It took osimhen games to even get his first goal and to replace ighalo

You cannot say taiwo awoniyi is yet to become the player after just 1 start of quality minutes

Taiwo played and did well ,but you want sadiq umar to come in .

I don't need multiple games to ascertain a player's competence.
On Osimhen's AFCON debut even with the cameo appearance, a lot can be deduced from his style of play and the promise it held.

I believe in growth, but Taiwo is yet to become the player Osimhen is.

I was more impressed with Sadiq than i was with Taiwo.

What's the meaning of this?

Mujtahida:

Just give general framework and then let the players operate within it. Black man does not have the mental discipline to play strictly to instructions. When he plays like that, he sacrifices his natural love for flair and creativity.

Lol

You go worse pass Lagerback as coach if Sadiq impressed you more than Taiwo

Osimhen is not in AFCON, Taiwo does not need to be an Osimhen, Taiwo is Taiwo. Taiwo is who we have and Taiwo is who we will have for the duration of this tournament. Enjoy Taiwo, if you are looking for Osimhen, follow up with Napoli updates, na there he go dey.

bro na just 2019 o no be 1920 osigoal didn't do nothing in that afcon and it was like Rorh was even forced to give him game time and taiwo gave his best to putting a shift for us at Osimhen's absent and mind you they can never have same style or quality but both are unique in thier own ways wink

How Guinea didn't go one nil up from that sweet counter attacking move still shocks me. I felt Moriba should have gone for a top strike after Keita did well to cut in from the right and square it. Or he could have fed Bayo to his left.

Anyhow shaa, Moriba still did okay picking out the incoming Morgan (#10) but Morgan should have done much better with it.

And yes, Ejuke should watch that and learn. Like I already opined, I trust he will learn. Give it time my learned one. wink I know that missed big chance still dey pain you. grin

I swear e dey pain me but let's see how he plays going forward

Outside the Afcon Updates: Zuby vs Obinna

Azubuike Okechukwu starts (someone tell Idennaa grin ) for Yeni Malatyaspor vs Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig.

He was announced as a new signing, on loan, just 24 hours ago for Yeni from Istanbul BB. Recall he was attached to Sivasspor earlier in the season on loan from Istanbul BB.

For Goztepe, the ever present Obinna Nwobodo also starts.

Game kicks off in 37mins.

It's the battle of Two Naija Midfield lads.

Afcon Fun-recall: This Guinean Team and the Doumbouya threat. grin

The Guinean team has impressed so far and they have decent quality in their ranks.... BUT....

...I hope we all haven't forgotten that this Guinean team were threatened by their president, Mamady Doumbouya to win the Afcon title or pay back the money used to help them prepare.

“The cup, or you reimburse the money that's been invested in you,” the Guinean President told the players, as quoted by African Insider.

Ladies and Gentlemen, could this be the X-factor pushing the Guineans so hard that they held Tournament Favs, Senegal to a stalemate?

Omo... Watch out for the Syli Nationale (AKA National Elephants).
You all know Money can be a fine motivation. grin In their case, they won't wanna let go so easily of the Millions spent on them. Lol

Time will tell how far this "X-factor" will push them in this tournament.

Our first non-Cameroon multi-goal game.

Zimbabwe 1 - 1 Malawi

Two good crosses. 45 minutes to go.

In your eyes there was nothing special about his debut.
Osimhen's movements and runs, in and around the box is one of the reasons he is rated.

Sadiq's control of the ball and pass to Ejuke was it for me.
It was enough to ascertain what he will do when given a full debut.
I look forward to it.
