Look again, they are different varieties of the same fruit. undecided
The first picture look like his more than the second.
The second are the types I've seen and tasted.
They aren't that deep in colour.

You know what you're going to do for us?
Next time you get the fruit again, cut it open and take pictures. Let's see what the inside looks like.

These are pictures of the ghana apple which turns out to be a fig. It ripens to an orange color and not red. undecided

Thank you for asking this. cheesy

I've always wondered why it's never sold.
Could it be that they feel it is too small and delicate, and not worth selling?
You can only get to taste it if the tree is close to you.
Small and delicate ke? Na, I think the taste is the major issue. It is not as delectable, as succulent or as sweet as say an orange or the general apple is, this is my opinion. undecided

Yep, Sweetened juicy paper since the sweetness isn't evenly spread across the entire fruit. undecided

I remember trying to figure out which bite contained the sweetness. undecided

I think the upper part is more sweeter and juicier than the lower part.

I think the fruit , at least the pinkish white variety i know of is probably best marketed to juice lovers. I mean I can imagine the pulp from that fruit contributing some added body to an orange or pineapple smoothie. undecided

Found it.... Pommerac or Mountain apples. According to the articles, they belong in the same genus as the Bell apples we were discussing earlier.
Syzygium malaccense is a species of flowering tree native to Malesia and Australia.[1][2] It is one of the species cultivated since prehistoric times by the Austronesian peoples. They were carried and introduced deliberately to Remote Oceania as canoe plants. In modern times, it has been introduced throughout the tropics, including many Caribbean countries and territories.[3][4][5]

Thanks for this.
Looks more like a pear.

According to the link Kobo provided, its texture is similar to that of a pear and tastes less sweeter than an apple.
It has high water content, therefore lower in calorie compared to other types of apple.
It contains some vitamins and minerals too.

Kobo did a good job by helping us find out what it is.
Kobo is fast becoming an asset on the food thread o. cheesy
