Hello olabisi The way you peeps just suddenly decide on Judicial review seems to amaze me.. So cos you had a closing balance of 20m, it means you will get a study permit Visa? Bro, it doesn't work that way.. .I work with applicants everyday , and I personally know of someone that had 50miilion naira closing balance and still got refused... Until when the applicant did the right thing in his re-application with a balance of 30million and got his Visa.. I have echoed it several times on this thread, it's one thing to have all the millions in the world,it's another thing to convince the Visa Officer that this funds will actually be commited and made available to you all through your stay in Canada, work on that in your next application and see your Visa waiting for you.. But if you wanna go for JR, it's your choice.. I am sure you have the millions to throw at it and also you will have the patience for the final outcome either positive or negative... Meanwhile order for your GCMS notes to know the true concern of the Visa Officer.. JR isn't rice and beans, just to mention.. Peace olabisi6438: |

Hello amila Staying back depends on you, If you wanna stay back after your one year study, you would have applied for an extension of your study permit with the LOA of another one year course of study, this will actually qualify you for more years of PGWP.... But if you love to come back to your beloved country Nigeria, after your 1 year study, you can wave Canada bye bye and take the next flight to the giant of Africa.. The choice is yours.. Peace amila20042001: |

amila20042001:One year program comes with one year post graduate work permit. One year is too small because some graduates look for a professional job for more than 6 months before they find one. Thanks |

Good evening everyone, please the experts, I need some insight, I am going for a graduate degree program which is for 3 semesters, do i have to pay in full for the 3 semesters for the sake of visa processing ? or can 1 just do part payment for 2 semesters then apply for a student visa? I am asking these because I want to manage the limited resources at hand. Thank you |

obilec:LANDING GIST! I just landed in Canada few hours ago via Ethopian airlines from Lagos Airport. I’ve immigrated via spousal sponsorship but I learned alot from this thread & I feel everyone can benefit from landing gist. I will be posting timeline information in the spousal sponsorship thread as it isn’t applicable here. I registered on arrive can, switch health, and printed all documents before arriving Lagos airport. The guy who pushed my trolley attempted to scam me 7500 for yellow card, amongst other scams, but I remembered narrations on nairaland so I didn’t fall for any. I didn’t spend any money during the journey, but you can give tips as the Spirit leads. After showing my passport, I passed my bags through the machine just near the Lagos airport door. I then went straight to Ethiopian airlines check-in counter admist the crazy queue. Those check-in staff are not smiling, be prepared with your documents make them nor delay you. My bags didn’t exceed the limit & I suggest you go at least 4-5 hours before the flight just incase. After about 4 more security checks, I boarded & arrived addis ababa some hours later where I was able to use the free airport wifi to update loved ones. Ethiopian airlines was ok, nothing bad to say. It was a long flight & having to seat for so long in such confined space does a number on the body. Arrived Toronto Pearson quite early in the morning & I think that plays a role in how relaxed the airport & staff were as I wasn’t subjected to much questioning. Having all documents on hand in paper really helps. Make sure you’re organized & calm, your documents may speak for you & questions were minimal to none in my case. Don’t be afraid to ask polite questions when looking for directions or clarity. Since I registered with switch health, I was directed to a shorter queue for arrival covid test which was the last stop before finally exiting the airport. I didn’t pay for the test & I wasn’t told anything about quarantine. I am fully vaccinated & wore my mask & sanitized at all times cos I don’t want a positive covid test result. It didn’t really snow much at the time I arrived, however it is cold here. |

Hi guys, I really need your advice. I entered the EE pool with over 490 points but since there has been no draws, I want to try the study route. I have received admission for a 1 year PG Certificate programme (in Business Intelligence Analytics, an area I am very much interested in) . I would like to know what to do to increase my chances of getting a study visa considering the fact that I already have a Master's in Finance. I would also be most grateful if you could refer me to previous posts with similar experience so I can see how they convinced the VO in their application in order to receive a visa. Thanks in advance. |

obilec:Congratulations and thank you for sharing! What documents did you need to tender at Ethiopian airlines before getting checked in and at Toronto to get your study permit? |

Its PPR oooooohhhhh... I have been waiting to post the above comment here since September 2020 when I started following this thread. I read many positive stories and the negative ones too but thank God I kept my faith alive and never got tired. I'm sharing this today to further encourage someone, anyone, never give up. After 2 rigorous application processes becos SP application be like project, 2 refusals, 1 Judicial review, 2 medicals, 3 admission deferrals and finally PPR!!! It's all to the glory of God oh, the God of NLP #NextLevelPrayers wey no dey fail. My God is good and kind to me indeed. Thanks to all the gurus in the house who selflessly give of themselves to provide timely and useful information to everyone on this platform. @frankrobbn1, thanks for never getting tired of answering so many questions, God bless you BIG. @justmellow, thanks a million and thanks to everyone that suggested that I should go for a JR when my second application was refused based on the comments on the gcms notes, you guys solidified my confidence. Thanks to @Myspace for sharing her JR journey/testimony here, it encouraged me in my waiting period through the journey cos I read her post over and over again, lol. I'll share my timeline in a separate post. It has ended in praise!!! It will end in praise for everyone in the waiting by God's grace, amen. |
