How did you feel when you found out
Devastated, worried and I lost weight in just 4 days because I was thinking. Nearly ended my life because I didn’t understand how that happened. I only had sex three times in my life at that time. Once in SS1 with condom and twice the pervious year(first year in school). I felt so stupid, like how can I be positive, how will my life transcend from there and I came from a poor family, the shame it will bring to my family and stuffs. It was a painful experience. I was planning to travel to onitcha from my school in two weeks before I decided to attend that confession in that Catholic parish because I needed someone to talk to, I knew the priest is the only person that can listen because they sit on the other side and just listen to peoples voice and not see who is speaking so it was a nice idea for me to go speak to him. His initial approach saved me. When I said I was positive, the said and so what? Is that all? Wait after confession. It’s nothing to worry about and that’s it. I think that point changed certain things about the way I was thinking about it

This is a myth. Hiv cannot be transmitted through surface cuts.

And besides the virus cannot survive for long outside the human body.

Just curious, I thought someone who's positive would be denied entry to US after your medicals shows you're positive.

They can't do that. That's discrimination.

HIV is not a death sentence. But it's wisdom not to catch at all.

What are you saying ?

why will I lie about being hiv positive? People steal from other through these pill, it is entirely free in government hospitals in Nigeria. In United States it’s free if you make less than 60k a year and there are organisations that offer those. If you make more, you either will pay through you work insurance or pay part of it and get sponsorships from Other drug agencies. Why I go lie say I be hiv positive please? Just call government agencies in charge of HIV in Nigeria and ask them how much is a hiv pill and get your answers. That’s why research is important

I'm insisting that it isn't free whether you make 60k, less or more.

I provided documentary evidence.

Provide proof if you want people to believe.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist. It's a big pharmaceutical business.

your documentary is trash, people do things from stories they heard, I’ve said this from my personal experience till date. There are millions in Nigeria and US who are positive and the drugs are free. Go to a general hospital in Nigeria, use google search. You don’t even need to do so much to find where to go register and get your pill.

People don't seem to realize the number of possible besides sex that cause HIV.

Before the 90s and even till late 90s, hospitals share syringes for patients. It was 90s, they started boiling them before re use.

But how is one sure, the nurse probably boiled the syringe.

Also barbing saloons that used same clipper for many people without properly cleaning.
But this dude has had raw sex .he wrote it himself m he didn't test any of his ladies

Everything is business. Some big, some small. Money makes the world go around.
Especially in a capitalist system, people will exploit any opportunity to make money.
Some of these opportunities are questionable.

I'm not exactly sure where we disagree on this issue.

thanks for that, this isn’t a very good advice for people living with HIV, faith without works is fruitless. The advice is to stay on medication while praying. I’ve seen pastors tell int people to abandon their pills and they end up suffering it.Not saying you want me to but I assure you, people are reading and will think it’s something that will just disappear, it will not!!!!!!! People should be on their pills just like every other ailment and continue to pay for good health(HIV has never affected my health at all)
I'm proud of you bro, you're doing well

Even at that they're still the highest reservoirs of STI, what of broken condoms and those who allow raw for a higher amount undecided

I honestly don’t know, as at the time I got tested, I’ve only had sex thrice, once SS1 and then twice in Year 1 in school. I have tracked those girls I’ve had stuff with in the past just to see if one is loosing weight or something but they are all married and with kids. Till date, I can’t think of where and how. Also the only time I had sex without condom was the times in the university.

If I say you don't have anything like hiv in your system people will call me names. Go and do your research well, none of those girls takes drug or is positive. You may actually had some underlying aliments which made your immune system to be working all the time, hence the positive result you got. Professor Duesberg, Kerry Mullings etc have done so much works on this HIV hoax.

@Megabig I used to think these top tier (US, UK, Australia, Canada & NZ) countries deny people with serious health compromising issues visa
Surprised you got to USA
Especially since they deny a ton of people’s visa applications daily in Lagos
Well 2008 is totally different from today.
Getting it in level 200, that’s crazy young. Congrats to getting out of that depression well.
A ton of people won’t be able to handle it.
HIV was removed. For USA and some western countries. But some Arabic countries will deny you.
It's called medical inadmissibility.
Hepatitis might get you denied though.
Same as TB

The secret no be here, I was keeping secret when I needed help, hiding my drugs was the most painful and hardest. I had to loosen our tv at some point to hide it, I tore under my dad’s car seat to hide some too, all I did was to stuff inside with paper to ensure it doesn’t jiggle when the car is moving and my dad is a transporter. So you can imagine my dad carry my pills around the city without knowing.I stopped hiding in the ceiling when I saw snake one time I climb to take it. Tore under the chair in the sitting room to hide too, we can all be watching tv but my pill is under where my mum is sitting. It wasn’t funny honestly…
Lol, u tried oo. I'm happy for you but why do you want to tell them?

Any body with half a brain and education would not stigmatize people with HIV, it's basically like malaria now and positive people are basically undistinguishable from negative people

stand a chance of not contacting Hiv if exposed to unprotected sex with someone living with the virus with a high viral load?
