Thanks for the response, actually the bolded is the plan, but
the bone of contention here is this, the second program in question is a 1 year program aswell at another DLI, and they also offer PGWP but it's a part time program.

Can one go for this particular 1-year program (that offers PGWP, one year, part time), after finishing the first full-time , 1year program?

Thanks

Hello Lentomac,

Studying part-time makes you ineligible for PGWP. However, only your first full-time study will qualify you for the post-graduation work permit.

Hello everyone, I have been following this tread for a while now. Weldon to all the contributors and gurus in the house.
I filed for my student visa application on the 13th of October, today I got a refusal letter reasons visa officer is not convinced I have enough funds to cover my tuition and living expenses.
I had paid 8000 cad for first semester fees.
I also have ordered my gcm notes. Please my question is, while I await my gcm notes can I plan to transfer money to a Gic account? My program is a two year diploma. Thank you.

Hello Makhel,

Why a Diploma and where you refused on the grounds of Purpose of Visit? If yes, consider changing your program to one that demonstrates progression and/or improve your study plan and ensure that it outlines your study prospects, impact, and benefits. You should have a valid admission letter before opening a GIC. Most of the banks will only open one if there is a valid admission letter.

Long Post Alert!
I said I was gonna come back
This Canada waka has not been easy.I am a second time applicant. I used the service of an immigration lawyer in Canada for my first application. I was devastated after spending hugely ( over 500k)for my refused application. Shortly after using the services of the imm lawyer was when google brought me to Nairaland platform. So immediately after my refusal I contacted justmellow on Nairaland but fully engage him through his social media page on Twitter/IG @GCMSWriters after seeing an impressive review about him here. The rest is now history. Glory be to God.

1st application

Applied - January 15th 2021
Refusal - May 27th 2021
Biometrics –january 21, 2021
Medicals – Upfront
Eligibility Start: not sure cos my lawyer took charge of the IRCC account

Reasons from notes ordered- source of family’s income was unclear.
It was unclear whether funds provided will be available for studies.
Motivation to pursue studies was unreasonable.
Study plan was general .

2nd application

Applied - August 8, 2021
Eligibility review- November 8,2021
MeDical updated- November 22, 2021
PPR- November 23, 2021.

Our gurus on this platform are not getting enough exposure and support because these guys are awesome. @Justmellow also guided me on how to withdraw the service of the immigration lawyer and came up with quite an approach as if he was an IRCC rep. I screamed when I saw the approved message. It was like I was shocked by an electricity leak. Lol

How I addressed the reasons for refusal ,
I contacted @justmellow for assistance. He went for his application guide & advice services and he also wrote my SOP and LOE ( as they said the initial one I did was general) And he also advised on extra documents I could add to back up my application.

As par my family establishment ..I added my dad’s retirement letter and also provided CAC for his new business of which luckily I had a stake in( even though the business no dey function)
As par funds not sure of being available- I provided my payslips for 6months to show source of funds( I didn’t submit my payslips in first application), 6 months MBS of my accounts.)
As par motivation for studies- it was clearly narrated in my SOP by @justmellow. In the process of waiting for my application to be approved, I requested my GCMS notes from justmellow website www.gcmswriters.com

Documents used

All the IMM forms
Letter of Recommendation from local government chairman
Undergraduate degree certificate
NYSC Certificate
SSCE/WAEC
WES Certificate
Study Leave letter from my office
Letter of Introduction from my office
Offer of Employment from my office
Payslips 6 months
Work ID Card
MyBankStatement salary account - 2m
MyBankStatement Savings account -6m
Mutual funds -350k
Pension Funds - 5.5m
First Semester Tuition Fee Payment
Bank Letter of Reference savings account
Letter of Support (Father)
Deed of Assignment and valuation Documents
My Car Pictures and it’s documents
Affidavit of support from dad
Retirement Letter of dad and certificate of Service CAC Business Registration documents and Business ID Card for dad

I want to use this medium to thank justmellow for his efforts put in my application though it was paid and also for having a listening ear…also to the angels in this forum like Makano, frankrobbn, anon123 etc for helping in one way or the other through their questions and solutions to them, I say thank you and to the creator of this Nairaland forum too. It’s been a long journey but thank God it ended well. Pardon me if there are any typos, abeg manage the reading like that. It is still a dream. Thank you mellow.

