Not true. South Africa was very reluctant to ban West African countries during your Ebola crisis when the West was locking you out. It was one of the last countries to do so.
Was Nigeria ever banned from traveling during the Ebola crisis Anyhow the covid banned is just precaution to avoid the spread.

The fact is that the Yorubas are fearless, courageous and quite outspoken in the face of oppression. I'm therefore, not surprised that this Doctor is a Yoruba woman.

Its not about bad traits cos nobody loves criminals viz a viz drug peddlers, fraudsters and what have you. There is a common dislike for Nigerians by South Africans. You may need to have lived amongst them to understand what I am saying, they hate our guts. You may even have heard Malema make reference to this in one of his speeches

Chief,we didn't start disliking Fulanis either ,it took years of bad treatment by them to us to feel this way. So even with South Africans I'm sure they had no problems with us before the rif raffs started flooding their country with criminality ,now the word immigrant or Nigerian is stigmatized in their heads. Its common nature though.

South African response

Following Dr. Ayoade Olatunbosun-Alakija's appearance on the BBC, she also appeared on South Africa's public broadcaster - the SABC on Sunday evening Live from Abuja. The video has garnered over 11,000 views in just 5 hours.

See here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrllN4bBMHg

Her BBC Interview had already gone viral throughout the day in South Africa with one of the local social media accounts by Clayson Monyela recording over 80,000 views in less than 24 hours.

When the Virus first emerged in Wuham China it took the world leaders almost 1yr and some months to start imposing travel bans but a new variant of same virus was found in Africa ooo the world is swinging into action in Banning Africans from traveling to their countries, that speaks volume of how the world sees African, its time for us to wake up and stop depending on these people for our entire existence because they literally do not want us regardless of how much they tried to hide such from their words but their actions indicated all signs, thank God we are somehow immune to the virus if not e for bloody for our side.

Nigerian fighting to prevent South africans from facing global xenophobia.

How ironic.

The same thing we did for them during the arpatheid regime that they never appreciate.

What we don't like is u exxagerating your role in SA as if South Africans themselves didn't fight for their freedom.

Look at Ramaphosa's response blasting Western nations which has been viewed over 300,000 times in just 13 hours on a UK website. Are u telling me SA is not playing its role?

The problem with Nigerians is u lack humility - that's what turns South Africans off about u guys.

I am so happy Dr. Alakija nailed the obvious. Africa needs wake up from slumber. The UK prime minister should be nervous to just talk rubbish about Africa cos he knows he will get a call from one of the presidents, but this is not happening. God bless Dr. Alakija for this truth.

I would like to know how many flu or malaria variants there are and how their lethality compares ? Every Yr flu shots are given. Are the shots new or same as previous yrs ?
It was inevitable that a highly mutable virus will evade current vaccines. My fear is that the virus acquires genes of more fatal viral/bacterial genomes (antigenic drift, recombination etc) and bodies start piling up.

He's even overlooking the fact that she works for the African Union and it's her duty to speak up for African nations.

Ramaphosa's speech blasting the travel bans is also trending globally - but we'll be told a Nigerian saved us.

Another emotional rant from the typical African victims. What are African countries doing to develop local capacity to produce vaccines? The government of Russia, China, Brazil are all producing vaccines to protect their people.

Dr Ayoade Alakija should direct her anger to the useless Nigeria government that has done absolutely nothing for Nigerians, even the palliative that was donated to Nigerians was stolen. the government should at least provide incentives and support to private organisations to develop vaccines in Nigeria.

Months after the Federal Government announced plans to restart local vaccine production at the Federal Vaccine Production Laboratory, Yaba, Lagos, nothing significant has changed at the facility, a PREMIUM TIMES investigation has revealed.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/253420-nigerias-vaccine-production-centre-remains-comatose-despite-govt-assurances.html

Nigeria’s vaccine production centre remains comatose despite govt assurances
ByAyodamola Owoseye December 24, 2017 3 min read

Mr. Adewole explained the need for the country to start local production in the country to stop its dependence on international donors, especially Global Vaccine Alliance, GAVI.

GAVI is an international finance mechanism that enables developing countries to procure vaccines at very cheap prices. By 2022, Nigeria will no longer be on the GAVI list as it would have to pay full costs for vaccines procured.

Since the closure of the Yaba laboratory in 1991, Nigeria has relied 100 per cent on imported vaccines and donations while the Yaba facility rots away.

While that has happened, episodes of deadly disease outbreaks have met the country always ill-prepared, with thousands killed by Lassa fever, Meningitis, Yellow Fever, and Ebola over the years.

In 2017 alone, Meningitis killed over a thousand people in different states across the country. Also, a shortage of anti-snake venom for three weeks led at least 250 preventable deaths.

SA has never banned Nigeria for anything, even with your scam and drug-exporting pandemic. So I don't know where u get this notion that if you discovered Omicron SA would not have hesitated to ban u.

She's impressive! Outspoken but not arrogant - which is what South Africans admire. Other Nigerians need to learn to strike that balance, then we'll get along very well between the two countries.

I will register your limited liability company in the UK within 3 days without any down payment.

A lot of people don't know they can own a company in the UK and operate from Nigeria. You can also use the company to do business here.

We are currently running a black Friday promo.

Check my thread on company registration in UK to find out more information.

How exactly do you even blame the west for not vaccinating people who have sworn never to be vaccinated? Last time I checked, 4 out of 5 Nigerians I've spoken to have sworn never to take the covid vaccines, saying it is useless and a ploy to kill them. How exactly do you force vaccination on people who have rejected it?
Oga, where did you get your statistics from? what informed your conclusion that 4 out of 5 Nigerians have rejected the Vaccine?

So much Deceptions and Delusions in these last of the Last days. You need the wisdom of GOD to operate, if not you fall for the Deceptions and Delusions.

CV is the Red carpet to the Beast System.
Everything that is being done about it has 2 major End points .
First is Population Control and Depopulation
Second target is to connect souls to the Mark of the Beast.

Revelation 13:16-18
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

are u saying taking vaccine means you've taken mark of the beast?

So i don't know much about the flu but the malaria is not a virus but a parasite, they are kind of different. However, malaria mortality is till very high in Nigeria, kills an average of 216 Nigeria daily from this article https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2021/nov/08/nigeria-unlikely-to-reach-impossible-covid-vaccine-target "Malaria kills an average of 216 Nigerians a day, according to the minister of health, Dr Osagie Ehanire", so you can see how much we really need to focus on Malaria not covid.
From information coming out of SA not what these news station are spreading, its symptoms are mild which means the virus is on its way becoming a "successful organism". Successful organism donot kill their host but live symbiotically or mutually with their host. But hey they just want to keep the panic going and shut Africa out. I believe this is what is happening now

Agreed many of the ignoramuses here are on nairaland.

But there are some Africans willing to get vaccinated but they can't get access to the vaccines that is where the problem with vaccines inequity comes in so there is need for vaccines in Africa.
