Why wouldn't you have learnt C#/.Net, please I would like to know because I am planning to learn C#/.Net too
I do mainly Javascript and its variations/frameworks

Freelance. Pay was paltry and inconsistent at first, but after a 2 years or so, I have many steady, well paying clients and now have time for almost nothing else. I usually expect $4000~$5000 monthly. Some months lower/higher than others. Most of my work is strongly numerical and there's quite a bit of data science. Occasionally some web development. I should have started from learning SQL, Excel Power BI, instead of trying to build dashboards Using python-django. I saw some guy comment about the opportunities in Google stack, but in the UK where I target, there are more opportunities with Microsoft stack.

I was around his age when I started learning coding. If you get enough Data to download videos I can share some MIT materials that he should can also use. We are talking really huge files o. 6GB, 8GB.

I find myself working most of the time. In this business there are no weekends/holidays. Working hours would be about 6~8 hours on average.

I feel as a Remote employee, weekends should be observed.

Skip: You can learn from being an intermediate in 3 months.
If you're an absolute beginner, 6 months or more will do.



Well, my first remote gig was 1/4 of a mil /month naira equivalent. It was a short 2 and half month process.



I would never have learnt C# or .Net. I would stick to JavaScript and all the shades of it.
Then, I'll adopt Google Dev Ecosystem rather than Microsoft.

Started my job search this month. (February)

Been getting so many rejections and "unfortunately' mails.
Not sure why..

Had to build a portfolio website for myself and
Solicited to build a 1 page responsive site for random people for free just to add to my portfolio.

A Devop friend told me I don't need to know all the codes. I only need to know enough to get me the job..

Previously I restricted my search to Manchester (I'll be relocating soon).
Now I will have to spread my tentacles even beyond Europe.

I will also create a LinkedIn profile or learn how to use the premium version.

I hope someone Learns from my steps.
I am open to more tips and recommendation.

As early as 200l when I was schooling. Do two things, pick a language(JavaScript, Python, Java) and learn a framework on it (Node.js, Django and Spring), then master Data Structures and algorithms alongside building projects, and you have the arsenal you need.

Self taught and do projects ,projects done are displayed on my page and GitHub profile then I apply for jobs.

I don't think anyone can survive in IT without the will to learn by themselves.
