Lifting would only take effect from tomorrow, Saturday, 29th January, 2022

The new rules for flight arrivals from these African nations to the UAE will come into effect at 2.30pm on Saturday, January 29.


Travellers will not be allowed to fly into the UAE from any of these countries any earlier than this time on Saturday, and so should not book flights that are scheduled to land prior.

The news was announced by the UAE government. You can check the NCEMA UAE twitter handle. Emirates airline haven't commenced their flight schedule from here, but the flight restrictions have been lifted by the UAE government. If you check the rules for travelling to Dubai page on Emirates website, they have updated it to reflect the COVID testing requirements for Nigeria (and other countries) starting from 29th Jan, which implies that passengers from here can enter the country.

A lady colleague processed same. About 4 years ago . When she got there, Nah that time she knew the 250k she paid to the naija agent nah format. The woman she was working with already paid all fees , Flight and visa processing fees for here. And even paid both agents (The recruiting agent in oman and that of Nigeria ). So, When she got to know she was shocked to see how fellow Nigeria agents use us and sell us off in the name of working abroad. At a point she got tire with the job , nah that time the boss told her she will have to pay her back a million naira she paid on her behalf . My friend stay jeje and finished her 2 years contract straight up o .
