Depends on your plan, farm location, availability of inputs and tenacity.
This year for example, we spent less than #150,000 to cultivate close to 3acres here in Ogun State. We are currently harvesting and hopeful to net not less than 150% ROI considering the harvested yield although, prices are currently low.

our new motto is quality management yields more, we are still on the mission to get #500k from one plot and we already have a plot of 2 weeks old crops, by looking at the current price of cucumbers now(#6000),I have no doubt we will reach that target by the time it will come out a bag will surely be hovering above #7k or more,and it will be an interesting dry season this time around because we have cleared 1 hectare for cucumbers and my partner Mr diekololo from fountain drip, abeokuta will start installation of the irrigation system next week.

we use fresh poultry litter from battery cages,put it in the vat put water to get a thick slurry and let it stew for 3 days minimum, then apply to the stems it will not burn the crop,but if the drops touch's the leafs it will scorch only that area it touch's the leafs,just like chemical fertilizer,it is better. chemical ferts has only 3 ingredients (NPK).but organic manure has that and all the essential micro/macro nutrients needed for plant growth.

definitely yes,the one hectare farm is a no retreat,no surrender project,it will test the capacity of our endurance to the elastic limits,but we have prepared yourselves both mentally and physically to accept the challenge,money must be made from the bush this dry season,no option.

using our improvised hole puncher to make holes at 60 cm,also manure application bin progress,the cucumbers will be transplanted in the evening by the side of hole

bros good morning, is it necessary to make nursery on cucumber farming, or can one plant it straight to the soil...

if your site is not infected by rats plant directly on soil,but to be on the safe side,cover the planted spot with one leaf with little soil to hold it down,it will serve two purpose,to protect from rats and to save the seed from been covered with excess soil during heavy rainfall,remove in 3 days

in my area in imo state there is a woman that comes with a Ford Transit van every Eke market day(every 4 days)and buys cucumbers from farmers at the current market price from onitsha,she buys up to 100 bags and pays cash on the spot,so farmers will harvest and bag their cucumbers and the woman will come to their farm for pickup,she also buys maize, melon, pepper,etc, selling is not the problem,farming it to maturity is the problem.

I am having problems uploading the pics ,we will plant tomorrow and hopefully we will have some pics,we are on a budget of 40.000 naira to manage 1500 crops for 45 days.we have spent so far #8000 seed,#1000 manure nearby poultry farm,#3500 bag of rope for staking,2 Haifa npk#3800,2 saaf fungicide#2000,10 satchets ridomilgold#3800 and 3 imiforce #3000.this is the material to see the project through.note we will not use inorganic fertilizer because anytime we use it losses of 5-10 percent occurs,a nearby poultry farm flushes it wastes away so we go organic with weekly sprays of Haifa bonus foilar fertilizer for micro nutrients the remains balance will be reserved for fuel for pumping water,but so far eedc is giving us light.can we work with this budget even to me it looks impossible but my late father use to tell me nothing venture nothing hard!
