Igbofam: Forget about the OP, there is no cheap gas from LNG, especially from Shale Oil LNG, this is simple propaganda, the US is subsidising the cost of LNG but for how long. |

ericmani: As long as that your news is from Lavrov then be rest assured that it's a lie. You can read this link to be better informed. Russia and propaganda are 5 and 6. If indeed they still have a lot of nations buying their crude why did they drop their oil prices heavily while begging countries to come and buy? www.devdiscourse.com/article/headlines/2035362-factbox-who-is-buying-russian-crude-oil-and-who-has-stopped%3famp |

sulaak: If you followed the conversation by the OP you would have seen where he posted why the gas would be cheaper for Bulgaria and that is because they have a terminal they just linked to Greece. Greece is barely 800km from Bulgaria while Russia is over 4000km from Bulgaria so do the math and tell me why Bulgaria would not be getting LNG supplied to them for cheaper? 1 Like |

This war in Russia is a blessing in disguise for my dear country! Mark my words the west will invest massively in alternative sources of energy which will in turn make crude oil obsolete the only thing keeping Nigeria together is crude oil. 1 Like |

Re: Bulgaria To Replace Russian Gas Supply With Cheaper US LNG by ISabiDisturb: 6:19pm On May 14, 2022 |
bakar007: LNG to Bulgaria would dock in Greece which is 800km from Bulgaria. Russian gas pipeline distance to Bulgaria covers a little over 4000km In layman's terms explain to me how something coming from a little over 4000km away would be cheaper than something coming from 800km away. I would like to learn your Statistics and economics |

mainkendo: There is no real price. Bulgaria is now linked to Greece via an LNG terminal which is just 800km away. Russian gas is over 4000km away 800km supply should be cheaper than a 4000km supply. Right or wrong? 1 Like |

Svlla: quick question: why are you crying more than Bulgaria that wants to get gas from different other sources. So in all of Bulgarian government agencies, there's no intelligent being that can analyze all you said above? or you're the only one that knows it. They know it, they are cool with it. They have moved forward with it. Coming here to form analyst doesn't take away the fact that Bulgaria is getting gas supplies from other sources and they are okay with it 1 Like |

Demolakay: This your comment is all sorts of deluded that I do not even know where to begin from with it. Natural gas from USA is perfect for any country because it is refined and not used right from the ground. However due to distance from USA to Europe the most cost effective way to transport it is as LNG. Bulgaria is not making any second hand purchases from other countries. On the contrary Bulgaria has connected directly to the LNG terminal in Greece which is about 800km away. They buy directly. And by the way No European country is opening accounts in Rubles....it's European Companies that are doing so. About 18 to 21 companies have done so and not countries. I would like to believe that a company is not a country wouldn't you agree? |

Re: Bulgaria To Replace Russian Gas Supply With Cheaper US LNG by bakar007: 6:27pm On May 14, 2022 |
ISabiDisturb: Because it comes through pipes that cut across Europe and on discounted prices, those pipes remains constant and the cheapest means of transporting gas thus reducing cost. You have these facilities these for so many years , with LNG comes shipping cost and port facilities is something you have to always spend for. https://www.shipleyenergy.com/resources/commercial/cng-vs-lng-whats-the-difference-which-is-best-for-your-commercial-fleet |

bakar007: Do you know what an LNG terminal is and how LNG flows to it's destination for use? Do you know what an LNG storage facility is? Does LNG flow via the air or via LNG pipelines? Let's test your intelligence a bit. Meanwhile Russian gas prices to Bulgaria increased by about 15% due to Bulgaria's refusal to pay in Russian Rubles. Why then do you think Bulgaria said they can now get it for cheaper especially since the prices increased by 15% from Russia? Or are you not aware of this? 2 Likes |

bakar007: Educate yourself. Nigeria has been shipping LNG to Europe for years and till date. LNG is abundant and can be sourced from any part of the world at even much more cheaper rate. Lots of country are looking for the market. LNG is not a scarce resource. 2 Likes |

Re: Bulgaria To Replace Russian Gas Supply With Cheaper US LNG by KillerCrocodile: 6:37pm On May 14, 2022 |
Demolakay: Thank you very much for this your reply void of insult. It is well noted and Time would tell. I am well aware of Companies that have started paying for Russian Energy in roubles. But the European Union over-reliance on Russian Energy poses a huge security risk. The Russian War chest cannot be continually funded by the EU, for them to now use it to Invade their European neighbors tomorrow. Russia has this "untrustworthy image" about them and that was why the NATO alliance was formed. The same untrustworthy image is now finding expression with their invasion of Ukraine. The European Union has no choice but to respond. Nobody would have thought in January that Finland and Sweden would be talking of NATO membership In May. But it is happening before our very eyes. So European countries would have to reject the bait of cheap gas from the Kremlin because every bait would eventually lead to a disastrous outcome. |

SARSCoV2: You are clearly not knowledgeable about this topic you are fixated on. LNG pipelines have been in existence for decades and the supply of LNG to Bulgaria would be coming through the Greek LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis Find attached the map showing the LNG pipeline links from Greece to Bulgaria, Romania, etc. The world has left Russia behind 2 Likes 1 Share

Re: Bulgaria To Replace Russian Gas Supply With Cheaper US LNG by ISabiDisturb: 6:58pm On May 14, 2022 |
favinvest: The only reason Germany is yet to switch off their Russian gas supply is simply because they failed to invest massively in floating LNG storages like Lithuania did which enabled them to stop receiving gas from Russia. Also with the coming online of Norwegian gas pipelines, Russia would eventually also lose Germany because Germany is already working with Norway to connect to the Norwegian pipelines. Norway already supplies about 30% of all the gas consumed by all of Europe and can easily increase their production. 1 Like

US gas can never be cheaper than Russian gas, first think of the cost of labor in the US compare to Russia. Norway has a large deposit of gas, think all EU countries should get their gas from there. |
