I lost my job last 2 months and its been a hard time getting a new job. That's besides the point. I asked this question for strictly married women who knows how to manage a home.

If u don't have an advice for me then please its best u keep quiet
sadly to say...this is the only advice that can help you. you don't have any other means you can source out money, moreover, deep down inside of you,you already know that that money can never and will never be enough or you can force him to add more to the money. Stop asking unwarranted questions when you already know the answer...

You don talk am finish.

That money fit be snacks money for the kids but here she is complaining.

How can a man drop 4k for a family of 4 daily feeding for one week?

These days most men check the financial capability of their intending spouses before they proceed with them, not because they are after it but to avoid see finish and things like this.

You will be on your own doing well o, boom one lady go carry herself come dey disturb your life with marriage. If you do mistake marry her when you are not ready, you don enter because na that same mouth she go use yab you if things no go well.

Most of them if not all of them believe that once a man has a stable source of income, an apartment etc, that he should be ready for marriage.

I have them(ladies ready to settle down) around me but I am observing(studying) them all, none of them fit make me marry when I am not yet ready.

Hmm interesting!

Have you ever taken them up on their offer? Or are you tempted to?

These women you mentioned, do they have an income source of their own via business or jobs?

One is my ex and knows I am nice enough to give her at least 10-20k after sex. The other is just a married friend who suddenly has been telling me bad things about her hubby and wants to come stop by at my office. She has asked alot about my sex life ao i know where that is going.
My ex sells shoes , bags and clothings on her whatsapp and facebook. The other sells lands on her whatsapp status too.

you should have been open by telling her to go look for something to assist the situation...the only reason she's angry is because you're even making it subtle a bit. let her continue to look for a way she can manage 4k when its glaring to even the dead that that feat is unattainable in this present Nigeria...yeye women and their supporters,no mind them joor

Is there such a thing as "enough work" where your very own family is involved? undecided

In single-parent homes for instance, you find single mothers/fathers who take care of their kids, and house and also work.... so what in the world do you mean by "that is enough work ...."? undecided

Would you have known if truly she doesn't have then finances to contribute if I hasn't at least inquired about her employment status? undecided

What's with the stupid emoji you keep using, are you in Pry 2?

I'm sorry about your job loss. N4,000 a week is quite small. I really can't think of how that can be stretched to feed 2 kids for 7 days in this economy. I hope God will open up a way for you to supplement your income soon. Meanwhile, you could try replacing your children's protein source with eggs. They might be cheaper than meat or fish. I'd suggest you buy one tuber of yam for each week and then cook rice with what's left. Better days are ahead by God's grace.

What kind of timetable is that? I planned on buying irish potato to fry for snacks but just a bottle of groundnut oil will finish the money.
Please I'll be happy if you can also draw a timetable for me
I will show my husband this thread so he can see what everyone thinks of the amount he gives me.

No! please stay away from Irish, it's not fulling at all, go for sweet potato instead, it doesn't drink much oil, it's fulling and it's sweet, you can boil it if you don't have oil, plus it's got good nutrients.
plus indomie is below N150 per 120g, that's enough for one kid, you can do with garri on the side,

Frankly 4k a week is not even enough for a youth corper that is living alone talkless of a mother and two kids. Half of that money will be spent on only snacks for the kids. Rabinna is N100 per pack. If you have to get 2 for your kids that's already N200. Abi is it bobo or viju? Things are expensive my dear.

She lost her job just two months ago
, and the govt will not support till she gets a new job. It doesn't work that way in Nigeria.
that was what she said... a good and supportive woman will fry puf puf or do anything to support the family rather than asking silly question online....

Get nasty? Ehn that's the real reason she should show him the thread. Insult is needed sometimes for rejuvenation of sense.

pocohantas:

I believe if he has more, he would do more. Everyone knows the situation of the country.

Nahh he won't, he is not being honest & he knows it.

A basic blue collar worker i.e BrickLayer or even white collar worker would eat 3 times daily.

Morning: Heavy food Bread & beans with coke - N700
Afternoon: Indomie from street side sellers - N700
Night: Rice with coke or water - N500.

That's averagely a total of N1900, so in 5 working days he has spent 10k and yet he wants a woman with 2 kids + him to spend 4k on foodstuffs in a week.

It is better to explain situation of things to your spouse instead of telling her she is lying over 4k.
