Lol. As if Nigeria's presidential election is won by merit.
The 19 states political structure created by northern military dictators in Northern region gave Arewa politicians the right to decide who shall be Nigeria's president.
Southern politicians of today no longer seem to understand that land mass or population figures is never used as criterion to derive new federating units in a country formed by diverse regions. They no longer ask for political restructuring of Nigeria.

U wanted to be clever by half showed the increase in percentage without showing the figure

If he achieved all those by borrowing less than 10 billion then it's even more magical

I guess comprehension and calculation is your problem, total foreign debt of the state was $ 65.9 million as of 2020,thats exluding $70 million from Islamic Bank and $80 million from Africa together growing fund, then add the domestic debts and see your argument is crap.

Am telling you again, say what you know, umahi have tried very well, but to say he did it all without taking loans is not a fact.

Stop talking like a dunce!
Building an airport is very important to any state in Nigeria today considering the level of insecurity everywhere. The availability of an airport will attract investors who wouldn't ordinarily want to invest in Ebonyi due to bad federal roads and insecurity.

When investors are attracted, jobs will be created! Or how else do you want Dave Umahi to create jobs if not by building infrastructure and an enabling environment?

Take your rubbish advise to your state that needs it more because Ebonyi is already better!!
U must be kidding about the bolded...
There are lot of states airports dat are becoming a bane for FAAN to maintain because they aren't viable ..how has it brought investors to their state..

How is building an airport the same as creating an enabling environment..
Ogun state doesn't have an airport...
Almost All it federal roads but it has better investment than any other western state excluding Lagos..

There are more job opportunities and industries in abia state despite lacking an airport and good roads

How has the airport in bayelsa and calabar attracted investor...
U think if they want to come.. airport is what they will be looking at...pls let not deceive ourselves..

Yeah building an airport isn't bad...it has no economic promises for ebonyi..at least not in 2 or 3 decades..except incoming governors now focus on industrialization

The 19 states political structure doesn't affect election..

If u move the middle belt to the south in which most of them belong to APC ..does it change the fact that they will still vote APC...

It isn't about north or south...yes Hausa has the largest population..they are not larger than Igbo and yoruba combined or even if u now include other minorities..
So that isn't the point..
Once votes are casted..they are counted individually..and north or factor as well as no. Of state have no influence over them..

When the entire country was almost in PDP including the north ..it wasn't influenced by north having 19 states..when APC gained prominence and took over..they didn't still use the 19 states factor

The only influence in this imbalance is when it comes to political appointment , recruitment and NASS membership

Shut up.

The govt is building airport which will provide job opportunities, you are here screaming what Ebonyi needs is job. So how will he provide the jobs? By simply enrolling you into the payroll and be paying you for doing nothing?

What the indigenes need is conducive atmosphere to earn cool living and that conducive atmosphere is the provision of basic amenities. Dave Umahi has performed creditably in this regard.

No govt will bring money and food physically to your door step. That airport will provide both direct and indirect employment to youth who have brains and that is the money and food. angry

You seemed not to understand what he said, simply because you are not from South East. Ebonyi State has very poor indigen who are mainly farmers. Who will use the air port? Enugu has air port which is close to them. The money spent on the air port, could have been used to build industries like palm oil refinery, rice mill, cassava & yam floor... These are what the people of Ebonyi are into, even the rich ones are into agricultural production. Basically construction of air port should be among the last in scale of preference for Ebonyi.

You'll never have sense. People like you should be prevented from breeding because no mentally stable woman will want to produce offsprings with you and, when you eventually find your fellow mentally-unbalanced female to breed with, your offspring will have genes from your psychosis and her mental instability and that's detrimental to the continued survival of the human specie.
Do you now see why you should never be allowed to reproduce?

So people who will work in the airport as workers will be from kafanchan and not Ebonyi? So investors who will invest in the state will enter into Ebonyi by swimming through a non-existent sea?

So the business opportunities that will open around the airport is not avenue to create wealth for Ebonyians?

Sense is very far from you mumu man.
LEA , FAAN or the likes..they will just deploy their existing officers whom most likely might not be from ebonyi or be Igbo to the airport not employ new ones...
The same thing most airline will do...

But when u talk of direct employment ..it won't employ more than 200... There will not be any significant indirect jobs created as well as the airport doesmt produce anything neither will it engage in cargo services

This is a project that will cost nothing less than N35bn to build...

If u put that money into building a massive industry...it will more than 600 workers...and indirect jobs will be created through the sales of the product

Innoson plants doesn't cost up to N30bn..but employs 2,000 plus direct workers...

By the way which business activity want to open around the airport meant for only passengers..
Go to Edo, calabar, delta, imo airports....which business activity opened there...or u want to include taxi drivers..how many taxi drivers want to be there...

Bayelsa airport opened a few years ago...
That airport hasn't been regularly receiving local flights... I don't even think more than 2 airlines fly there because there is no market there...airpeace no longer fly there often...

Any presidential candidate in Nigeria must win 25% of votes in 24 states, apart from winning the highest number of votes, before the candidate can be proclaimed winner. Perhaps, this is unknown to you.
Even an illiterate Fulani from Northern Nigeria can win 25% of votes in all the 19 states sewed like seeds in the old Northern region, only 25% of votes in 5 southern states will the Fulani presidential candidate need to complete his win.

But there is no southern presidential candidate who can win elections with the ease a Fulani presidential candidate can win. Do the Maths.
By proliferation of undue number of states in the old Northern region, north fcucked the south, politically and economically.
