After typing this comment, you should hide your head in shame forever. Did you see what Obi said? he is going to understudy "comparable" countries. This means that Egypt being an African country and also probably having the same power issue with us is more or less a country we need to look at to see how they were able to help themselves out of their situation and become better. He does not need to go to America, they do not understand it the way we do. They have always had electricity from time immemorial, they are more advanced in that area and catching up to them will take many years of consistent non-stop work. That is not what he is looking for. What/how/where exactly were you expecting him to go to understudy?

He went to Harvard for development studies and not power sector improvement.
He went to Egypt to study the power sector and how they improved in few years. Harvard doesn’t have a power problem, so why’ll he go to Harvard to study that?
When you study development, they’ll teach you to seek for help from someone that passed through your problem and was successful. Something Harvard will teach you and that is what he is doing.
