On Ighalo's invitation, well, Rohr knows his players better than we do. We can only analyse based on what we see on the screens.

Rohr obviously still rates Ighalo and still doesn't have much confidence on Onuachu who has not really been consistent in the national colours.

I don’t know how synergy in the Team camp would look like having Ighalo back, but I personally don’t think Rohr will coerce Oshimen to release the No.9 shirt for Ighalo.
It’s a tough decision to make though and I hope it doesn’t affect their relationship.

Honestly our players don't care about numbers that much if so Aribo won't be wearing that number 10.

Lookman and Ejaria would definitely add value to the team. He needs to drop two defenders from that squad to accommodate these two.

For those calling for the dropping of Musa and Shehu, Musa is team captain and his level of commitment is a plus for him. While Shehu might not be a master of a position, he is a utility player. You need such player in your team in case of crisis situations.
please explain these. What kind of utility player and what crisis situations?

Shehu Abdullahi can play as a DM, CM and RB, that is the 'utility' I am talking about.

Crisis situation such that some regular players in the team would be missing due to various reasons Such as injuries, suspension or other reasons such as what happened in the game against Cape Verde. Shehu Abdullahi, might not be a fantastic player, but he is often decent enough to get the job done when he has to fill into any vacant positions.

I have a friend Dayo Ajoge we played university football together with Seyi Olofinjana,Emma Olisadebe...Dayo Ajoge had 5 minutes appearance for Nigeria against Jamaica in London and till today he always feeling elated talking about his debut for Nigeria, just a match.

Sir,Paul Onuachu replaced Etebo in 65 minutes against Seychelles and that's not really a debut according to you.

Pls I need more schooling on debut my man...we learn everyday.

AFCON 2022: Rohr hints at inclusion of Lookman and Ejaria in Super Eagles team
pulse.ng
Ademola Lookman and Ovie Ejaria may be included in the Super Eagles squad for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Lookman
Lookman
The Super Eagles of Nigeria may soon get some reinforcements in attack with the introduction of Leicester City's Lookman and Reading's Ejaria.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr is already looking beyond the ongoing World Cup qualifying series and ahead to the difficult task of putting together a team for the 2022 AFCON, which will take place in Cameroon.

In an interview with Elegbete TV, the German manager revealed some new faces may be part of the team to Cameroon, despite not participating in AFCON Qualification.

Rohr hinted that midfielder Ejaria and winger Lookman have a chance of being included in the final team to the 2022 AFCON.

According to the 68-year-old, both Ejaria and Lookman, who have represented England at youth level, have expressed their desire to switch international allegiance.

The Nigeria Football Federation, led by Amaju Pinnick are working on it, and Rohr expects a resolution as soon as possible.

When Nigeria is concerned , some things just defy rational.

Does it take three years to process a change of allegiance with FIFA .

It took Wilfred Zaha a very high profile player , who had already played for England senior national team. A mere 3 weeks plus to complete his change of allegiance with FIFA. This was with objections from the English side and huge amounts of negative press.

How long did it take Declan Rice to move from Ireland to England.

But not Nigeria, and some will try to justify the unjustifiable, it's CRASS INCOMPETENCE and possibly the issue's of Uncle Egunje.

Both of these players presented themselves Lookman and Ovie to play for Nigerian U17. But were somehow classed as not good enough hmmm Why

Egbon, can Awaziem play as both DM and CM?
Yes Sir..Awaziem has everything in his disposal to do that....honestly I don't rate Awaziem before but now he is my favorite player.

Chief inviting Shehu is a waste...baba with availability of players we are having now...

Good you mentioned Cape Verde match..

My man in the absent of Ndidi,Shehu based on his experience should feel the vacuum but Onyeka is doing the needful now.

Shehu time is up in eagles settings unless miracle happen to his football career.

If only you guys would use the same amount of energy to speak against the constant invitations of Musa and Shehu who add very little to the team.
At least we know Ighalo can score goals grin

What does Musa offer? What does Shehu offer?
But we gotta have that quota system, don't we?

SMH

Musa ans shehu are old members and fan favorite so they are needed in the team grin

With that mad man anything is possible. He’ll even tell you Osimhen is too young to start. Hence, his decision to start Ighalo so Osimhen can learn from the bench as part of his tactics..

As far as I am concerned, the National team selection is by Nigerians in the team and not Rohr.

At least it's better than having Moses Simon, Ahmed Musa, onuachu and shehu Abdullah I in the team. At least they will bring value to the team.
I pray it works. Rohr is confused and so if he does something right by adding quality to our midfield and wings let us be happy.
If ademola lookman keeps Ahmed Musa out if the team and ejaria can add creativity to our midfield I will be happy.
At least it will be an improvement. Although it's funny waiting for their switch before quality can be added to the team when other home grown talent is there.
But Rohr is so dumb that taking this route could be the only way out.
All these names u mentioned r still going to afcon,
it's now 28-man list.
Who starts depends on who did better in training in rohr's eyes.

So lookmun and ejaria will still have to convince rohr with their performance to play them ahead of others

cheesy All matched in recent history Sir.

They played good football yes. But this "I miss the SE of old" as if they conquered the world is where I'm not getting it
I don't know about u,but i'm talking about myself.
This present team no longer provide the excitement i use to have whatching d super eagles of mid 90s to mid 2000s,
I'm not even talking about d results alone, but the quality of football they display, their doggedness, the flair, the skills, the entertainment n everything.

Pls go to youtube n search for usa '94 and atlanta '96 marches, watch them,
come here and tell me u don't wish this present team give u those kind performances.
Tell me u don't wish u still have players like okocha, kanu, oliseh and co playing 4 nigeria.

Let's hope things change after rohr is sacked,n nff get us a coach that can take us to where we want to be in world football.
at least we still have some players that can take us far.

Used to think forgiveness was making up stuff but the moment Balogun confirmed he was dropped from the starting 11 because he protested against some injustice plus Operanozie’a case then I started seeing some sense in what he’s saying.

When else did we make wc 2nd round back to back sir? When last did we win olympic gold? Besides Keshi when last did we win afcon or even come close? Like I said who knows the 94 to 98 team might have gone ahead to win 2 afcons but we may never know unfortunately. So to your question, they conquered Africa and were ranked top 5 in the world and many times in the top 20 sir.
What makes one WC 2nd round better than another? That's the ceiling of our WC experience and it has been matched. No?
