Attached is a message I got from Facebook. And that's all Lai Muhammad has achieved in reality.
All they've done is that Nigerian government has imposed a 7.5% tax on Nigerian advertisers on Facebook. I calculated and I've paid about N2,500 in tax already since last month. That's all the regulation noise is about. Nothing more.

Lai Mohammed should shut up. The protesters have been left alone to protest for days, if not weeks, without interruption, but they've started taking things too far by disrupting normal Canadians going about their business, interruption of the supply chain of goods and services within Canada and also across the border.

It is also pertinent to note that these protesters are not the majority of truck drivers who didn't join the protests.

Also they have started getting funding from far right groups in the US, making it all the more to look political and not a genuine protest.

Not like Nigerian protest that within that same day police or soldiers would start shooting at you for nothing.
The endsars protest went on for over 2 weeks before the government came in. Stop saying trash.

Lie Mohammed, for the first time, I salute you for pointing out double standards of Canada, US, EU, Twitter, e.t.c. The white pigs are all useless modsfuckers.

Please don't misunderstand me Mr Lie, thunder is still coming to strike you and your generations yet unborn and you will rot in Hell Fire for lying more than the Devil himself. The Devil will punish you severely for trying to outlie him.

Very easy.
Your Visa card or Mastercard has the code of the issuing bank. So, Facebook knows you're a Nigerian advertiser. And as long as you pay with a Nigerian card, 7.5% of any amount spent, automatically goes back to the Nigerian government.

The way to evade the tax is open a different Facebook account and run the ads with a foreign card and foreign business name.

Bros, every circumstances you described here was exactly what happened during the endsars protest. Protesters blocked roads and disallowed free flow of movement and traffic.
I still remember how protesters blocked me on my way to the office and asked me to turn around and go back home. A group of vicious young men. Fierce looking. I started begging them before they let my car through.
Also, let it be on record that Orile police station went up in flames and many officers killed before army stormed lekki toll gate same night to attack protester. Also, they protest had already lasted 2 weeks before it turned violent. The Canadian govt wouldn't tolerate a quarter of the excesses of the end sars protest before bringing in the army.

How are you able to respond so fast, though?

Eriokanmi:
Where was your head before sir?

But so far, I've not heard that military was deployed to the protesting truckers to kill them. All we saw were the police maintaining peace, unlike here where police were seen killing peaceful protesters before huloodlums hijacked it and started burning stations and killing police in reprisals.

Again, were police not brutal on the Nigerian youths, most of whom are doing legitimate businesses? The answer is yes. You can't compare those protesting over covid-19 with those protesting over the killing of their innocent loved ones by the corrupt police here.

Again, same twitter had banned some users who had spoken or twitted disrespectfully about buhari and his government before, check it. Buhari who's an individual account holder isn't above the law of twitter. You can't compare the 2 scenarios please Lai.

The insurrection in DC was a pure act of terror. Nobody had invaded the national assembly here before in that manner. Such an act wouldn't have be taken lightly by Nigerians as well.
God bless you

Whoever thinks Laid Mohammed made any sense here should have his head checked.

People protesting against vaccines mandate can be branded as terrorists. Vaccination is scientifically proven to be the best way to tackle a diseases that's gone pandemic. Trying to use pseudoscience and freedom of choice as a tool to cause crisis, every government can rightly brand such people as terrorists. The Canadian government has a point here here although just like every government, they might get overbearing in the exercise of their power. Those protesting also have a point but the government can not be easily armed twist to change a law that has to do with the healthcare of the citizens.

On the other hand, government did not have any defense against the endsars and the government responded by causing deliberately paying people to cause chaos which almost got out of hand
Wow like seriously. Terrorist wow

There were at least 3 days of wanton violence by the mob until a curfew was eventually imposed to disperse the crowd.

The Nigerian protesters protested against the killing of our citizens by the bad elements in our arm forces, most especially the SARS. These two tragic incidences are different too. In the Nigeria case the citizens cried to the government for over four years or so before they finally embarked on the protest and it was a peaceful protest until the government sponsored urchins started causing mayhem. We will need more details before we could be a judge on this matter.

Note, I am not absolving the Canadian government of blame, all I am saying is that Canadian government is better than ours.

