It's the harsh reality facing Nigerians. This government has plunged Nigerians into an abyss and period where they've become beggars on social media.
Those who beg - not all though - must have found themselves in very difficult situations- a kind of quaqmire. But I don't see reason why people beg in order to maintain a particular lifestyle,like begging to pay for TV subscription. I can understand when people beg to be able to get food and other necessary things.
For those mocking those who go cap in hand ,I hope they'll be able to adjust when hard times fall on them. Nobody wants them; nobody knows when they hit.

Begging is as old as history. I have been to many places in my life from Belgium to Holland to Germany and London, people beg for money,food and the like. It has nothing to do with the economy of a Nation. Some people are potential beggars and its in their blood.Nonetheless, a responsible and decent person will not beg except when he/she is hook into a corner.l once begged in the street of Lagos when l was using my car for kabukabu.All of a sudden, l carried a naught girl on a drop to toyin street here at Ikeja,she refused to come down ,as a gentle man,l pleaded, she said except l paid her for the service she rendered for me overnight. In an attempt to fight with her,she became wild calling people attention.l then asked how much do you want? She said #10,000. I barely had #1000 with me.it took a lot of persuasion before she succumbed to my #1000. As soon as she left,just for me to go,the fuel finished, no ATM,I have to beg for #200 to buy fuel and returned home.

Especially able-bodied youths.... .take social media platforms for example, begging is the new norm. On the streets of Lagos you see mama with children soliciting for arms to eat, old men , little boys and girls are not left out.

The economic hardship is real. Those with jobs can't even cope talk less of those without job.

As for me, I don't pick calls again, especially unknown numbers. Thank God I have a dedicated business line I don't use to make calls so folks don't have the number.
Why? See 90% of the calls and whatsapp, fb etc I get is from folks asking for money.
Eg. Old school mate I met at reunion after not seeing for over 33 years. Called
1 week after party I sent money. 1 week later she called that her friend(Sic) was owing online loan app and they are disturbing her. Her friend need 50k as I de write this she de call me sef.
Another one say house rent don expire landlord Wan pursue family. My paddy nko, the one that almost punch my over buhari matter, that one and another no de follow me talk again!

So to avoid quarell, I don't pick calls or respond to messages.
Those my mind moves me to assist I do, but unfortunately, the next week they are back to ask.
Some that ask me for loan nko, don't even go there, once you give them, that is the end, they will meet with you everyday and do as if you dash them the money. So me, i don't lend money again.
Suppring thing is that na manage I de, If I wanna drink, I buy a bottle of red label, ice etc, stay home or drive out, stay in my car and drink, instead of entering joint and buying drink of 6k for 15k.
I built my own barbeque griller, on weekends we de house grill fish that they sell outside for 7k outside. Chicken they sell 8k for bar, I go buy 2 kilo chicken, 2 kilo turkey. Spice am grill for compound garden
Things are really hard right now for Nigerians due to this evil regime.

When you hit rock bottom you will start receiving calls again.

This reminds me of a guy who said he doesn’t receive calls. Would you blame him? He was wealthy with a nice paying job. Niggar looked down on people and would never receive or return calls.

Fate dealt a blow in him and he lost everything. Dude became humbled and learnt to start flashing because he couldn’t even afford airtime.

However,these individuals should put more effort in their hustle.
We know economy is hard now.
However,online begging is not the way to go.
If you don't have capital to start a business,work in a salaried work,save, while sourcing for capital from family and friends,or even from the genuine and professional loan apps we have on google playstore.

People beg alot because there is hunger in the land with high unemployment rate.

It's going to get worse because USD will hit $700 on or before December this year, government will remove subsidy on petroleum products, diesel will hit N700 to N900 before December this year while petrol will get to around N300 per liter and boom... catastrophy will hit everywhere. People will loose more jobs and alot will become hopeless than now.
I see people protesting against the government and I see things becoming worse for a whole lot.

As for me and my folks, the more Dollar goes up, the richer we become. The more the country elect a clueless leader, the richer we become. Thank God for blessing me with a skill set like forex. Today my family members, inlaws, friends and students have been empowered on the same skill set. Alot are doing well on their own as we speak.

Inflation will eat up the extra naira you get from the increase in exchange rate, and that will keep you almost on the exact spot you were previously or even at a loss.

I know this because i have been sending dollars to Nigeria since 2019 when the exchange rate was 360/$ to now it's about 583/$.

For instance, check the price of a bag of cement when the exchange rate was 360/$ and now that it's at 583/$, and see if you're gaining or losing, assuming you're working with $5000.

$5000 in 2019(when exchange rate was 360/$ and cement #2500/bag) would get you 720 bags of Dangote cement, but now, at your exchange rate of 583/$ and 4500/bag of cement, $5000 will get you only 648 bags.

This scenario applies to every goods in Nigeria, and you can see that inflation does no one any good, even if you are earning in dollars.

My friend explained the mindset. He said “since you don’t know what to do with your cash, the next man wants it to himself. It’s all a game. Fall for it once and you’ll always remain the loser.” It’s true since if I take a walk at night I see men at their jobs begging without caring that I haven’t experienced employment for almost two years now.
