Your guy has attached his ego to the success or failure of this relationship. He simply cannot believe there is a girl in this world who would not want to be with him. He has put himself on a pedestal and, deep down, he is ashamed to give up. Don’t stop warning him but do it in a respectful manner so you don’t lose your friendship.
