I don't know the English or botanical name but it's popular even on the Internet.

So I did a search for the leave and I got the following as botanical name - Jatropha tanjorensis. So does any of the attached resemble the leaf in question?

Solution - soak leave in salt water and soak cassava for 3 days.
Akpu and ipaja soup is ready.

I eat cassava leave too , and I properly process them before I do too.

If you go back to all I wrote. I didn't say don't eat cassava or don't eat garri. I said eat only after properly processing in order to rid them of harmful substances that slowly kill us off particularly especially in Africa. Ignorance is not bliss is tale of Africa and Africans. The low life expectancy age( ~ 55) is there in west Africa alone serves as clear evidence that ignoring the warnings continue to not help in anyway.

Just messing with you. I am pretty much submitted to the fact bacteria and food work hand in hand to give food its taste. So no complaints from me as far as sushi and other raw Asian cuisines. I wouldn't eat live stuff things though..

Lysol, clorox, bleach etc are always around me in the kitchen.

Soap and water is all the cleaning I need in kitchen. At least when food falls on table, I can be assured that it won't harm me when I throw it in mouth as opposed to when I wipe it all down with bleach of lysol.
