Op, I've been in your shoe b4. Don't mind the calls, messages and embarrassment again. Block as many of them as possible As money is entering your pocket, be clearing the debt bit by bit, starting with the one with highest daily increment. Don't borrow again from any cleared app to repay another app so that the vicious cycle can stop. I've been there b4, call me on 08038642174 |

Wait, if you’re this overwhelmed my debt, how then do you cater for your family? Loan is not a bad thing, but interest loan is. Move far away from interest loan! |

@OP, this is me you are talking about. I am wearing this same shoe at the moment. The only difference is that I don't live above my means, I don't club nor party. How I got here remains a mystery as I have good paying job and earn fair enough. It's so bad that feeding my family is by the grace of God. My salary finishes the same day I get credited. All I do is pay, collect again and pay. Thank God I have a loving and understanding wife. I have been broken and shattered but I was able to hold on. My wife is aware of it all and I already informed my Mum, siblings, and my wife's parent. I now have some peace at least while working out a way to clear it all hopefully this month end. |

Stop borrowing to pay others. Leave all the app. Ignore them. Pay gradually when you have it. You will only suffer embarrassment and humiliation for a while. You will later have the boldness to face it. If not, you won't come out it |

You don't have any choice, you have to come clean to her. She will be disappointed but you have to do it. She will also serve as your accountability partner for the payment. Now stop collecting loans to pay back loans.it is a rabbit hole that is not sustainable. Reach out to friend/family for loans without interest. Discuss terms and conditions of repayment very well (keep a ledger/record). You also need to cut your expenses to the minimum. And isolate yourself from the habit that brought you into debt. Treat active loans first. Or since they have started sending messages to your contacts, cut your losses. Start a installmental repayment plan. Dedicated about a portion of your income to be paying monthly. After payment, uninstall. Some have an active overdue charges that won't stop. Deal with them first too. Degunners: |

matrixme:I understand what you are saying. But they actually follow the rules. It is not them than checks your credit profile, but the CBN. I know all these because I have used 40% of the apps mentioned and some of them even blocked me until my previous loans were cleared- no one wants to their money to "borrow-borrow" person. Please kindly reconsider my views as I stand on the precipice of first hand usage. Thanks |

Degunners:Are you related to President Buhari? Cos both of your has the same habit of collecting loan. On a serious note... You have climbed the first step of quitting that habit by making it public. Secondly try and pay they off without applying for another loan, then delete all their apps, buy food stuffs in excess, avoid eating at restaurants, avoid beer parlours. |

[quote author=Degunners post=109293048]I just need someone to scold me badly, maybe it will help me get sense. Seriously I can't just believe at my age I still do the things I do. Right now I am in deep hole of debts from these loan apps. Can you imagine someone taking loans from more than 10 apps? Yes that someone is me. Presently if I should add up all the loans it will be close or more than 500k. The annoying thing is this is like 3yrs now I have been struggling with these apps. I once was able to clear all the loans but like a dog going back to it's vomit, I still went back to them (I seriously need delivarence). Why I'm so ashamed of myself is because I didn't take these loans mostly because I don't have a good source of income but because I don't know how to save and I am very extravagantly wasteful. I loving feeling rich, I can buy beer and flex anyone those I know and those I don't. Thought getting married will help but for where like I got worst after that. I seriously don't know how to come out of this mess I dragged myself into. Because these loan apps will only give you 7days loan with very high interest. I have been servicing these loans throughout last year and I don't want to continue this year. I have already spent more than 200k this month alone on interest alone because I have to borrow again to be able to pay others. I'm owing the following apps: 1. Fastmoney 70k 2. Imoney 50k 3. Gocash 38k 4. 40k 5. Palm credit 70k and counting this is long over due. 6. Kuda 50k 7. Next credit 21k 8. Mint loan 35k 9. 9jacash 12k 10. Add money 9k 11. Ncash 9k 12. Ducredit 70k 13. Ajeloan 15k 14. Easy Naira 12k. 15. Cashsea 26k I'm even scared to add the total but this my current reality. Virtually all are 7days loan. I don't know how a sane human being can get to this stage, I don't want to attribute anything to anyone or some village people. This is my owing making, and I have been living with this burden for long. I was hoping to get a job that will pay me like 500k at once but none for now. I dont even know what next to do. I have alot of other responsibilities to cater for. I don't even have friends or relatives I can run to. I am writing this because I deserve all the insults in the whole world. I deserve to the stoned. Though I will never take my life because of this, God forbid but I can't grow with these on my neck and it's really weighing me down. I can't remember when last I genuinely smiled or laughed. I'm determined to find a way to over come this problem. That's why I'm here. I know you guys will come for my head but I'm already in this shot so I will accept any insult. But please if someone can say something to help me a little I will appreciate. I'm not breathing fine but I'm currently harvesting what I planted. Wish I can get a counselor or therapist who can help me because I'm scared that even if I suffer and clear these I might not learn my lesson because it has happened before. What can I do please? [/quot -are the apps not aware of your commitments to other apps? ,- what manner of Banking System are we operating in Nigeria with the apps that you can just take loan facilities anyhow and the giver of the Loan Facilities will be chasing you to pay back the loan! -are there no limits for various groups- Individuals, Corporate or even Society? |