Fool, have you heard that soldiers went and kill protester
Re: Lai Mohammed Berates Canadian Government, Twitter Over Handling Of Protests by ajl: 2:22pm On Feb 13, 2022
Has Canadian govt been using their own thugs to attack the protesters or have they resorted to using their military to gun down the protesters? Don't be fooled because the context is clearly different. Everything was okay with the EndSars protest until the protesters were gunned down by the military, aside from the widespread use of thugs to attack them.

How many people would have died if this same protest was done in Nigeria in the last 3 weeks. There lies the difference.

Do you know what it means to use heavy trucks to block roads and prevent movement of goods and service between Canada and the US? The money lost everyday? Yet the government has shown restraint for 3 weeks now. No soldiers on the street, no police shooting, no tear gas and everyone has been trying to get a peaceful resolution.

How many countries will tolerate that?
I live in Canada so I am seeing the protest in real time and not through the media. I am not a supporter of Trudeau or those liberal nonsense.
However, Lie Mohammed should learn something from this. You give people chance to protest, give them time and not send soldiers and AK47 wielding policemen to stop a protest like Lie Mohammed will do. Nobody has died or injured in Canada as a result of this protest 3 weeks after, that should at least teach Lie how developed society work instead of trying to justify nonsense

The curfew was announced because of Lekki toll gate blockage.

Western governments do not hate protests. There are different types of protest in different nations of Europe and Americas everyday. Even in France, there is no single year without any violent protest, but you will not hear of anyone being shot or killed.

Nigeria is a jungle country, and gradually we its citizens are relapsing into the monkey status the White people are calling us with our degrading stupidity.
Dont mind them

Go online and see how the french police are brutalising protesters.
Don't shift the goal post. Lai never cited any example of french police brutalising people and my post was drawn based on his gibberish submission which he put together, trying to acore a cheap point. FYI, I've been to France severally and haven't heard any case of police harassment. I've never been harassed on the streets of Paris myself by any police.

It's laughable the way you guys think at times. I only pray that some of you thinking this way make a headway so you'd know the difference between riches and poverty. I wish dangote , otedola etc grew up during police brutality era. Dangote first squatted with his uncle maitama at my aunt's house at ijesha in lagos as a young boy who just came from Kano back in the days for business opportunities in lagos. My aunt always tells this story each time we visit her. She's a very old lady now. Dangote at that time was a comfortable young man who was driving classy cars but very humble. He was never harassed .

My humble self had always been lucky with jobs in my life, when I say jobs, I mean lucrative jobs. There was a time I bought an SUV and drove around awolowo way in Ikeja, this officer stopped me, started harassing me. He said I was too young to own that vehicle. After a while, I pulled over and threatened that I'd call my lawyer when he refused to let me go despite providing more than enough proofs of ownership. Eventually, his colleagues waded in and allowed me go.

My cousin who was still an undergraduate in Ibadan back in the days used to work for Google as a consultant, part time He was in charge of campus GIS mapping across the country. This guy was paid handsomely. He was very intelligent and on shell scholarship, a young boy who had not much to do with money, bought a lexus car, though fairly used but very clean. He was always driving to school each time. He had no girlfriend sef. Police had harassed him on a couple of occasion. They've out him in detention for no just cause. They tagged him all manners of name. Henjad to sell that car for a jalopy before began to enjoy peace. His friend who was a petroleum engineer got hired by a leading pilot and gas. They were actually 3 in number. The 3rd one travelled for his msc later. This guy loved cars. They were well brought up so, you'd never see them clubbing. Police had collected money from this guy by way of extortion severally, threatening to even take his life despite presenting an oil amd gas ID. These are the experiences of those close to me. There are many of them out there like them, who jad been harassed that way. There's no problem when a police does his or her job the way it should, to rid our society of crime but they often leave their job for extortion, seeing these guys ride good cars. I remember the arory of an American returnee who was asked to transfer money into their account by police or they'd kill him. He wired 120k instantly and nothing happened after reporting the case to the CID at panti in yaba as he was advised to...you see?

Please read the below. Its a story posted by a young boy, a nairalander. The post is less than one hour only on NL. If he buys a jeep now, police would call him names and begin harassing him.

Happy reading.
