I just got my emergency request denied. Please what's the next step i can take, my resumption date is may 20th. I'm suspecting it's because I didn't complete my ds-160 yet. I felt we could complete it at worst 3days to the interview.

Some things are more important than the other. Please submit your ds160 first

My EA request got approved today after switching to Abuja from Lagos (after waiting a month with no response from Lagos) with the same MRV fee. Please if I pick the earliest available date, would I be able to reschedule if another earlier date shows up? Please does anybody know if an earlier date would even show up?

my experience: after waiting for one month to get EA in Lagos, I canceled Lagos appointment and used the same MRV to apply to Abuja this week . I was able to initiate another EA request to Abuja using the same MRV.EA was approved in Abuja within a day. I called embassy contacts several times to be sure the same MRV can be used for Abuja EA. The contact person said it might not but if it does, fine. So you can’t be too sure the same MRV will allow you book another EA. Regular available dates in Abuja is now April 2023. EA available date is May 18, 2022. I’m still checking two to three times a day to see if I can get an earlier date.

Were you able to get an earlier date?

Hi there! Congrats on your admission and funding.

To my knowledge, an academic session in USA is usually 9 months: from August to May (4.5 months for Fall and Spring semester each), while the Summer break (between June to early August) is 3 months.

Schools aren't usually in session during Summer, because technically summer is a break period, hence that 3 months is not included in the I-20.
That's why your I-20 shows 9 months.

For the second question, you can select a visa date now then towards June 22nd you can try requesting for an EA. That's my opinion/advice.

I hope it helps.

If you don't mind me asking please, what school and course did you get the GTA funding for?
Good morning please I’m just about to start my own journey but I’m still confused on how to input my waec result, which option best suits that or how do I input it?

Good evening everyone

I recently got admitted to study MSc Construction Engineering and Management for Fall 2022 semester. My COA is 53k, no funding at the moment but I was able to secure Mpower loan of 50k and planning to use my Dad as sponsor to cover the balance of 3k. I will be applying for visa as soon as possible and I will like to have an idea of the questions I can expecting and the best way to tackle them. Also, please anyone who has applied with Mpower loan, kindly share your experience. Thanks

This does not sound convincing enough for me.

Reword your “why course” and why school? Give me something more aside from ranking. They are ranked the largest, so, what does that do for you? How did that ranking help you choose the school.

Your answers are a little bit too generic, I will need you to dig deeper and provide more personalized answers

I know it’s a lot on your part, and I wish you all the best as you navigate this phase!

Okay brother thanks
