she lost balance. I pulled her back in forcefully, given her weight and size and she fell back in. The driver had to slow down, parked and readjusted his crap. All the women in the bus later pleaded with me to swap positions with her but my big proud head wont take that nonsense. An elderly man from behind had to swap seats with her.

Its ugly to argue with a woman on trivial things like spaces in public places. Taking what is available or given to you at the time won't reduce your masculinity in anyway. Letting go is civil.
