please like how much you had in total before applying cause i wish to apply as self employ too kindly help with best amount of money someone should have in account thanks

This is different for everybody. I had half my tuition paid and had the rest for the next year and a half saved up including living expenses for two years. So just calculate yours and see what figure that gives you.

The whole process took about a year to be honest and I got my lawyer through infoplace Canada. I started November last year and got my visa November this year lol

House, please I will need you clarification on these two questions:

Aside the deposit fee, is it also important one pays part of the main tuition fee before study permit application?

Secondly, is it necessary to have the entire tuition fee covered in your POF or can this be overlooked?

Okay boss... If you paid 4k cad . Ugo did it.

Ogayemi fee is 3500 but in USD.

Unless infoplace did a re-application instead.

All this can be unravalled with a single name though.

ALHAMDULILLAH!!!! My younger brother application was approved today at the 3rd attempt.

The first application was handled by one travel agent company (Snowfox). The application was submitted on September 2020 and got rejected the same month after payment exorbitant fee. It was during this first application process that I got to know everything about visa application because it was more or less like I was the handling the application. The application was rejected based on purpose of visit, financial asset and employment history.

I handled the second application myself and I submitted the application on 6th November 2020. I got advise from one agent that I would need a lawyer to draft the LOE that would address the refusal reasons which I did. The mistake I did was that I didn't apply for the gcms notes before reapplying and it backfired as the application was also refused the second time 7 months later, 9th June, 2021 based on the purpose of visit and financial assets.

I got to know this thread after the submission of the second application and it helped me in the third application. I patiently waited for the gcms notes to arrive. I sent an email to @Frankrobbn to assist me but he said I should pay 20k as consultation fee before he can say anything, I was like wawu!

After that, I reached out to @Justmellow and he immediately offered to assist. He gave me advise on what and what to do and also helped me to rewrite the SOP and LOE because my younger brother was actually switching career from Architecture (OND) to Computer Science (BSC), Universityof Regina. I only paid for the two letters.

The third application was submitted on September 18 after Justmellow had reviewed the documents and gave me go ahead, and here we are today.

My people, always do your due diligent, pray and be patient. The PPR will definitely come at the right time.

And again, do not joke with your SOP as it is one of the key factors that can convince the VO to approve your application. If you can't write a convincing SOP please reach out to Justmellow, he will do a justice to your SOP and guide you throughout the application process.

I've started my own application too but I've not submitted it.

I really appreciate Justmellow for always responding to my message. You are indeed a guru!!!.
Boss, sent you a DM. I also have an admission from University of Regina, going through the OND route like your brother. Please respond.

Let me share my own two cents about agents here. Please understand that this is my opinion and I know it’ll differ from yours and that is okay but there might be a thing or two to learn from both our opinions.

I’ve been following this thread since 2013 and when I wanted to put in my first application in 2017 I used a lot of things I learnt from here to make it happen. I worked on it with a friend but unfortunately I got rejected. My 2nd application was the same too. Now I’m not saying I got rejected both times because I did it myself, I got rejected because my application wasn’t strong enough and I didn’t have enough funds to back myself up. When I was ready to apply the 3rd time I got really busy and decided to use an agent but a lot of the changes to my application I made myself, like changing my course which I think had a big impact on the final outcome. The one thing the agent said I should do as a self sponsored applicant that I didn’t think about was to open a fixed deposit account and have the money for my tuition and living expenses kept there. I also got rejected for the 3rd application but because I knew my application was good enough to get me a visa and my agent knew too so she advised I try judicial review if I had the money and I did which ultimately got me my visa.

Before you get an agent you have to check if they are accredited by the IRCC and that’s really important. Don’t just get any Tom dick and harry to sort your thing out. This is your life we are talking about.

The only thing I didn’t like about using an agent was not having direct access to my portal. To check I had to send her a message and they’ll send me a screen shot but I mean maybe it saved me the headache of actually checking all the time because it messes with your head lol.

So can you do it yourself and save yourself a lot of money? Yes!! you have all the information you need in this forum to be honest. You just have to be ready to do your research, ask questions and be patient.
But if you decide that you want to use an agent because you were busy like I was or because you just don’t know how to do these things make sure it’s an accredited agent. Don’t use these people who aren’t. You need to be able to hold people accountable and have them loose their license if they mess you up.

That’s my 2 cents. I hope it helps somebody out there

Not what you are thinking bro.

There's no letter from IRCC during JR sir. Aside rule 9 note/gcms received via court order. Other letters are from agent/lawyers .

The hallmark is that you've gotten PPR which is great.

But we can also use your JR timeline to checkmate our own too .

Also there's a lawfirm compiling gcms with interest with one that went via JR in a bid to catch IRCC Chinook software used in processing applications which is the refusal notes generator.

The exercise cut across people from different countries. You can read others gcms file if skeptical.

It has ended in praise. PPR ALERT.
Third time applicant. What God cannot do does not exist.
I was admitted to UBC in 2019. I have had two refusals. The ist in 2019, the reasons were many... reason for visit, finances, no family ties, employment etc. The application was a disaster.

I deferred to 2020. By then I was married and had my son. I started online and started building my profile. I got a job working remotely as a research assistant for my professor in Canada. I applied and got financial aid and extra funding. Ohhh my admission came with 95 percent funding covering my school fees.

I was still a bit broke and by the time I applied in April 2021 I got another refusal in July 2021. I got the NSE letter and ignored it by the way. The reason was funds. I wasn't surprised. I haven't started getting payments for the work I was doing as a research assistant. I barely had up to 2 million in my account.
Now for this third application. I'll put up my timeline and documents. . Bear with me... its plenty ohhh. Lol

Timeline:
Submitted my application: 27th October 2021
Medicals upfront updated: 17th November 2021
Eligibility review: started around 29th or 30th Dec.

Hi good afternoon.
Please I have a concern that is urgent. I received procedural fairness letter from IRCC after receiving request letter. Unfortunately I didn't know about it and the deadline for me to submit an explanation letter has passed. I just decided to go behind my agent's back and finally got access to the application today, that's when I saw the letter. The deadline date was December 21st. But fortunately a decision has not yet been made on the application. Please what do I do now because I'm emotionally distressed and confused and scared. Please what do I write to them because I have no idea which payment method my agent used and he is refusing to tell me about it. Please how do I explain and pay the new fee. Your response would be greatly appreciated