please take this advice. This is coming from someone who has been in your shoes. Even worse. And i am still alive and happy. The bible says "My people perish for lack of knowledge". If you don,t know your rights as a human being, people will use you any how. Before i proceed PLEASE NOTE: Many of these loan sharks are not Nigerian by Origin. Some are of Chinese origins taking advantage of Nigerians as a result of our deplorable economic situation. ( why tempt a monkey with bananas when you know that's his only food. ) And many more are not even registered with the appropriate financial authorities. That means the central bank of Nigeria ( CBN ) does not recognise them. Apart from a few credible ones though ( the likes of; CARBON, BRANCH etc. ) More so, the interest rates of these loan apps are just too unrealistic and evil considering the time duration to pay back. Do you think reputable financial institutions like your bank (i.e ekobank, zenith bank, Gtbak will issue out loans without proper documentations and collateral? They don't have to blackmail you to get their money back. They can get their money back when they want to. If we keep patronizing these loan sharks, we only encourage them in their unethical financial conducts which the CBN itself finds inappropriate. NOW MY ADVICE; PLEASE PAY ATTENTION. AND FOLLOW IN ORDER FROM 1 to 8 1. Stop any form of borrowing from any app with immediate effect. 2. Report your self to all your contact and your wife about your undisciplined borrowing act from these loan sharks 3. Remember they have nothing against you. NOTHING TO USE AGAINST YOU. Not any collateral, land, building documents, police arrests, NOTHING. 4. Remember that the ONLY thing they can use against you is the ability to blackmail you-(read number 2. for solution ) 5. Remember that blackmail and the invasion of privacy is a crime punishable by law in Nigeria. ( The laws of a country supersedes that of any organization or company operating within that country, irrespective of the terms and conditions of that organization.) So the Chinese companies must work in line with Nigerian laws if they are to operate in Nigeria. 6. Waite for these loan sharks to blackmail you. 7. For every loan shark that blackmails you, delete that app and NEVER PAY BACK. NEVER. Do the same for the other loan apps. 8. let your peace of mind return slowly, have a change of financial attitude, GO AND BORROW NO MORE AND LIVE YOUR LIFE. In one year time it will not matter and you will still be alive. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM OF YOUR BVN BEING COMPROMISED. THEY CAN DO NOTHING BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE CBN. If more people follow this advice, these loan sharks will pack up and leave us alone, thereby forcing us to be more creative or to turn to credible financial sources for loans which will force us to be compliant and responsible enough in order to be eligible for a loan or any other financial benefits. THANK YOU. PLEASE SHARE. |
