Hi fam. My wife is a US Citizen and filed for our CR1 Visa since May 2021. Our PD is May 28th 2021. After the notice of receipt for i130, the only response we received from USCIS was "we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative..." and that was since 27th of October. Our Service Center is Texas. Please does anybody have any suggestion on when our i130 can be approved? I'm pitying my wife for having to come see me every now and then☹. Thanks for your response!

Alagbon in Ikoyi Lagos is where you will get the police report. Take a journey to Lagos, if you engage any police station in Benin city for it they will be sending it to Lagos for procurement and the authenticity you can not gauge.

W2 and other financial papers are for three years. Currently 2018/2019/2020 by April 2022 it will change to 2019/2020/2021

Happy New Year everyone and hope you all had great holidays?

Any idea on how long it usually takes to get green card mailed over?

My mum’s SSN card came in two weeks after she got here but it’s like a month and some days now that she arrived and no sign of the green card yet.

Please what’s your own process like?

Happy New Year Everyone

I want the house to please help shed light on my question
I am gathering all necessary document ahead for the Embassy interview after the NVC stage.

It has been a common thing for the U.S Embassy to ask for an ID 10-15 years old from interviewee and also for a WAEC certificate.

My Question: My WAEC certificate from 2002 have some mistakes in the name, the last Alphabet of my middle name was omitted, instead of Moses, Mose was written and also my day of birth, 14 was written instead of 04. WAEC says they can't make corrections on already printed certs.

If a consular should ask for that, would this discrepancies be a big deal and if an affidavit is sworn to address this mistakes, would it be recognized? Thanks

Just swear an affidavit on the waec certificate based on the name and date correction just to be on a safer side. Carry other documents that bear your real name and date of birth to back up your claim.

Thanks. I was of the same opinion until someone says the U.S Embassy would not recognize an affidavit. Since its just to substitute for an Old ID, which they usually ask for. So, i thought i'll share it here just incase someone knows who's been in that shoes.

Hello,
I’m just wondering if immigrant visa interviews are currently being conducted in the embassy in Nigeria.
The entire process is very slow and it seems as if nothing is happening. Please, can someone give an update on what is going on.

There's a big discrepancies in The name and DOB on my WAEC certificate..

I just hope they never ask because I rarely hear any former interviewees say something about it...

Your educational certificates are not prerequisites for an immigration visa interview it can only be an an option. If you have any other documents that spells your names correctly please go for it.

Thanks. I think the reason they ask for WAEC sometimes is cos the pictures and DOB are on it unlike NECO. The few persons i gave read about were asked precisely for WAEC cert since they don't have an old GOVERNMENT ID. The dilemma i am in is i don't have any old government ID. I just want to be on the safer side and prepare ahead

Paccus:

WAEC is not compulsory , you can use Neco, Jamb or any other old ID card you have even your secondary school ID card.. if there is discrepancies in your WAEC don’t take it there

Hello all,

Any news regarding F1(family sponsored) for adult children of citizens. I know there's a backlog but it seems things might move forward this year from the second half of the year. I just want to know prior to covid, who has an idea of an estimate of how fast did the dates move on the charts for dates of filing applications.
