Anonymoususher: this is the number one problem with Nigerians. you put all the responsibility on a deity when you choose to do nothing about your situation. Even all the prophets called God and still fought and spoke out but here we want someone in the sky to say abracadabra and house rent will become one naira. WE ARE THE PROBLEM. sorry. I am talking about EVERY NIGERIAN and not just you. God will not do anything about it if we that are here feeling the heat refuse to speak up and force our representatives in the house and senate to speak and address such matters but we have time to debate on BBN and spend billions on BBN votes. God will do NOTHING about it. God has more important things to do in countries with natural disaster and war. 16 Likes |

Yahoo boys ruined everything most of them only move in an apartment after they cashout, and after the first year they can't renew the rent again then they will gather all their friends to live with them so they can split the rent imagine 5boys in a 2bedroom apartment and the rent is 250-300k. Same Yahoo boys are making unclean prostitute to feel like they are made of gold, imagine a prostitute demanding N25,000 for the same toilet every other person has used and will still use after you. What exactly are these boys paying for? Anyways na them sabi 21 Likes 1 Share |

Justice4Toto: Elders say the seriousness of the boy shows you the kind of man he would become. I started living alone at 21, my first apartment there was nothing in it but a bed. A man of 21 Choosing to live alone is very much welcome idea. There is nothing good that can’t be corrupted. You are just making excuses; guys do all these things even in their parent’s house. This is how you see men of over 30 still in their comfort zone, eating their mummy’s food 22 Likes |

It's because of inflation. This government has diligently supervised the devaluation of the Naira. If you did not subsidise the building of my house, you have no moral rights to dictate my prices. Whether sale or rental. Imagine how this government has increased prices of everything you get from it since 2015. Badboibipo: 2 Likes |
Re: Please What Is Happening With Nigeria And Rent Issues? by Poopypants: 8:26am On Feb 07, 2022 |
Perfectman91:no they are not. the reason for the increase is cos nothing is regulated in nigeria , prices are determined by landlords , if one landlord in an area jacks up price and it works for him, every other landlord would want to do same, and no regulation body is there to stop or control the landlords. 14 Likes |

ProfAmaben: They don't consider the side of the landlords. They talk as if they are not in Nigeria. Where dollar is now trading for N570. As of 2016, I could remember cement was sold for N1300, clay filling sand for N18k. Now, cement is N4300, and clay filling sand for N40k. 8 Likes |

I wish state governments can enact laws to stop all these |

It's because everyone now wants to live in Lagos and Abuja. Some fools work remotely but they still live in mega cities paying huge rents when they have all the opportunities to relocate to smaller cities or live in their own towns. If not that common sense signed a memorandum of understanding with me, I will still be in Abuja now wasting money on rent. 7 Likes |
