Lolz...na so me and my mechanics dey quarrel. The only thing they like about me is that I pay them well, but u see that money, they will work for it o. I tell them what to do and I ask them 1million questions, I dey follow mechanic bumper to bumper, even lay down under motor sef. I tell them I do that Incase car disappoint for road, I will know what to do. Na so I take learn o. grin

Impressive... Nice bro... Same thing I'm doing like now too, currently at Berger suya, mechanic village in Trinity revamping my suspension and working on the oil seal leakage in the engine with the AC.

Suspension I worked on just February here all the bushings, steering nuckles, and linkage I changed then has gone bad again. Even the gassing I did for my two front shocks this new mechanic said I should repeat it again. I got here as early as 7am this morning and car will be ready tomorrow morning.

This time I went to the market to buy everything myself.

Thank God the mechanic said I shouldn't buy another nuckles I should just do fitting... See pictures of the works below.

I gas the shocked again and replaced one shocks bushings while they worked in the other one.

Now, the one they worked in looks just like a brand new one I just installed and according to my mechanic he said it will open probably after a week or so reason he asked me to buy new one.

So you see there's so parts you buy brand new while some toks is best because the old bad once owners removed these guys will go work on them then sell back to us as toks.

One needs to be loyal to these mechanics to know all these things but getting to that level is the problem

Ha! So sorry my reply is coming this late off course you know this is not a platform where one get instant response.

In case you haven't gotten any response to this just take the car to your mechanic let them bring down the shocks then they will take it to jankara to fill. But if you're DIY then take it to jankara after bringing down take it to jankara those guys will approach you when you get there then tell them what you need

The vehicle my madam uses does 3000 miles in 6 months. I do the maintenance myself and there's hardly any maintenance to be done self asides oil changes.

Whoever buys the vehicle would have hit serious jackpot.

And......she's a banker cheesy

Stop tearing race when you hear used by a banker, some of the vehicles are in pristine condition.

I understand that not all of them are like that especially those who bought the cars themselves and not their husbands.

But the fact is that if your madam is using regular conventional oil and changing it twice a year after a total of circa 6k miles a year then her engine is prone to becoming sludgy. She should be using synthetic oil for that type of severe use.

Some women actually know how to take care of their care even without their husbands input.
There's this flat directly opposite my own, I stay upstairs so I am able to see her compound from my bedroom.

Every weekend, this woman will wash the car herself (they have two). So anyone she's going out with she will wash it. She doesn't engage the security.

When she goes to pick her children from school and the kids alight from the car, she will clean all the carpets and rug before she join the children in the house.

I wouldn't say it's because she works from home that's why she has that time because caring for 3 kids is enough work already.

I have also seen her a couple of times check the fluids before starting the car in the morning.

Nigerians are so impatient, how do you guys handle riders that are so impatient, imagine getting an order of 8mins pickup but rider is already disturbing you with calls and text in less than 3mins and shouting where are you and why is it taking long as if you will fly to them. This is really annoying.
I simply cancel . There’s was one I even arrived stopped at her front and cancelled. 9/10 such riders are going to be rude because they’d want you to fly them to their destinations. If you’re running late, leave earlier.

But why would you accept an 8mins pickup trip?? Maybe this is normal in Lagos. Here in Abuja, maximum of 3-4mins we dey decline except na airport trip.

Appreciation goes to @felicity0001 for his help in the acquisition of my car.

It wasn't an easy task, from Ikotun to Ibadan and back to Ikorodu.
I have been successfully initiated into the Benz family.

Thank you for trusting us even without seeing us, neither the car nor the seller yet you still went ahead to make payment to the seller's account, a total stranger whom you never even talked to, meet nor know one on one.

Enjoy your new ride and once again welcome to the Mercedes Benz Crew (MBC).

This is the best engine to get for c200, it’s cast iron block with aluminum head and it’s so rugged. Most transporter now convert this engine into their Toyota Buses and all. Take care of this engine boss and it will serve you Man.

You’re indeed very lucky. Those ones you saw were robbers doing ‘industrial training’ grin The real ‘graduated’ robbers won’t have time to even start asking you to wind down.

What you’d just hear is KpruaaAA glass flying everywhere and all over your body then a cold iron pushing the side of your head with like 2 accompanying slaps on your face.

Nobody will tell you when you’d give them your wallet, keys and phones (even the ones you’re hiding under your seat)
True!

This is where the advantage of armored glass comes to play. It always gives the chance for an escape.

Assuming it was a bulletproofed glass, using a hard weapon on it wont even show any sign, and even a couple of close gunshots will only crack it,and you zoom off.

In an underpoliced city like lagos, armored glass in place of regular ones are important, even if you cant afford the full car bodied protection.

But,too much poverty in the land is limiting access to safety.

I know that bosses in the house would definitely come to enlighten you, but lemme quickly throw this for a start;
1) first, ensure all your papers are updated; Drivers license, car particulars, and what have you.
2) Go get your LASDRI card at Oshodi (road safety bus stop) - you will go along with your drivers license, then processes with start there (3k).
3) Go do LASRRA at any LG branch around you. You can also register for this online then go and finalize it at the LG branch you have around, but go and do it there sha.
4) once all this is done, the next step is to download bolt app and start registration.
5) after registration, next step is to take your car for bolt inspection at any of their branches in Lagos. If you reside in Lagos.
6) after a successful inspection result (in your mail box from. Bolt), then go hit the road and start moving Lagos.
7) as per being profitable - this depends on what profitability means to you sha. Some would tell you that it's not worth it and other would say otherwise. I use Camry 03 (rental), I remit to the car owner and I also have my own savings. The beginning might be very confusing to you in the aspect of how much you made for the day, but you will catch up in 2-3 days and understand what you're doing.
If I buy fuel of 5k (don't forget, Camry is 2.4L), I use it to gross between 22k - 25k, depends on surge. After removing my fuel money and paying bolt commission, I've having in my hand+bank account over 10k unshaken. On weekends, I make more than that for sure, so, it's still okay somehow. I know how much net I have if I gross 35k-40k, you will get to understand once you start.
If you're doing it full-time, your earnings will be higher.
So, if for example you net 10k daily for 6 days in a week, that's 60k weekly (multiply by 4 weeks a month, that's 240k, which I know you will make more than that cos I do.
For you to know what profit you're making, make sure you're doing your calculation, cos sometimes, you will see 20k on your dashboard and you will look your hand and account and you will be wondering where the 20k go? grin
But don't worry, na calculations go make you see where the money is hidden.
Can't type more than this, nro.
Legends here will educate you more, mine is just an opener.
Much respect, boss.
