U may be right. Their explanation and signs are similar to mine. What could be the cause? I don't drink alcohol. But i do worry or think abt issues sometimes. Could it be as a result of that?

I'm as confused too because I am experiencing same.Mine has stopped recently and I hope it doesn't come back.

To be honest, i overthink too sometimes. E.g My mind would just go back to my past and i would start wishing if i had done this or that, this would have been this, this would have been that. When i was experiencing serious depression in the past, it wasn't like this and i didn't experience this. It was last or 2 months ago i started experiencing this. It would come unexpectedly, most times, when i am relaxed. The beating would be completely different from the normal beating.

Good day, Fellas. I never intended to post this here but i just discovered that the religion section is one of the borest and worst section i have ever visited in Nairaland. Anyway, that's just by the way. What does it mean when a person's heart beats unexepectedly or unconciously like a kind of sudden fear? I have had this experience several times if not many. I have this sensation in me that something terrible wants to happen. When i asked my mum abt this, she said it's a temptation sign. That i should be very careful of a decision i want to take or i think carefully before taking any decision. What's ur take on this?

At all i breathe very well and it doesn't affect my heartbeat just that I get scared any time I hear slight sounds.. How do you feel yours and since when ?
Mine started around 2019 .

You're either experiencing anxiety,blood infection or high bp,if it's not all these then it's spiritual,just always be optimistic,be prayerful and think positively

Alright, i want u to know that Bp doesn't only affect old or older people, it affects young people too. When went for NAF screening, many young guys from ur age range upward, were screened out because of their high Bp.

You don't need to be scared of it, but the toll the thinh takes on the heart gets several times worse if care is not taken.

While you search for a mental health counselor in your area, what you could do is try to find out possible triggers in your life, stress sources that may cause the attacks and properly process them or the fears you have developed associated with them.

Also develop a habit of not avoiding that which scares or may seem to overwhelm you. This condition condition all about the mind and not food related so you have to actively engage your mental in order to work your way through this one.

His health isn't necessarily what is the problem, it is his Brain that is stressed and processing signals 'incorrectly'.

Yes, it is BP related but it is not always directly connected to health of the body. In the case you describe, it is the mind that is traumatized leading then to the change is BP..

"To check your pulse at your wrist, place two fingers between the bone and the tendon over your radial artery — which is located on the thumb side of your wrist. When you feel your pulse, count the number of beats in 15 seconds. Multiply this number by four to calculate your beats per minute."

You can do that now and give me the count. But the most accurate ones are when you wake up or about to sleep.

I download a java Heart pulse app. I followed their instruct by placing my Left(palm) on my right hand wrist while holding the phone with my right hand. But i do not understand how it works. In the app there is a place to put a number, which i do not. When i pressed 5 button, something snaky starts moving on the screen. When i press stop, a particular number will appear.
