It’s a two way road. If this said man knew what was wrong he would have done it himself. And please acknowledge that he served using knowledge, please acknowledge that.

On ethical level prolly he should fix the phone and the man should still reward him with what he has but that wouldn’t be such case.

So there is only two way it would happen. You will have to charged explicitly or don’t charge at all.

Same people will blame Dangote for selling cement higher. I don't know what 2k can buy in Nigeria now, nevertheless, the repairer should have charged the man something fair, then teach the man how to do it incase it happens again. Where I live, thats the way they do things.

Nigeria will be better when the people are ready.

the painful this is when they (the phone engineers) go to other service providers and they get charged, they will be haggling like broke-ass n*@@3rs.

I have no business with what the phone engineer charged the customer, in the eyes of Nigerians the phone engineer is right after all he's not running a charity organization and the Op is right to keep mum but Divine judgement cannot be applied using Nigerian street law of being smart, and because of that @ Op has the greater judgement.

My nephew carelessly pressed the sleep button on the tv in our house.The screen went blank but the red power on button was showing when I switched on the tv.I tried all techniques to make it turned on but it didn't.So I took it to a tv repairer.He charged me #1500 and asked me to come back the next day.After repairing it I took it home.
As i was using the remote to search for channels.I mistakenly pressed the sleep button and the tv went blank but the red light power button was on.I pressed the sleep button again the tv screen came up.That was how I knew that nothing serious happened to my tv.

One tv repairer continued to charge me bmoney on this until one of his apprentices told me the secret privately - it's wrong to charge people (high price) for a minor fault...no justification

Same as the scammer at aso that promised CHAINge but delivered sorrow, tears and blood!
