You are very funny sir. Churches are not charity houses, they don't provide financial succour to members. I am not the churchy type. Pastors don't give a damn about your problems.

I'm very serious, churches do give help to their beloved ones in a time like this.

Funny enough I'm on the same page with you. It's not that we deliberately borrow money and not want to pay back. Things are really tough and challenging. I wish I have someone to open up to and look for a way to stop taking more loans. My life is in a mess right now.
if you are a salary earner, you will surely comeout, i paid over 200k to loan apps last month, what happened is that a legit loan company came to my work, been a government worker they offer me 500k,paying for 15 months, and it will be automatically deduct from my salary, so that's how paid them back with the remaining to start small business, not that i still don't own o, but am owning the responsible one,

I'v been reading the replies and I must say am really disappointed at the mind set of most people. You doing this to people's businesss and you want to progress?

These same set of persons end up complaining that no one is helping them.

Were you forced to take the loan?

Dint you see the interest rate before taking the loan?

How would you feel if it were to be your business?

I have also borrowed, but I made sure I paid back

Remember, Karma is a bitch

Do not be anxious about the next day! (Matthew 6:33) Will worrying add a cubit to your life span.

Sit down, think of the worst that can happen if you don't pay these loans on time? Trust me the heavens won't fall. I doubt these loan companies will ever get you arrested. They are just threats. I don't think they have the right.

Also, what they charge as interest for these high-risk loans helps to cover up for those who default.

I think you should face your business and give yourself 6 months to pay up all your debts. By then, hopefully, you'd have accumulated any money from your business. I am sure these apps will just be happy collecting what you just owe now, rather than receive nothing.

Hmm, small money you say. Men are in sizes, what is small to you maybe gargatun to someone else. #230K is quite a huge sum. lt can change my life.

My point is, it makes zero financial sense. Taking a loan with almost double digit interest rate to be paid back in less than a month. It's inexplicable. With the current inflation rate, 20k burns faster than you can say jack so why take a loan on it?

If you can drive, get an Uber (not necessarily your car) gather up some money to clear the debts and see if you can revamp your business from money saved up there.

I just read a news on front page now, that some of these loans companies has just been closed.

Some of them you owing was involved in the list.

But my advice to you that might help a bit is try and borrow from close friends, make a list of 20 people that can gift you 2k without you refunding it. it's crowdfunding Sha. Use it and service some debts

Then sell some assets you have.

Then never borrow from them again

Then, you can learn an online skill, just as creation and sales of digital products.

just suggestions though.

Duke007 crowdfunding as suggested

There is nothing wrong in the Loan apps' business model. Na you carry yourself go borrow. Dem no force you. It is an eye-opener for all. If una stop dey borrow, they will die a natural death.

Now imagine if it were your friends that lend you the money? You fit the profile of who would never pay back loans-- e go be one long story after another. God has used these online loan shacks to free innocent friends that would have been victims of "borrow and no pay"

Disable permission to contact on the loan app from your phone setting. They won't have asses to your contacts. Then try as much as possible to pat back and free yourself from the stress

That was how I got into this mess too, using one loan app to pay another. The funny thing is the money started from nine or ten thousand. You start using other loan apps to pay each other and the debt keeps rising with their huge interest. Now I can't even enjoy my salary. I understand how you got into this.
Break out by not repaying especially those greedy Chinese loan sharks app and if you get defamed don't bother yourself if not you will be their slave forever

The same thing is happening to my brother too and its embarrassing us all and we don't know what to do

My younger brother borrows from over 20 to 30 loan apps, and when it is time to pay one of the loan company, he will borrow from one to pay the other and when he cannot pay, the loan app keeps generating interests, and these companies keep embarrassing persons who he placed as guarantor even when these persons are not aware that he(My Brother) used them as guarantor.

On several occasion, Our father has paid huge sums of about 1m twice within an interval of 3-4 months.

This is a height of irresponsibility from my brother and he refuse to take to correction. When asked what he did with the money, he keeps telling us he used it for betting sites and all sorts of unnecessary excuses.

My Question is this:

1. What advice will you give to me that I can do for this loan apps to stop borrowing to him.

2. Or what other thing can you suggest I can do for him to stop this act.

I will be grateful if my you can reply me as soon as possible. Please see below some of the list he borrowed from these loan companies at once that my father had to pay

Thanks for the audience.*

Now it has got too much and almost over for them but they made a lot of profit tho...like me I was in their spider web repaying for almost 2_years until they defamed me then I grew thick skin.

How can a customer paying roughly every 7days to ur shark account and one default u defame me with my pic

If you had earlier opened account with Kuda Bank, all this whala won't be much. I opened account with kuda two years back, along the line, I was given 200k overdraft that I can use anytime, anyday and their interest is very very low.

Even though, I hardly use the 200k but if anything happens, I know 200k is on ground.

Apart, from your business, learn other skills that can be given you money. when we talk about crypto, most of you here cry that's it is a scam. There are plenty ways to make money in crypto business.

Also, be conversant with happenings. Assuming, you engaged yourself in currency arb before reductions on cards usage now, you would have been a millionaire now.

Those loan app guys are criminals. Their interest rates are criminally extortionate
I once took a loan from an online outlet #4000. The interest was 2000, i.e 50%. I deliberately took that loan, I wanted to see what my defaulting to pay back was capable of attracting. They called, I took the call, the lady was like "Your debt is overdue, when are you paying" I told her I didn't know, and didn't care. And btw you have a very beautiful voice. Tell your boss to tell his boss that I won't pay."

They sent texts in thousands,I didn't even care. They threatened to to defame me, hack into my contact and inform them I was a fraudster. They were also coming to arrest me. I told them there's nothing to defame. Buhari is owing, Nigeria is also owing.
After some months, they moved from using threats and scurrilous language to entreating. They even said I could pay by installments. Installment ko, installation ni? sad Because of them I stopped taking calls from numbers I didn't have on my contact. Later they said I should pay 4000 and they will waive the accumulated interests.
"Ehen, na now una come. Send me the account number."
I transferred the money to them.
I later checked their app to know my eligibility status, or to see if I could take a higher loan. Lo and behold, I was dishonorably blacklisted.
Wetin concern me.
Some will even go as far as asking for your card detail. Yahoo boys have gone better.
In your mind you are smart? Huh? undecided

You deliberately took the loan? Playing with someone else business right? undecided

People will play with your own business and sweat IJN.

May God Help you Nigerians. Spit!!

One thing I have noticed about people that borrow from these loan apps is greed.....Most of them don't have plans of paying back in the first place.

I received a WhatsApp message from one loan company last week telling me to compel my friend to pay up her debt that she's a criminal etc.....I was very angry and warned them not to send me that annoying message next time because I ain't aware she took loan. I blocked them immediately.

I have tried everything possible to avoid commenting on this thread. However, I am sincerely concerned and I feel obligated to advice you in case you are ready to truly listen. The total money you are owing for now is less than 300,000NGN, and you need to clear that debt as soon as possible before it increases beyond your refunding capacity eternally due to accumulated interest.

1. Write down a concrete plan on how you will be paying them installmentally over a period of time not exceeding a duration of Six (6) months and stick to the payment plan religiously. OR

2. Look for extra money either by selling off one of your assets (land or any other investment of value) and use the proceeds to settle the debts once and for all.

So how has the loan company ruined you? You took a loan when you clearly knew you had no means of paying back, so what were you expecting? Will you take similar loans from your friends and colleagues and not expect to pay back? Aside closing these loan sharks, I think the government really needs to deal with you defaulters because what you lots do is clearly an act of theft.
