you dont understand. If ngozi okonjo wins president or akinwumi adesina or sanusi and some of our debts are written off, electricity is boosted, jobs are created, our universities are upgraded and most importantly fuel price is reduced. Why would anyone want to leave? Is when you are preping the same old dead woods to take over the country after buhari. Then people cannot continue to stay.

You don’t understand, countries like America are great because the people really believed it when John F. Kennedy said “think what you can do for your country not what your country can do for you”. It is not governments but individuals that built America , till tomorrow.

Stop focusing on the problem, become the solution. At least , after you have fed yourself and your family. Life is more than about food.

Yes.

But you are seeing the cup as half empty.

Some people like me are taking advantage of the naira falling to boost our foreign exchange earnings, savings and investments.

Through out history, Many wealthy made their wealth in times of war and crisis, even during pandemics, like Spanish flu or COVID…

Every challenge or problem is an opportunity in disguise.

I did not forget. As I said before; you are focused on the problem.

I focus on solutions to and opportunities in the problems , e.g I adjust pricing for inflation where possible , but most importantly and as much as possible I/We always buy in bulk for both Home and Business supplies, which also gives me room to negotiate cheaper prices. It saves not only direct costs but even indirect costs in the time, effort and money expended from frequently shopping for supplies, piece-meal.

I fully understand the despair and all the challenges at home which is largely responsible for this ugly situation.

But why going through so much just to cross to another country, they will gather a lot of money, movement from one African country to another before embarking on the dangerous journey of uncertainty.

They will finally end up sleeping on the streets of European countries after getting there, some of them hawk and sweep to make ends meet, but back at home they won't do those things because of pride.

Why going to another country to become a third class citizen?

There's this wrong notion that as a graduate you must work inside one fine office with suit and tie, live a lavish lifestyle and try to impress men and women.
Nollywood movies and Nigerian politicians encourage this a lot.

We worship people that return from abroad, even if they do dirty jobs like drugs, all our people want to see when you return is beautiful car and house and they will worship you automatically.

Are Nigerians outside even enjoying? Because some bad ones have soiled our reputation badly, we don't have good image anywhere in the world, even within Africa, nobody trusts a Nigerian anymore, so why going through so much just to become an object of ridicule out there? They end up doing those menial jobs they won't do at home.

We look down on people that make legitimate ends meet in Nigeria through menial jobs but worship and glorify Yahoo boys and corrupt politicians! Something is indeed wrong with us.

No society can make headways with this kind of mindset and mentality our people have.

Just try and stay in a sane clime for just one year and you won't post this.

Someone asked a question on Facebook “choose between 20million and Canada
I chose 20million
Then a man attacked me
Why would I go to Canada? Where I don’t have family I can stay with, where I don’t have enough money to sustain me for 3months at least
The man said Nigeria top the most insecure country and I replied that Nigeria is one of the most poverty stricken country and I’m doing well for myself
I can’t just pick up and leave with no assurance
Even with being a registered nurse, there must be a job for me already

Between ₦100 000 or Canada, I go choose ₦100 000, comrade. We gats finish trans-generational unfinished business.
But shout-out to those in diaspora though. Keep laying down good foundations. No offense meant.

Read about UK taxable income...

grin

What exactly is your point ? That I am lying or what ? well you asked me to read the income tax rates for the UK and I just did - and I pasted it below - in fact I am almost right on the spot because it’s 20% taxes for the £9 income bracket so £72 earnings attracts £14.4 taxes which makes the take home pay £57.6 so because I was wrong by .6 which is not up to £1 you are blabbing ? grin

now let's do some arithmetic and relate it to your response - 8 hours per work day x 20 work day a month = 160 hours per month

160 x 12 months = 1,920 hours a year

1,920 hours a year x £9 rate for your cleaner work = £17,280

Tax rate for this income bracket = 20%

160 x 9 = £1,440 and pays a tax of £288 and takes home £1,152 please tell your audience this reality of high taxes and the living standards of the UK and purchasing power of the pounds sterling in the UK as compared to that standard of living - stop deceiving people! grin

My experience trying to interact with a mind player at a one distance who wants you to take epiphany mind conjurings, when you try it out, it leads to chaos, other people feed off it and leave a negative after effect, so I'll really be a fool to think that taking action after a mind epiphany session with someone on my supposed intentions not being able to perceive their thoughts would end in a disaster,I have tried it, it doesn't work with these black people here, it looks they were all deceived before so they hope to renact it, what would forever work is the financial freedom to pay bills, travel anywhere you want to go, seek visa, familiarise yourself with people by being friendly when you buy them.things like going to a club or bar and buying people drinks, anyone trying to be your prodigy who is not offering directly a legitimate business opportunity is wasting their time, even my assertion that you should empower platforms is not working, we are simply embolding them to have that supreme status and thru wont seek to empower one. I think the enemy has shown clearly that they are not ready to play by the rules.

