Oga okubanjo ..I am actually the type of employee you need...that's a pissy little boy playing in grown men' pool.
I'm a ++ Alpha...he'ld see attitude coming at him from miles away and run.

A whiff of disrespect and he gets it so bad...
I have even noticed...guys like that with toxic masculinity often seem to want me on their side.
Guys like me...we look cool but flip easily.

It will surprise you that that guy will have a bevy of beautiful ladies at his beck and call.

And I doubt he will get ruined. The cancel solidarity culture isn't so rife here. Maybe a few multinational clients might raise some reputational concerns but all he has to tell them is that he's already taking steps to resolve the "internal issues" and improve public perception. He's unlikely to lose many clients especially if his firm delivers top-notch services.

But calling him out is a step in the right direction and is likely to make him check his utterances.

For long term relationship? I doubt it.

This is some irrelevant bull

Gaddafi1:
So long a letter.

About 70 percent of bullies are male, and about 30 percent are female.
Both male and female bullies are more likely to target women.
Sixty-one percent of bullying comes from bosses or supervisors. Thirty-three percent comes from co-workers. The remaining 6 percent occurs when people at lower employment levels bully their supervisors or others above them.

INFORMATION IS POWER

This guy though. A typical Nigerian boss. Most of the people calling him out are worse than he is.

So because they are worse we should give him a pass?

₦700k is not up to $2k o. It's not even up to £1k. For a dev. And he's there mouthing off about a ₦26m account. F*ck you Ebun Okubanjo.

You can never achieve productivity by over stressing and abusing your workers because you think you're a workaholic. Workaholic my ass. If I were this guy's client, I would terminate the contract immediately.
Oga get out.
You think its easy to run a successful company in Nigeria?
With the rising costs of goods and services, costs of operating and maintaining a company are soaring higher and higher. The government has done little or nothing to support startups, why won't he proactively run his company to the best of his abilities?

A man will run his business the way he sees fit.
He didn't hold a gun to anyone's head to remain his employee. If you are not comfortable with always being up and running, then resign honorably and seek a place that suits your slackness.

He runs his business like a workaholic. All I see is cheap blackmail against the company's founder.

Go and found your own startup. Its as simple as that.

Owning a business does not relieve one of his/her duty to uphold professionalism.

It is not his workaholic tendencies that his ex-employees seem to have a problem with. It's his toxicity and lack of work ethics.

Sending messages at 2.30 in the night and expecting an instant response from somebody in dreamland, insulting your employees (referring to them as 'pussíes' and 'motherfuckérs'), insulting their families, hiring, firing, then rehiring, body-shaming your employees, etc is your idea of a workaholic?

Oga don't loose your sense of humanity because you are capable of employing, thats rascality, it's just like saying you can demand for sex from any employee, if he or she doesn't like it, the person should resign. . I hope your children don't experience these toxic work places.
No dey talk nonsense just because you like talking.
The terms and conditions of employment are most probably stated in the employment letter.
This is a guy running a succeful business in a hostile business environment like Nigeria. What is the government doing to help startups.
You think its easy to run a startup?
Don't just talk because you know how to.

Why do you think it's an exaggeration?

Is there no possibility that he actually did what they accused him of?

With the knowledge you have of some African bosses, do you think these accusations are beyond him?

the western world is no better, it's the large number of options and opportunities that one can easily move on to that makes it kind of better as you can easily move to a better place to work. The little amount of job opportunities for Nigerians is the major problem. Here in the west employers and agencies chases us like mad so you have options

You just answered my obv.

The options. That was my point.

Almost no human being will decide to stay out with a boss with serious mental issues when you have options.

Don’t even get me started with the cancel culture in the west.

We the youths have to get it right , elites have to re colonize the masses . The said toxic boss is a reflection of the society. A lot of people get lazy and relaxed so long as they can get their daily bread but as pointed out by one of his ex staffs that the company is a mission as. You don't expect him to settle for less the only issue is his verbal abuses . In this case there's a need for like minded stakeholders and board of directors for proper checks and balance.

If only you knew that you are speaking from a place of one who has been dehumanised without even knowing.

Driving ones staff hard is not a problem. When Tesla was on the ropes a few years back, Elon was spending 20-22hr days working.

If your Oga is working for 20hrs, nobody needs to tell you that you cannot work 8hrs and go home.

That is entirely different from cursing, insulting, threatening, bullying and emotionally battering your staff.

If you do that nowadays what happens is lawsuits will tie up your legal dept, the best talent will avoid your firm, your investors will start shopping for your replacement and the value of your company's brand will plummet.

You wouldn't understand this because you must be an abuser yourself, that's why you see nothing wrong in these terrible stories.

So married women should give up their right to work because of toxic fellow employees.

If they give up banking, should they also give up nursing, civil service, and in fact all trades and professions in order to satisfy insane bullies.

Even little girls hawking stuff on the road are subjected to sexual bullying and harrassment.

Women want to work and will insist on their right to do so in an atmosphere of respect without toxic people making their lives hell.

You don’t get it. This isn’t about sexual harassment but using your femininity to get clients. No management will compel a nurse or civil servant to convince a client to make deposits in millions.

This is opposed to the banking sector where workers must meet target. It is in trying to meet those targets that temptations slides in.

As a married woman trying to meet targets, you will be subjected to all manners of sexual harassment. This is why I said that a banking job isn’t ideal for a married woman. In fact, any marketing job that is intense isn’t ideal for a married woman.

I was not necessarily holding brief for the guy.
Its common place nowadays for idiots to form woke and demand the most, even when putting in the least amount of work.
I maintain that the report was exaggerated.

Only an idiot wouldn't understand what it means to run a startup in Nigeria under intense amounts of pressure.
