olabisi6438: Hello Ola, First, I'm sorry for your refusal. Is just a temporary delay. Now, you saw a generic statement and you feel you're unjustly evaluated? No. You need to order your note to get the real comment(s) of the VO. Again, Canada isn't about how much you have like UK, rather theirs is about how genuinely available the fund is to study? That you have 20million and 2 million was sent to you doesn't mean the money is available. Now I want you to answer this questions; 1). With your 20 million and 2 million that was sent to you, how much tuition deposit did you make? Now imagine this scene, 2 applicant going for 2 year study, applicant A has 12million in his account, but he was able to pay a full tuition for the year and is left with only 8million in account. Applicant B has 22million in his account but only paid Tuition deposit or a term Tuition. Within both of them, who do you think the VO will believe more to be a bonafide student, that the fund shown is for Studies and not demonstration purposes? So that brings me to ask, did you make any tuition fee payment? JR fee is around 2500 USD and above if am not mistaken. So if I'm you, I will order for my note, know what's the comments of the VO, and since you can easily make way with such huge amount for a Jr, why not convert the money to pay your full tuition if you haven't, then do GIC. This can go along way in telling the VO that the fund isn't for demonstration purpose but you genuinely mean to go and study. The last person here who did Jr, it lasted for a year before he got his PPR. So be ready to wait oo. And have it in mind that Jr doesn't mean approval at be end. . Hello guys, Please I'll like to know if I can use an affidavit of sponsor to apply for a study visa in Canada if I don't have the money for POF? Also, I saw it online that I don't need to leave the money in my account for 6months before applying. Please gurus in the house I'll appreciate your take on this. |

Good morning everyone, So I applied to study at seneca art and technology university in Canada, but I was told by the school to make a tution payment so as to secure my seat in the school. Although I already payed the application fee of approximately 100 CAD. But due to the limited resources at hand I don't think I would be able to pay the tuition fee in full. My questions are: Before applying for a student study visa, what are the documents that I need to get From the school to attach to my application required by the IRCC. Do I need my acceptance letter before application for the visa. And also does payment of tuition guarantee one's visa application. |

How will I know d amount am supposed to pay? The only fee you will pay in this regard is your courier fee which you will only know by going to DHL or the courier service of our choice. 2 Likes |

hayoBams:you have to pay a tuition deposit as directed by the school or you risk losing your seat. you will also need a letter of acceptance from the school to apply for the study visa and no, payment of tuition does not guarantee a visa. |

How do you mean to use an affidavit of a sponsor if you don't have POF? you can only use an affidavit of sponsorship if your application will be sponsored by another person and not you. Affidavit of sponsorship is not a POF Also, I saw online that I don't need to leave the money in my account for 6months before applying. If this is as regards Lump sum deposits, you don't need to leave it for 6 months. But with proper explanation and prove with documentation, you can even apply hours/days/weeks the money was sent to you or your sponsor |

Hello. I applied for visa for a 2year course in canada. I have paid my first term fees, i have left 3m in my account. I have also presented money market investment letter of 5m. My sponsor also presented investment letter of 60m. Is this good for POF |

Good morning, please the experts, I need some insight, I am going for a graduate degree program which is for 3 semesters, 2560cad was deposited as asked by the school out of 20kcad for the tuition. Do I have to pay in full for the 3 semesters for the sake of visa processing ? or use the receipt of the deposited 2650cad to apply for the visa? or do part payment for 2 semesters due to limited fund |

Good morning house. First time to comment here! I have been reading post and comments for a week now. You guys are the best! I need expert's opinion here: 1) I want to sponsor my wife for 2 years PGD at Norquest, Alberta. She has been giving full admission and we have paid for tuition deposit. She has a long gap in education and no work experience. We agreed to have kids and later she will continue with education which is now. She has OND in Accounting and the course at Norquest is Business Administration with majors in Accounting. What's our chances at PPR? 2) My younger brother in the US wants to support us with 10 million to add to what we have. I see from here that we need a gift deed to prove the fund source. How do we go about with that? |

