Monotheism, in itself, is blasphemous.

Every monotheistic religion calls those who worship any deity apart from theirs idol worshipers. Today hundreds of Pakistanis will call their Hindu neighbours idol worshipers and even some the 200 Million Indian Muslims will their fellow country men idolaters. Public figures in both countries are not left out of this practice of shame. That is how monotheism is designed.

If a Christian said that Prophet Mohammed is not a prophet but an evangelist it would pass as blasphemy right? I've heard Muslims say in public places here in Nigeria that Jesus was a prophet and not the son of God.

That is what Islam teaches and the essence of the very doctrine is blasphemous because a Muslim would be giving Jesus, whom Christians Revere, a description Christians think is unworthy of their God's son

Regarding you last statement, I know about 5 scholars here in the north who were assassinated because they keep telling the government and the elites the truth. A recent example is Sheikh Khaled, the Abuja Imam who was sacked because he criticized them.[if what he said was even criticism]

another example, begging is warned against. Islam absolutely forbids begging... Except if one is in dire need. But you will see all those beggars on the street, some will say Islam allows begging whereas it is forbidden.

I don't agree that all monetheistic religions are blasphemous. as far as I know, in Islam, those that don't believe in the same God as us, we call them 'kafir' or 'kafiroon[plural]' which kinda means someone that doesn’t believe. So, I don't know from which authentic source you got that. About India n Pakistan... I believe it's their culture & not Islam.

2. No, it wouldn't pass as blasphemy. any learned Muslim would ask you to back what you said with evidence from the Bible or any religious scripture. Believe me, there's no educated Muslim that will take offence when a Christian comes to them and say that he/she doesn't believe that Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] is a Prophet. It's always those people with skewed understanding of Islam.

3. Yes. We Muslims say according to Islam Prophet Jesus [peace be upon him] is not the son of God. I don't see anything wrong with that, the same way I don't see anything wrong with Christian saying according to their Bible they don't believe in Prophet Muhammad [SAW].

I'm interested in your third paragraph.
Saying that Jesus is not the son of God contradicts the tenets of Christianity and is therefore blasphemous.
Saying that Mohammed is not the prophet of God is also blasphemous and contravenes the pillars of Islam.
My conclusion is that by virtue of believing that there's only one God or by virtue of believing that one's religion is supreme faithfuls blaspheme.

Lol you can be jailed for insulting a religion yet adherents of the dominant faiths insult traditional beliefs all the time. Every imam and pastor would be imprisoned by that standard. It takes a certain level of weakness to want to lock away someone that criticizes your belief.
