The relationship between a woman and her mother in-law is instinctive. Women recognize they're all opportunists. The mother knows this new woman in her son's life could only truly love her own offsprings and is only with her son cause of what he has.

My wife and my mother are friends

I don't care how my wife relate with my wife or siblings but she dare not come between me and my family or interfere with how I relate with my family. And the way she relate with my families will go a long way to determine how I treat her own families as well.

Nonsense. Some mothers in law are close to the wives out of love. They are ready treat the wives as they would their own daughters. There would be disagreement, but these are sorted out, and the relationship gets stronger

Someone from a broken home can’t comprehend what love is . Lest I forget , controversy generates traffic .
There’s only one woman , who won’t abandon you no matter your life situation ( poor, bedridden, thief, or even on death row ) . That’s the mother . To me , anything she says , will be considered first . I’ve a mother that people bring that daughters to learn from . She’s a teacher . She’s like a role model to most young girls in my community.
For future wifey , she will have to tow my mum line , because if she didn’t instill the good and responsible qualities in me , I don’t think she did agree to marry me .

Most people often cite how they prefer the westernised lifestyle in terms of relating to in-laws but will not know how much our Africa parents put in to get us education without support from government. I will continue to take care of my parents whether any woman complain or not. I made it clear before any relationship.

The counsellor needs to understand raising an average child to adult hood cost atleast 15 million naira and that's just feeding for 2 decades, clothing, and education, not to mention emotional and physical investment which can't be quantified

The least you can do for someone who spent over 15 million raising you through sweat and blood, is to allow your wife play with her and bond with her like a daughter especially when she's down and lonely
