Excuse from the coach ,Algeria should have won 1-0 at worst

How far your broilers ?

[quote author=Curtisaxel10 post=109297507]I wonder what the hell Aigbogun is doing with that team. Is he the team's official bribe taker or what because that is the only job he knows how to do well.[/quot
Aibogun is playing his technical part well.

Out of Moses Simon's 10 crosses, only 2 were successful.
He lost the ball 19 times
Had no shot on target.
Missed a big chance.
Made no single key pass.

And yet Moses Simon is the MOTM for some people.
Well, there is no problem if he is your man of the match.

This is not an effort to bring down Moses Simon.
The best is what we hanker for the team.

He lost the ball 19 times ?

You agenda can’t stop Moses from being one of our best players yesterday ,swallow your pride and praise him like many others

Seeing how we played yesterday really makes me distaste Rohr the more. The NFF should serve him another sack letter because one is not enough. If I had his email address, I would do it for free ASAP.

Ekong really showed class there by just roughing up sallah and make him uncomfortable instead of going in on a rash tackle , those bukina faso defenders would have hack sallah down right there.

Exactly. Salah was going for the soft placing already. Those Faso guys go prefer penalty sef.

Make we sef dey find pk. Its like this afcon have pk giftings in the bag.

Thanks for listing his cons and lets assume stats those are all true. What about the pros of his game yesterday?
He was a major outlet for the team and almost all attacking buildups came through the left, including the goal. If Chukwueze played to the same level on the other flank what would have become of Egypt?
His work rate meant he was as present in defense as in offense.
Admittedly his final ball, if improved by even 50% would make him unplayable and that's what makes him a frustrating player to watch.
He has in my book always been a starter for this team. I though agree this is not to everyone's taste.

Oga you're very wrong

Always watch match live on TV
You people are judging formation based on what was shown as formation at the beginning of the match. The coach only provides information about his selection, the formation you see highlighted on TV is all guess work.

Baba na wetin I watch for video after they sang national anthem

You're telling me what I saw while I was watching the match for hesgoal as I dey watch match.... they showed it on video and they showed the Egypt own too with commentary
Baba na guess work Skysport do with the formation on Hesgoal before match start. Iheanacho was supporting Awoniyi upfront in a 4-4-1-1. There is a reason our wingers were spamming crosses into the box for the strikers, and we were launching balls to the strikers from defence. Make una dey watch ball na.

In just a match, Eguavoen has been able to implement a pattern/system, and it has worked perfectly for him, but not a single pattern or defined formation in over 5years from Rohr, yet when we started calling him out prior the world cup in 2018, people called us haters and wailers.

Yeah Nwakali should be the last person you bring on when your back's against the wall. Kelechi should be eased into a game when we are well untop or leading comfortably.

To be fair to Eguavoen the Egyptians were beginning to advance forward so maybe he thought Nwakali could provide a long ball to the forwards.

Papi85:
But when eguavoen brought in nwakali instead of Onyeka when the team needs energy, pace and physicality to defends its lead fear me ooo

That move he made was too damn risky

Ejuke is one the super eagles players I love to watch....but you must give kudos to Moses Simon, going forward he and I heanacho, plus aribo behind them plus a lil effort from awoniyi were the reason kept the Egyptian on their toes....stop rubbishing his inclusion because you want to see end product...go and watch the replay of Sudan and guinea bissau....you go belleful for end product even pack some put inside take away pack dey go house....but wetin end there match...na 0-0...
Go and watch replay of Algeria /Sierra Leone, u go watch end product taya till your eyes rise like Tinubu and oshiomole own...but wetin end the match...oga na 0-0...so give kudos to Moses Simon for his pumping effort of cross into the box, whether some connect well or not....no dey do like woman nyash there

Aina should have bought a pk with that counter attack he had in the 2nd half. We need to practice on these things. Have Counterattack drills with specific players because it seems we will use it a lot in the tournament.

We’re Smoothening Ground For Paseiro’s Arrival – Eguavoen
independent.ng

LAGOS – Coach Austin Eguavoen, the interim manager of the Super Eagles, has said that current technical crew of the national team are smoothening the ground for the arrival of Coach Vitor dos Santos Paseiro, the Portuguese who had been hired to tinker Nigeria.

The former defender of the team, who spoke during a press briefing in Garoua, noted that being the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director, collaboration with the incoming manager remained very vital, nothing that they had to make things smooth for Paseiro’s arrival.

Eguavoen said: “We are in touch. It’s not a problem. I am the Technical Director of the Federation.

“Collaboration is very good. We have to make everything smooth for him. We will work together,” Cerezo noted

Recall that just days after announcing Eguavoen as the interim coach of the Super Eagles saddled with the task of taking the team to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, the NFF announced the Portuguese as the successor to Coach Gernot Rohr when the latter agreed with the football body leave his position.

So many Nigerians criticized the move as going to put pressure on both the players and the interim manager given that the Portuguese is expected to be in Cameroon to watch the team play.

Did you watch the replay? There was no way he could have turned back and poke in the rebound because he was not in the position the keeper saved the ball.

If he stood in the same position alert when the ball rebounded, he would have got to it first. The time he was using to celebrate, he would have used it to finish the job then celebrate.

Baba we are playing 4-4-2, wingers are not meant to be cutting in with that formation as they are playing as midfielders.

We didn’t actually play 4-4-2 entirely. We played 4-1-2-3 in attack, 4-4-2 in defense.
