sometimes we say things to express our anger , leave that guy alone, the boy death is very painful....don't take the guy word serious. the death pain everybody.

The beating aside, the boy was also evidently poisoned. Whatever he was forced to drink was corrosive judging from the way his upper lip was burnt. The poison most likely killed him.

I disagree with you.We went there and came out unscathed.... morally and physically and today,we are where we are now in the society.

The fact that the authorities of the school with all audacity can deny what happened depicts a clear fact that they do have some sort of backing. We can’t exempt political and some high class backing in cases like this.

Again I read somewhere that the kids responsible for the alleged murder are no longer in the country. Then again I kept asking myself how they got out within such a short period. #F.Connection I believe.

Another troubling question is, did the kids disappear out of the country?? How could they allow them leave knowing the atrocity they had committed?? What actions have the government taken against the parents of the kids responsible for moving them out even when investigation is on going.

This is really really sad tbh

For one I don't believe that a boy of that age could be initiated into a cult in a private school of that status.
Also what is the probability that all his room-mates,from obviously well to do homes,were cowered into lying about what happened by parents of the said involved pupils,according to the mother in another interview she granted.
The unfortunate thing about stories like this is that any other narrative that doesn't show murder and cover up by the school would be viewed with suspicion and rejected.
If indeed the school too is innocent,their delay in responding when the first online stories came out,make them look guilty and doesn't help their cause any bit.Even their press release was too cursory for such a case.
They have not done themselves justice at all.

The school authorities were most likely not initially aware of what happened, especially since the perpetrators bullied the witnesses and the victim into keeping mum, but like someone pointed out, the school owes the students under their charge the duty of care. Their neglect led to a child's demise. To worsen things, they seem to be only interested in protecting the school's image instead of joining hands with law enforcement to get to the root of the matter. It is obvious the boy was beaten and forced to drink something corrosive. The latter led to his death.

Boarding school is over rated...Day school presents the best opportunity for parents to properly supervise their wards.

Times have changed unlike in the past,children are easily influenced by peer group and what they see on the Internet.

Boarding school doesn't cut it for me.

Even in day school there is bullying and cultism.

I really did suffer so much in boarding school , so much ...and to think my dad never gave me listing ears when i complain is hrt brking .
He will even flog me and take me back to school anytime i run home when it becomes unbearable

My youngest brother schooled in Edgewood college, Lekki, before going for university Abroad. We are from Rivers State, IMO, my Dad only sent him there primarily for the sake of prestige and maybe to enable him have good contacts for the future.

Me wey attend FGC I sabi book pass everybody for Nigeria.
