A resident in the community who spotted them as they arrived came out of his house with two dogs to prevent the officials from doing their job

A neighbour that was supposed to pay the bill forgot and the guys came that afternoon. We pleaded with them that they shouldn't disconnect it that we would go and pay that very day and even showed them the money but the idiots still insisted on disconnecting it. What even provoked me was when one of them said "Na my work I dey do o".........That statement vex me eh, I asked him one question. " Bros if na your mama dey stay this compound you go disconnect her light because you dey do your work?" The idiot couldn't answer, he was just beating around the bush. We stopped begging them and asked them to do their worst and walked out on them. They didn't disconnect it again and left with their ladder.

BEDC are the worse sets of discos company they don’t give good power supply but always bring outrageous bills, I’ve been in our house since one year I don’t normally know how they sneak in and drop bills in our gates, the day I go catch the person na slap I go give am

We experienced the same in my area. We actually paid but with 2k less of what we are supposed to. Because one of us was late. By the time he brought the money, those idiots were already in our compound with their ladder. We showed them the billed and the balance. Someone climb bike in their present to their office to pay. We left thinking the matter had been resolved. Only for the fools to still disconnect our light. We contacted a local electrician to reconnect us. They came back the next day to disconnect again because we did not pay the reconnection fee. Unfortunately for them, it was a public holiday. Omo, the full compound come out like endsars protest. Men, women join voice. We carry their ladder enter our compound. Na station manager cum beg before dem get their ladder and car key.

As a child in ajegunle. I saw my mum cry over what I got to know later as crazy bill. We dint have light for 3 weeks, yet they brought bill of 8k...in 1995.

Till date, I hate all staff of NEPA , PHCN ECN etc.

The problem in Nigeria is paying for estimates or paying without service. At the end of the day, the money is not reinvested for better service. It is either stolen or wasted.

The fact remains though that Nigerians hate paying for services and maintenance. This is the justification for prepaid services. You do not pay for your phone service, you lose service.

lolxxxxx hahahaha Baba those thieves are wicked my own is even 2 rooms and parlour and will be giving 30k every month, not until a prepaid meter was installed, I never knew I could just do 2500 per month. Now those accumulated bill? I had to go for credit adjustment. They letter splash it by 2. In fact they gave me 50% of those money oooo. That's what you would have done