WHAT GOD CANNOT DO TRULY DOESN’T EXIST

Hello Peruxie,

omodunniolaiya:
hello everyone! please I am in trouble. I applied for my permit in may and did my biometrics as well. recently I received a request letter for payment receipt in September. I did that and then on Monday I received a procedural fairness letter saying if I don't explain why the payment was invalid and pay the money I will be refused and not allowed to apply for 5 years. please after making a second payment, what documents do I submit to make sure i will be accepted for visa. because the message they sent is very serious. I do not know the issue with any of the payments because they were all approved by them but nevertheless I will pay again. along with new proof of payment, what else will I submit as an explanation for the previous payment invalidity? please this is urgent, I have till December 7 to reply

Hello Omodunniolaiya,

IRCC sending a PFL does not mean they can not be faulted for an error if you are sure that the initial payment was not charged back if you paid yourself.

The issue of chargeback might not be intentional, especially if a third party was used. It may be from the side of the transmitting bank.

If you are not so sure or don't have full trust or confidence in the third party, make the payment again and attach the payment receipt and a concise and direct LOE to explain the situation as unintentional. Be careful not to say too much.

NorthernshoreTS:
Hello Everyone

Its been a minute since my last post here. First off congratulations to everyone who's received PPR, May Canada favor y'all. For who are awaiting decisions, keep the faith and for those who have been delayed, remember that delay isnt denial.

So I am just about to start the actual application for my wife's study permit. The delay is as a result of making sure all necessary documents are in order. I have a little issue for which I seek guidance. We intend including our 5yr old daughter who is a US citizen, in my wife's application. The issue is her passport expired last week. I thought renewing US passport here in Nigeria who be easy but the closest date we got for an appointment is 20 Jan 2022. Note that it takes about 2-3weeks for issuance after appointment.

My question is this; What do we do now? Can we just go ahead and apply for my wife? Do we indicate in her application that she intends to go with our daughter? If our daughter's passport number is asked for to be included in the application, do we just indicate the expired passport number?

Please house, would appreciate some direction on this.

Hello NorthernshoreTS,

Leave your daughter out of the application. After she has received her renewed US passport, she can travel with her mom upon approval. An ETA will be issued if travelling from the US or a visitor visa for those facilitating entry from a visa-required country. A visitor visa will be issued if staying for 6 months or a visitor record if longer. If a visitor record will be issued boils down to the officer's discretion at the POE.

I want to ask if it is possible for Canada to process PPR in 3 months? also can PPR go through express entry? am looking for a way to escape the 6 months duration. if you have any info as regard this please share it with me.

Hello Giftedchild009,

I believe you are referring to PR (Permanent Resident) applications?! If correct, on some cases, some PR applications has been approved between 2 – 3 months, especially if it is without contradictions and verification can be easily conducted.

On the norm, the estimated processing time falls between 6 months – 1 year. All skilled/economic immigration application goes through the EE route.

Hi All,
Hoping someone can advise (please bear with me, I know it's not student visa related). My parents sent their passports to VFS Lagos in two separate envelopes, and tracking showed both were delivered by DHL on same day, Nov 17, just 30mins apart. Now my mum's passport has been dispatched and is currently with IRCC, my dad on the other hand is yet to receive any email from VFS. We have tried contacting them, but been unsuccessful so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do as we are worried his passport won't get to IRCC within the required 30 days

My advice and what I do. Email iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int and when you get auto response email attach your passport data page and your medical request form they will reply with a date for you to come for the medical and you can also go there. They will ask you to book manually the customer care will assist you there. But take this note they CLOSED FROM 29th of Nov and will resume work on 6th of Dec, so if you go make sure you go this week because through out next week they close.
Was there today that’s how I know about the closure for those date.

I hope this help

Good evening all,

I have some questions. Although I have sent messages on this platform and no one answered twice, so please help me answer this I beg in God's name.

First question is when a specific visa office request for mybankstatement ticket what is the way forward?

Secondly is it advisable to submit same for a salary account of an applicant even if not the main sponsor and has stopped working since August. Reason be that it was part of the bank statement submitted with two of the sponsor's bank statements and they request a one year bank statement. The agent is of the opinion not to submit my bank statement for the salary account since the statement submitted initially was more than 6months.

Please kindly advise.

Please kindly advise.

