Truly, it has been God all the way.
I know my application wasn't perfect but God perfected it.

I studied Chemical engineering and I'm going for a PGCert in Computer Applications Development. Isn't God wonderful?!

My sponsor is my elder brother, no lump sum, no landed properties or company registration. Just the first term tuition was paid ($8,723). I was worried about my family ties but I talked about my love for my family and opportunities in Nigeria upon completing my studies.

Though the application might be very stressful, the wait may seem long, trust in God and He will make everything beautiful in His time.

Indeed, it will end in praise.

Amen! And Congratulations to you
Canada will Favour you

Shey I just wrote it..I tookmy time to read and observe thread 600 to 625..only two people came back..its selfish..you would think there is enough info until you realise it's how to submit passprt and documents needed to travel full the thread.
One of the two persons listed health insurance for her kids from her school..I had never thought of that until she dropped that info..people dont know how helpful it is to drop full transcript.
You can imagine. I’m sure majority of us don’t know about the health insurance.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by SwayB(m): 1:01pm On Nov 30, 2021
Guys we all need to do better and learn from the Indians especially. I know we Nigerians are all differentiated by our ethnicity but when we all get to Canada(Insha Allah) we will all be know as Immigrants from Nigeria. No one cares whether you are Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. The CEO of some of the top companies in the USA are immigrants from India. We need to help ourselves, no man is an island. It must end in praise for us all.

Hi, congrats!!
Either option you asked is fine.
In my opinion, if it's convenient, let them send it to your account (then you print out your bank statement), then they attach a letter stating why they transferred to your account and it's purpose.

All the best man!!

Hi guys.

I really appreciate the work y'all do here. I've been a silent reader and I've learnt so much from this platform.

I'm pleased to say that I got my PPR last week.

However, I have a question.

How can someone show proof of funds when asked at the Point of Entry (POE) into Canada?

All the funds I need are in my sponsor's account. Should I just print his bank statements and letter of sponsorship or transfer the funds to my account?

Please treat as urgent. Thanks.

Good afternoon everyone.. please I would need an urgent reply.
1. Is getting tax clearance compulsory for a sponsor from Nigeria?
2. And how can I prove my relationship with my sponsor in my application as it's a distance relative that is gonna act as my sponsor. Asides from mentioning it in my SOP?

Based on what I have read on this Thread, they don’t always ask for POF at POE, But incase they do, the print out of the Bank statement of your sponsor and the Letter of sponsorship is going to work.

Hello. Our case is same... lol. I also got approved Nov 19th and I applied with my 2years old. He is yet to get an approval

I dont know what your situation is but I've decided not to worry myself about his cause it will surely come. I plan to travel alone now, then apply for my husband with reason stating that he needs to bring my son and that my son's approval was delayed and couldn't wait for him before travelling blablabla.

You just need to keep sending mails if you must travel with your child at this time, hopefully it will come soon but just to be rest assured it will definitely come.

Ghost Update:
once an application was opened or touched by a VO, an application/profile update appears on GCkeys. Once you see it and log in, nothing changes and it goes back to application submitted. That's what is called ghost update. What that means is that a VO cleaned the back soot covering your application grin grin grin and will be back to it. Summarily, Ghost update means that even though it looks like nothing is going on, underground(behind the scene evaluation is going on)

During my time, I noticed 4 or so ghost update. I don't know who coined that name but that's what we came onboard to meet. So most times when an application has stayed long without any sign, we pray for a ghost update to feel that at least our application isn't forgotten.
