GAZZUZZ: Ogoplus, IS CAR NOT REVVING IN NEUTRAL A BIG PROBLE. Because my FX35 whether in gear D,1,2,3,4 or 5, drives fine, gears P,R,N works fine. But the issue is that i cant revv the engine in neutral. But once i engage the gear in drive, the car moves smoothly. What do i do please? and the water in my radiator plastic reserve tank practically boils when the car is on for a period of 20min. Is that normal?, because i dont think so. Help me please. Thanks. |

PrinceJFubara: Why are you revving? There is a limiter in neutral and park, its a factory design. For the boiling, check the pressure cap (radiator cover) |

Hello @ Gazzuzz, i just stumble at your great work on this thread and it comes handy for me. Pls i am considering to ring my camry 2009 engine. Pls where can i get quality ring and top gasket and at what prices pls? And do you think ringing will be effective? The car is shorting oil and i top it with 1litr weekly. Secondly, i usually notice a fog-like covering on my windscreen from within whenever i park the car for extended period of time say 9 to 5pm even when it did not rain and in this dry season period. Pls what could be the cause and what shld i do? I acquired the car tokunbo march this year and has not done any work on the AC system, not even top up of gas. Pls help. |

safsoorg:Hello oga Gazzuzz, I still haven't been able to solve anything. If anything, it is worse. I was told one of the error codes is for the camshaft sensor and the other for the knock sensor. I have changed both without a result. If anything, the dashboard brought out the check engine light and the car's movement became extremely sluggish. The following morning the check engine symbol was gone but it came up again yesterday when I drove through a steep road. The car jerks once in a while when at average speed. I have two rewires telling two different things now: one said it's the gear brain box while the other said it's the engine brain box (and said it would be fine when we flush it. We did but there is no difference). Please, I need help with this. God bless |

Opynion: I wi assume the engine is a camry with a 4cylinder engine made in kentucky USA. You will have to replace the piston rings and the piston along side because it has a defective design from production. You will have to import the parts if you want to do this properly. |

Pls, are there dealerships in Abuja who deal on strictly Clean title vehicles? Or one has to keep searching and spending money on VIN checks to be able to find a clean title car? Thanks |

Good afternoon all, I am using a 2009 Toyota Corolla, it started showing maintenance required sign a few weeks back along with the indicator in the picture attached, also noticed that the mpg keeps decreasing by single digits whenever I drive it, I can leave the house with 19.8mpg and return with 19.7mpg, i don't know if anybody has experienced something similar, thank you. 1 Like

Witchersunited: Maintenance Required means car is due for a 5000mile service (Oils, filters, pads etc) Check engine light means you have an error, so scan vehicle |

GAZZUZZ:Thanks a lot. I am sure I have changed the one in the second diagram (camshaft sensor) and if the first one is the knock sensor, I changed that as well. Unless the guy bought inferior or faulty ones. Someone even suggested that the gear brain box might be the issue? Is that a possibility or just quack professionals talking? |

safsoorg:Let me be sincere with you, using codes to do literary interpretation doesn't apply for most fault , that is why I will always advice against it, cos you can be led astray easily if it alway based on changing parts based on what code are getting cos it always end up as waste of money . .The best way to fix issue is to get full understanding on how the systems works and the signaling process that takes place which is the skillset of a qualified professionals technician that is equipped with diverse testing method to handle issues as compared to a diyer or those road side kazeems already calling brainbox or gearbox  , just unfortunate that our local refuse to upgrade  (story for another day)So I will advice you to seek physical help not remote of a good technician that really knows his onion to do further physical troubleshooting to see beyond the codes you are getting which is affecting the cars. |
