It is not for nothing that Aribo plays in the first team ahead of Nwakali. Only bias will make anyone pick Nwakali ahead of Aribo yet I know Nwakali has his own bit to contribute but he's clearly not at par with Aribo and you know what? The technical crew knows this!

This is not true.
If you rate Aribo, please continue, but do not speak for the technical crew.

Aribo and Nwakali are very different players whose roles are complementary, and both can be given a starting berth at the same time.

And i tell you that as far as the S.E is concerned we don't have a player like Nwakali.
He brings something that no other player can.

If seems you are talking about another Onyeka because the one I know can play CM.

Abi, is it not the same Onyeka that dominated against Mancity?

The narrative here is mind boggling, we are literally turning black to white and red to blue to in trying to justify what cannot be justified.

We have two proven and tested EPL players who play Midfield at a far higher Quality, skill and technical level as well as work rate and tempo than what you will find in the moi moi Segunda Division.

Yet they are on the bench for somebody to come and play long ball. That's arrant nonsense.

It seems the shenanigans that happen with our indeginous coaches seem to have come up once again.

I knew this one was gonna return and reply this way.

Forgiveness, the point is simple. Very simple. Eguavoen had a plan to keep control of the middle game with a big lead at 3-0. Control was priority before adding to the scoreline. But I need not repeat myself on this.

Besides, what took you so long? Ushering work Sunday? Or na you preach today? grin

Oya go rest you hear. I can see you had a very busy day at the pulpit. Take care man grin

That was not what you said. You said the midfielders were suppose to recycle the ball instead of passing through tight spaces when it was glaring Eguavoen instructed them to play that way in the first half.

Besides, I didn’t say anything about how we played in the second half so far.

My point is you were very wrong to blame the players for passing through tight spaces because that was actually Eguavoen’s game play.

I am always very busy these days.

But no try use dat one deviate. grin

It's so funny how Rangers fans approach any praise of Joe Aribo.

Once someone commends Aribo, they are on the tweet begging people to stop saying nice things of him. If you're a Rangers fan and you make a positive tweet about him, they ask you to delete so others don't see it. They are talking about how Nigeria should crash out early, so, nobody can notice him.

Probably the most vocal of club fans for any of our players. It's nice to see

He is their best player, many EPL clubs are looking into his matter this transfer window. They are also close to winning a second consecutive title. They know him leaving is inevitable, but they want him to stay until at least the end of the season when the title is in the bag and hope they can negotiate a new contract with him.

These are the rules though

Going by Rule 1, if Nigeria and Egypt are level on points, Nigeria edges them by virtue of their win against Egypt.

If Nigeria and Egypt had escaped with one point each, that is when Goal difference would have come into play.

Cc @sophtcopy

Ok ...thanks

Your first question is a no, we not confirmed as table toppers now because if super eagles loose by a goal margin we will be on +2, while Egypt winning by 3 goal margin they will top us and be on +3
Ok ...thanks

The Algerian coach seems to be playing favorites... Benrahma not starting for the second game in a row, Ounas not even on the bench.

Algeria have really regressed. They are not commanding games anymore like they used to. It started with the WCQ when Burkina exposed them twice. We thought they would keep their form into the world cup and do Africa proud, especially after they won the Arab cup. Seems we would have to turn our hopes elsewhere, maybe to Nigeria if we can keep Eguavoen going into the world cup.

By the way, I wonder why NFF haven't canceled the sham deal they had with Peseiro already. That guy's 5-4-1 formation killed Venezuela. Very poor coach, another ultra-defensive coach not much different to Rohr.

Head-to-head is considered stronger than goal difference in this tournament.

Quick question pls,
Has Nigeria topped the group to qualified for the quater final with 6 points in hand? Even if Nigeria lose to E. Guinea(not possible tho) and Egypt beat Sudan with a wide goal margin

Simply put, is the head to head rule still applicable in AFCON?

Yes, head-to-head is applicable in this AFCON.

Not really that impressive if we break it further down:

*An attacking midfielder made 29 back passes into own half and 14 into opposition half. *I expect this posting from a DM.
* Only 2 dribbles from an AM on for 65 minutes.
* Long ball abilities is zero , of course.
*Lost possession of ball 7 times...very poor and contributed to weak midfield.

Anyways , I will give him credit for 8 ground duel won, 94% passing rate and 9 recoveries made. However , I am not impressed.
Baba you for kuku talk make the boy kill himself