The rate at which nairalanders discourage JR is unfair . Seems we are not concerned about incoming generations and those behind us. We need to end this our suffering and smiling way of life. Indians and other countries held them by the balls for many years via JR. Today, the new generation are enjoying it. Reduced flimsy excuses, increased approval rate, 2 weeks study permit timeline. Judicial review also expand your knowledge of immigration laws, discover abnormalities. You walk through it with your lawyer. Most of the reasons stated to refused Africans are unreasonable. Which judge mostly insult them before sending them for a re-determination. Truly, JR is not for the faint hearted, filled with uncertainty, anxiety, cost etc, But has so many advantages for the incoming applicants as far as Africa is concerned. If you have the money for JR, please go for it. Be the voice to your country , be the voice to the voiceless Africa. Most unreasonable reasons we celebrate, promote and made our own immigration law can't stand the test of JR. E-G Career progression Something like having Masters and going for ordinary diploma is Canada. Based on the Canadian immigration law, there's no place given to Visa Officer's to decide students career. Your career progression is left for the school to decide, if school decided to give you letter of acceptance, it's none of Visa Officer's business to comment on your progression or qualifications for the course. A federal court rule below on that. Secondly , I disagree with the Respondent’s argument that the decision is otherwise reasonable. Having reviewed the Applicant’s educational plan myself, it is clear that at no point does she ask for career counseling advice. Yet this Visa Officer apparently fancied the opportunity to assume the role of career counsellor and opine that the Applicant’s intended studies in Canada would not enhance her work for her brother. Such extraneous considerations make it obvious that the Visa Officer engaged in an unreasonable review of the evidence. This is straightforward and clear. The judge called that unsolicited career counseling Proof of fund Below is IRCC’s own study permit guidelines Students are required to demonstrate financial sufficiency for only the first year of studies, regardless of the duration of the course or program of studies in which they are enrolled. In other words, a single student entering a four-year degree program with an annual tuition fee of $15,000 must demonstrate funds of $15,000 to satisfy the requirements, and not the full $60,000 which would be required for four years. Officers should be satisfied however that the probability of funding for future years does exist (i.e., parents are employed); Proof of employment is enough to demonstrate next year tuition fee. Whereas, someone was refused here in September for not having funds for whole course. This person actually showed 150,000CAD balance in his father's account. Cost of whole course is less than 50,000CAD plus living expenses. Third party sponsor (uncle) , personal assets, establishment in home country Below is a Federal court of Canada rule on that. In my view, the Officer’s finding that the Applicant had insufficient funds to support his studies is not justified in light of the uncle’s signed declaration and evidence indicating his financial stability and willingness to support the Applicant, including his commitment to offer the Applicant employment once he completes his studies. [22] I also agree with the Applicant’s submission that the Officer’s reasoning that his uncle’s funds could be withdrawn at any time is speculative and that the Officer arrived at this conclusion without providing a rationale. This is a ground for setting aside the decision (Huot v Canada (Citizenship and Immigration) 2011 FC 180, at para 26). I also disagree with the Respondent’s argument that it was reasonable for the Officer to find that there is little incentive for the Applicant to return to Mauritius after his studies. As the Applicant’s counsel argued during the hearing, the Applicant has provided elaborate reasons about his intention and ability to study in Canada. The Applicant has also been transparent that he is not wealthy, but has taken steps to secure the financial assistance of his uncle. [28] As the Applicant’s counsel rightly noted, the Applicant is fortunate to have an uncle who is willing to fund his studies in Canada so that he may obtain credentials that are highly valued in Mauritius. It is uncontroversial that many students often rely on family members to help fund their post-secondary studies. Here, the Respondent attempts to assert otherwise, seemingly on the grounds that the Applicant comes from a less affluent background. This reasoning is absurd and perpetuates stereotypes about those who consistently face barriers to accessing higher education. The Applicant has clearly demonstrated that he has secured the funds to finance his studies. The fact that he comes from a lower-income background should not preclude him from seeking out and accessing educational opportunities. [29] I find that the Officer failed to take into account the totality of the evidence before them and came to an unreasonable conclusion.
