Passport issuance has greatly improved.
I applied online for renewal and made payment on Sept 26, headed to Alausa office on September 28, submitted all printed forms and written application at their desk.

I proceeded to meet an officer who welcomed us into his office and courteously explained the procedures and timelines of data capturing and issuance. We'd be notified to come for capturing within 5-6days and issuance takes 3 weeks and that there are more of 10years 64 pages passport on ground.

I explained to him how I travelled from outside of Lagos state to process my passport and he assisted to do capturing that day. I waited till 3pm for the capturing. He told me it would be ready in a week.

I eventually sent a friend to collect it on November 3. He said the issue date on it was October 6, that showed it actually took them one week to process it.

Kudos to the Alausa passport office in Ikeja.

Yes I captured exactly 6 weeks ago from this week that should be September.
You can write your name on paper I think I saw some people do that and they got their passport that day.
In case yoI sense any foul play or delay ask for Charles and explain to him.
Them go find am out.

The person who convinced me to go DIY route got his in 3 weeks. He did in August this year. And yes it's in PH. DIY.

Don't be surprised your passport is ready for collection. Write mail or something. Those people at PH office are something else!

I sent them an email 7 days ago, they replied saying they don't track passports after capture has been done, I should wait or go to the office

If you’ve captured since July check the immigration portal and you’ll see a list of passports that are ready and haven’t been picked up
If you see your name there then you go for collection

When you click on the list it states the list is for people before 4th June 2021.

People after 4th June 2021 are not on that list Atleast on the Rivers state list I looked at

I need to process my passport asap and am considering Abeokuta Passport Office because am of the opinion of Lagos is too conjested hence the process could be frustrating at times.

Puting all factors into consideration, do you think I have a high chance of getting it done within the shortest period when compared with Abeokuta

I have chart them on Facebook, thats a week ago they told me they are working on it that they will send me mail after collection of my enrollment number I have not received the mail, I chart again the response was they are working on it.

Wait alil but try to write to them by first week of December that you want to use it for medical purpose. Formulate a medical reasons and you don't have money to give the officers. I can't spoon-feed you naw.