First question is when a specific visa office request for mybankstatement ticket what is the way forward? Answer: The way forward is to send what was requested. In this case, you have to send the MBS for all the account you used/submitted as your POF

For the second question, if they salary account was part of the SOA that was submitted, you will have to submit an MBS for it too. Leaving it out even if you're being sponsored, VO might interpret the intentional act, making him or her think you avoided submitting it maybe because they funds submitted isn't there anymore.

So please as regards what your agents told you, I'm not in support of that as the VO maybe is trying to assertain if the money you used in your POF is still intact or have you returned it back to the owner. So please if the money is intact but just that you have stopped working and earning salary, just attached an LOE, explaining you lost your job within this period. Attach the redundancy letter as well. But then, If you're idle within that period, you can try to justify that you're not idle per say but busy with trainings or voluntary unpaid jobs.

But in all honesty, try to be truthful in your reply.

Just my humble opinion though.

God is faithful and is always on time
God stood by me and didn’t put me to shame when I started this Canada journey I didn’t even know I could do it because somebody told me Canada is a no go area so channeled my energy towards the U.K immediately I got admission there I was ready to apply for a visa but my dad insisted that Canada is the goal, not the U.K. I reluctantly applied to just one university (University of Windsor) Master of Management(HRM) I applied in February and in between I got a job offer that was very suitable for my career but they decided to bond me for 2 years I was willing to let go of traveling out to take the job offer and my father insisted that Canada is the goal I was hurt because I have gone through all the processes for the job but I had to leave it because of that I found nairaland but I have already applied to the university then I saw something like career progression then I was scared because I have B.Sc. in Insurance and I applied for HRM all in all I was granted admission on May 30. I also learned about the NSE route and that I have to take IELTS that’s when wahala started oo because right from day one my uncles have always told me that the exam is very hard so I have made up my mind to avoid it but at this point, there’s no going back I practiced by myself and wrote it. Through this platform, I met Spectro baba (lol) the first time I messaged him I was able to pay my tuition fee through his guidance something I’ve been trying to do for a month. I applied on August 31st I went for upfront medical since July I was intentional about it. The wait after getting my correspondence letter was very tiring I sent a lot of emails, ordered my GCMS notes yet to receive it though, and raised webforms but I calm down a bit after the MP I contacted told me congratulations I still waited for a week before I got my approval. The wait humbled me because I don’t even know who to beg I remembered sending mail and I used their creator to beg them. All in all, God did it NLP also helped me to pray and I attended reboot camp. The way I will dance in church tomorrow ehn in fact they will need to hold me. GLORY!!!!!

Thank you for your response, I will wait. Sponsor was scholarship from state government.

It will be advisable to wait for your GCMS notes to know the exact thoughts of the VO before making a decision to open GIC, opening a GIC does not take time, so wait for your GCMS notes, did you use sponsor? did you declare the sponsors' occupation? how close are you to your sponsor?

Hello Efizyhenchmen,

I think a IRCC phisican has viewed your medicals but needed another medial review to confirm something before assessing passed.

When I did mine far back at Qlife, I encountered a lady who came back cos her X-ray wasn't done properly. Even mine that day was done twice before the lady asked me to come down that is ok now.

So i don't think is will be a big deal ok.

Ketima:

Thank you so much for the reply. The personal bank statement submitted did not have much when I submitted it since it’s not as if the salary is much like that. Does this mean I can still go ahead and submit it even though the money is not much?

good day Lianna. sorry I think u made a typo error cos I cant really understand. U mean they deported the person just because her port of entry was far from her school ?. wow.the reason I chose to enter through Toronto is is because u said u got ur study permit in Toronto ooo.though u said u had a connecting flight.I already booked a flight from Toronto to Vancouver but that would be a week after I arrive in Toronto as I want to spend new year with my brother .Hope it wont b a problem cos Vancouver is soo far from Toronto

Hello Omodunn

You will need to calm down, it's a PFL and not a Ban..

You can still get approved even with this PFL, so far you are able to prove to IRCC that the chargeback wasn't intentional. You will need to Pay again, but this time around, you will do it yourself..

I have personally worked with over 10 applicants who got PFL and 6 still got approved of their application, so PFL isn't a death sentence, so far you didn't cheat the crown intentionally..

Peace
omodunniolaiya:
hello everyone! please I am in trouble.
