taylormed2:You don't have sense. I don't know why some senseless people keep comparing Nigeria with these developed countries. What is the minimum wage of these countries you mentioned? And, what is the minimum wage of both civil and public servants in Nigeria? Those countries you mentioned have a working system, even unemployed ones are been paid every month. The elderly are been taken care of by the government with a free transport ticket all their life. No corruption, every government fund is being accountable to those in charge. Nigeria is the least underpaid civil and public servant in the whole world. How can you increase the prices of foods and other commodities without an increment in people's salaries? Anybody supporting this evil and the wicked government will never end well and their families. I know there are some parts this government has done well, like remembering the pensioners. God go help Nigeria. There is light at the end of the dark tunnel |

It's well, car users and business owners who depend more on generators to run their business will feel the impact more, some of the business owners will have no choice than to go for other renewable energy sources. |

There is no need to prepare for anything, when they remove it they should also prepare for what comes out of if. I remember during the endsars protest some people said SARS is not going anywhere but eventually they did. Some people said the government is not moved by the protest, they will kill all of una and nothing will happen. The luck them get be say them no capture them clearly in the act on video if not we might not be in the same country by now. Even at that properties, banks, government buildings all over the country where burnt down by the angry mob. If fuel sells for 350 that’s like 2times the current amount Nigerians are expected to suffer twice what they are suffering now which is very inconsiderate! Prices of food and transportation will X2 and you expect people to not react? |

Having oil doent count.. Because local or foreign refineries will still buy crude at the standard international rate which is around 70USD and refine to sell around 0.8 USD per litre= N331... When u put transport cost ,tax etc...then it will eventually be N345 backbencher: |

taylormed2:Your brain is retarded. Look at the countries your comparing with Nigerian. A litter of fuel is a dollar in USA, a country where people earn at least $150 per day. With $50 you can get 50 litters of fuel that could last you for 2 weeks if you commute daily. That’s nothing compared to their $2000, $4000 and above monthly income. Then you think it’s cheap compared to Nigerian? If fuel sells at 350 that means it would cost you around 50k to fuel your car monthly if you communicate daily and that’s not considering traffic and your type of engine. How much do the average Nigerian earn? Shame on you ! |

I believe this removal is solely because of Akiko Dangote. He will start producing PMS next year and this of course is a way of the govt helping him again to promote his business. He had mentioned in the past that his refinery will only sell at the international rate. And the refinery is not meant for Nigerians |

GEJ need to explain to Nigerians how he managed to pay fuel subsidy and yet sold fuel at N86 per liter. GEJ need to explain to Nigerians how he managed to controls our borders and yet a bag of rice was sold for 8k. GEJ need to explain to Nigerians how he managed to build 17 federal universities in 17 states in Nigeria. GEJ need to explain to Nigerians how he managed to build almajiri schools in all the Norther Local governments. GEJ need to explain to Nigerians how he managed to hold $1=#165 for 4yrs GEJ need to Explain to Nigerians how he managed to push Nigeria's economy to be number 1 in African. Gaddafi1:They prefer to change engine because lazy mechanics said so. They can't even differentiate between fake piston rings and original unlike in the past when people ringed their engines or bought new engine (not tokunbo/used). Mechanics are simply collaborating with used engines' sellers to exploit people. Some of the so called toks engines are already poorly ringed here in Nigeria. However, there are some decent mechanics that buy in bulk genuine piston rings, valve seals online and ring.rebuild engines perfectly; this is the way to go. |

Antoeni:Simple...high oil revenues between $91-130 from 2010-14, which provided dollars to 1.Pay for massive subsides on petrol 2.Keep the value of the naira high enough. When oil prices fell below $80 in 2014, that's when the problems started. We drained our forex reserves to $28 billion by 2015 to delay the inevitable, but eventually we had to face reality. We were here before , in 1973-82 when we had high money from oil revenue thanks to the high crude prices of the era, when a loaf of bread cost 50 kobo by 1978. Back then we subsided far more than we do...not just fuel, bread and a host of other things. Because oil revenues dropped by 1982/3 due to oil crash, that's why prices went up by 1984...and beyond. By 1996, bread cost N50-100, and fuel was at N22 (UP from 15kobo in 1980) NOTE; This is not to defend Buhari, or attack GEJ, but to give a reason why we have economic issues. |

Gaddafi1:You're either one of the paid agents of this devilish government that have been assigned to sample people's opinions regarding the subject matter or you're just one of the many gullible Nigerians who don't ask questions but quickly key in to wicked government policies and adapt to their excruciating pains ! If you must know,Nigerians are not preparing for any non existing, wicked subsidy removal and that's because such wicked move at this period will be resisted by the people ! Buhari can try us;#endsars will be a child's play ! Why are Nigerians this gullible ? How many time is this evil government of Buhari actually going to remove the so called subsidy ? Perhaps,we need to remind some of you gullible Nigerians that subsidy removal was given as an excuse by the present administration to arrive at the present price of N165.00 per litre ! So which subsidy is Mr Buhari planning to remove again ? Op,if you like you can sell off all your properties to prepare for the dubious subsidy removal; na your own palava be that ! As for the people, that nonsense will be fiercely resisted ! |
