Many people take loan without paying back and these loan sharks derive joy in defaming people. Na people wey no get reputation go benefit from loan sharks cos dey no go fear defamation grin grin
Initially people were paying back it's when they started defaming people that's when they developed thick skin.

One day I was in a barbing saloon and some guys were talking about all these loan sharks. one said how 9jah cash ruined him so he got a separate Android phone to wreck all of them. He showed us his phone and if I'm not mistaken he has over 100 loan apps there. He stored fake contacts, no Facebook is on the phone, no WhatsApp, no bank app, just for collecting loans and not paying back.

If these guys had been professional to people, believe me most people would have been paying even though it might be late.

But when you defame someone, then call him back the following day to make payment, how do you expect him to pay after what you did to him. Most loan sharks are running at serious loss that's why they keep opening new apps everyday, cos once debt accumulates on one they'll stop giving out loans on it and divert customers to their other apps.

Also loan sharks are for poor and struggling people. No rich and comfortable person would take a loan of 10k to pay 18k in 7 days. that's foólishness. Only a broke and desperate person who wouldn't blink an eyelid if you choose to defame him would grab such offer. So after all your threats, and he chooses not to pay, who is loosing? It's the company.

Loan shark workers should also learn to stop threatening people, cos most people don't care anymore. People are passing through hell. I receive WhatsApp messages of people from loan sharks on my contact list at least 3-5 times every month. When I call them they'll be like abeg no mind those useless people. No one cares about defamation anymore, and Nigerians are also aware that they're not registered, and the government is after them, so all the threats of we will block your bvn, we'll use police to come and arrest you...etc they see it as wash.

If you borrow your money to a customer, once it's due day, call him greet him, then politely ask him to pay, patience is the key. cos if they choose not to pay there's absolutely nothing you can do after defaming them than to forfeit the money.

Is the company licensed with CBN?
I think it will be a good experience for your friend if it is a microfinance bank licensed by CBN that own loan apps on playstore or apple.
I don't really trust these unlicensed apps.
They are the one likely to be the notorious loan sharks that insult debtors and send those defaming texts.

The proliferation of Loan sharks is one of the bad legacies of Buhari's administration. These loan sharks were almost nonexistent before Buhari came into power. By taking loan every month as the president, Buhari promoted the act of taking loan in Nigeria. Today many Nigerians are burdened by the massive amount of debt they own, with some even contemplating suicide.

That’s what miseducation will get you to. What you just said lack logic, anyway I am assuming you are educated but now I think otherwise. Do you know the statistics about the existence of loan shark pre Buhari before opening your mouth wide to state gibberish?

Loan collection!
That thing isn't a job bro
I was once a loan collection agent also at Motorways Centre, at 7up bus stop... It's just slavery to be honest.
It's better you get a teaching job!
The pressure alone will affect your mental health... Remember you are to work on Target.
Once you don't meet the target for a month you are fired!!!!

I did a one month contract with one some years ago. My job scope was to setup a contact centre with about 100 agents. They were still ethical then and had a lot of respect for the customers.

The agents had a loan recovery and sales target with commission. Essentially, for every loan any of your accounts takes or repay, you get commission. This is apart from the base salary. However, now that they've gone into the gutters, it's better to avoid working with them as sales or recovery agents.

You just deprived a well meaning lady of Joy,

You just deprived an innocent lady of meeting her target for today,

You just murdered someone's hope of receiving a tangible salary at the end of the month

And on top of that, you just insulted a lady trying to make ends meet at her point of duty

Why borrow what you cannot repay? Just why?

And to even say that you are proud of this attitude!

There is a reason why the bible said do not lend money to your suffering brother on usury, And that he that hide or keep out of reach or far away food or whatever can be conveniently given to your brother by you. Or tell him to come the next day when you can conveniently give him on the spot will have his abode full of curses and misfortune.

The information I got from a reliable source about their mode of expression shows that there are different (recovery) levels of interacting with clients and it is based on the duration of default.

Their first approach towards recovery is usually in a very polite manner. However people deceives them, posts them or even shun them.

It is at that point that their case get transferred to the aggressive collectors who uses mild force to try to get defaulters to pay (this is usually after about two weeks).

If after trying the second approach, the defaulter still refuses to pay, the usual (very popular) approach of Defamation is introduced.

Many people who come out to complain don't tell us for how long they have defaulted.