And they still want you to use the limited resources you have to get a call girl, not going to work , and yet left money is still going around and yet I'm not accessing it, don't want to access it, the mind games you play to access it, it's not funny all,it's better you ignore it completely. I mean even when you buy stuff abd pay legitimateoney, they carry out spiritual attacks, I mean I literally have to shout before any trade transaction that terms and conditions apply complying with trade laws. They use neocromancy to project some weird invisible attack on one's mouth just for buying things, or supposed mind communication sessions which you cannot even track, you even hear epiphanies that they are in spirit mode in your room and you need to manifest them into reality with your mind. You cannot trust these people. I'll stick with verbal talk and consensual business arrangements, as for showing emotion to women, not possible untill I have good money to be in a better apartment and have a couple of good peeps around and then I could arrange for consensual sex, in the meantime I'm hopeful an opportunity comes by. The mind game is to make you frustrated to play and become subservient, but trust me I won't, how can you engage in a trade system with nopast references or timeline, I'm not a fool.
How can one creatively conjure epiphanies on doing good for the world when you are faced with serious economic financial challenges and you have everyone seeking attention and they are still creating fake I have got you, to create the false illusion thst they are my protegee. Its all lies, you white people are being deceived. The sooner you shut these people down, all of them the better, I explained how the guessing game works. How can over 10 people in an hour try to superimpose their thoughts to my subconscious and ignore using digital footprints on social media, the goal is to make me frustrated so I attempt sone desperate subservience. We cannot simply allow these people to continue doing this. so many delusions of grandeur,I have never been in a relationship before for over 30 years, any assertion thst I have is false, they call forced spiritism wife or girlfriend attachment which is a spiritual crime, if someone is in another dimension is having sex or having an image of you which would prevent you from having a real relationship in real life, that's why there's a command for one not to make any false image of a god or God and is it not said we are God's, in those days they used to destroy souls of those involved in such crimes. Notice that diseases worldwide increased and divorce and so many nasty stuff started happening because the wickedness and deception of higher realms or ufos.

We have to seggragate people who are normal from those who are abnormal, a typical Nigerian is not ready to hear that you are free and not a slave like them so there is this pull down syndrome

Quite obvious thst Christians don't want to contribute to this because it's associated with Islam and northerners don't want to contribute to it because they are guilty of halaal non conformity

Bros, that is not how tax works. An earning of 17,280 means he will pay taxes on 17,280 - 12,570 = 4,710 only.

Tax system in the west are graduated meaning the first money on the tax band is tax free 0%. This means 12,570 of his money is tax free. The balance of his earnings is taxed with the next tax bracket. So in the end, he pays 20% of 4,710 which is around 940 a year and 78 per month.

Even though his employer may likely deduct 288 per month from his paycheck, he will get the balance back at the end of the year from the government as tax return after filling his taxes. In summary that guy will end up paying 78 pounds per month.
What I described to you is how it works in Canada but I'm sure that is the system in the UK as all these western countries operate in the same way.

sorry not entirely true - I live in the USA and I don’t know much about Canada - I am in the $75,000 to $100,000 tax bracket and I pay 20% as taxes - extra 11% on to Social Security and Medicaid - how I get around that is to put in 10% of my earnings into my 401k to reduce my taxable income - even at that whatsoever one gets at the end of the year as refunds is never a straight math - it depends on so many factors, like EIC tax credit, charitable donations, tax write offs, student loans delinquency, garnishments, and all that - I have never lived in the UK but I have folks there who tell me the British tax system is draconian to the extent they pay tax on antenna tv, not cable but antenna tv - the bottom line here is that taxes reduces whatever is earned in the west significantly and it’s never what the rate on paper looks like that you take home - i will leave it there thanks!

The bolded text is too generalistic. This statement simple implies all Nigerians look down on menial jobs which is totally false. You concluded by saying that Nigerians worship yahoo boys and corrupt politicians. That is another lie from the pit of hell. In one of your paragraphs, you said Nollywood contributed to the lavish lifestyle of some selected Nigerians, this is not true. There is no empirical evidence to prove this for now, it is mere speculation borne by perceived perception of certain behavioural traits. There are verifiable studies as to why most Nigerians travel out of the country. One was conducted by a researcher who was interviewed by channels TV. In his report, he gave a detailed reasons there is high migration.
