Hi! Thank you for the response. Since the last week of February I've sent a total of four webforms. The first two emphasizing on how long my entire application has been (going on 9 months) and the remaining two emphasizing on my upcoming physical classes and how my plans remain in limbo because of the waiting period. I attached my e-medical and I didn't hear back at all.

I emailed ALL the offices and received responses from the London office, which directed me to Nairobi and about 20 something working days later, Nairobi gave me the typical auto-generated "under review" message.

I had my friend reach out to his MP's office and they assigned him as a third party communicator so he can request for more information on my application and they gave me a waiting period of 15 working days. This was since the 6th of April.

I also ordered my GCMS notes yesterday. I'll probably send some more emails tomorrow since I haven't done it in a while and have been very demoralized. I'll just pour all that melancholy into the emails and send them off. Thank you.

gaeul:
If that's is the case then start sending webforms and emails...send mails to Nairobi, Nigeria, London offices but concentrate on Nairobi and send webforms too....Don't relent, emphasize how the experience been exhausting and almost depressing for you...u can send same email to all contacts...please be persistent...just keep sending, that's what I did in my case and it was updated to pass and same day I got my BVL and PPR seven days later....it took about 2weeks from the first email and webform before it was updated...Good luck to you...

I always talk about this. Backlog backlog but our fellow Nigerians in SA, America, Australia, UK and beyond get their applications processed entirely within a month + of submission. Is it really backlogs or just preferential assessment?

kweje:
Congratulations in advance.

Interesting how fast applications are processed in some other countries.

Untrue. They have an ideal number but they are not obliged to surpass or stay below it. Last year alone, Canada gave more PPRs than it has in the last 5 years. It's really about the decision of the visa officer.

The thing is these countries all have a quota each year for international students and they can't take more than they require no matter how qualified everybody is.

So I got a mail from centennial college this evening stating that my nephew has been admitted to study software engineering and he is required to pay a deposit of 2650 dollars.
Is this normal?
And if it is, can anyone tell me how we're to go about it.
I'd really appreciate if I can get a quick response as there's limited time remaining.

Good day guys, I had to settle to write this because I started my journey here and will finally end it here as well. I recently received my passport request on 21/04/2022.

This journey has started since 2019. My first ever application I used an agent to which was recommended to me by a family friend. My mother was the one in direct contact with the agent all i did was drop documents and go for biometrics. I wasn't really ecstatic about leaving Nigeria then. It wasn't in my plans at all. my application was already 6 months old. Luckily, I withdrew the application as I needed my passport for certain things which I'll not go into the Intricacies. I didn't even bother if my application was going fine or not I just desperately needed my passport at that point not caring what was done or if my application was submitted correctly. Sha I withdrew.

Fast forward to 2020. A friend of mine sparked my interest in traveling to Canada. Especially with the way the country don be. Mhen, then I remembered I had applied for this before. I asked for her advice and she directed me to Nairaland instantly I started reading the thread sometimes I could go as far as 2016 to see what was discussed and how things has changed found that Frankrobbn1, Lekiboboe, Justmellow, Fgmp12, shupy, dommakavelli, just wise where top contributors. So I took my time and read their timelines. Every answers they gave/answered.

However, due to what I already learnt here I knew I had to get in contact with the agent of 2019 again to tell me what he filled in my IMM forms. I also planned to order my gcms files to see myself but I needed the details from the last application and hear what he has to say. I was in shock to what was submitted. The fallacies in my application and knew instantly that I was in deep shit. I can't drastically change any information as that will be considered misrepresentation. IRCC no send if na agent apply for you. So one way or another I maneuvered. I was able to dilute some information. While some i just left it like that. There was no way I could change them.

With what I already knew I applied on July 23 2021. I was then refused November 29 2021. I was devastated. Upon everything whey I don Sabi. Haba na. I ordered my notes the same day I got refused.

I took my time got closer to God, bought some study permit courses from Mark holte. Paid for study permit webinars organized by immigration lawyers. Looked for other resources to gather information, felt nairaland wasn't enough. I would always direct message immigration lawyers on twitter i.e Andrew kolton, Raj sharma, Mikal, Mario Bellissimo. I got some information about the Intricacies, learnt alot about chinook e.t.c
Information choke sha.

With that in mind. I addressed my refusal reasons as accentuated by my GCMS notes. Which were sources of funds in 3 words. Packaged my application and applied on the 11th April of 2022. I received my passport request on 21st of April 2022.

Docs submitted in no particular order
1.) Evidence of post secondary education
2.) LOE (1 Page)
3.) SOP (4 Pages)
4.) NIN Slip(Me and my sponsor)
5.) Birth certificate
6.) IELTS
7.) 12 months bank statements for sponsor
8.) My bank statement (4 months)
9.) Business Invoices and receipts
10.) Tuition payment receipts
11.) Recommendation letters
12.) Financial statements of business
13.) Family pictures
14.) Business related pictures
15.) CAC registration docs
16.) Tenancy agreement and evidence of it's proceeds
17.) Sponsorship letter
18.) Bank reference Letter.

It'll end in praise for each and every one of us.

From recent time lines, I notice reapplications are getting fast decisions when the new portal is used to reapply. No biometrics (already done), no medicals (already done, provided it's still active), the VO just do review/check and go straight to the reason for the previous refusal to check if it has been addressed. If you're reapplying, please use the new portal.

I understand how frustrating the whole sputum can be as my medicals took 4 months...if possible don't message Nairobi about your application. Keep sending them email about your medicals and how frustrating and tiring the experience have been for you. Nairobi never replied me even when I was told my file was there but they updated it after two week..Keep sending Nairobi emails at least twice a day, tell them how your medical delays is affecting your mental health bla blah blah...Be precise, detailed and a bit emotional...These people don't play with mental health and well-being...Don't worry too much, as long as your sputum was clear, the rest are just formalities, it will be updated to pass.... Once your medical is updated to pass, your decision will follow almost immediately...Goodluck to you...And please don't forget the email, at least twice a day...
