EFCC does not make laws, they are not the courts. They don't even have the power to jail anyone except the courts. They only have prosecutorial powers, they can usurp the powers of the court.


Civil right societies should challenge this statement in court and bring the idiot in EFCC who made the statement to book. EFCC must know it limits cannot cross prosecutorial boundaries.

Now all the genuine hardworking guys are packing out cuz of the increment. Our own landlord just added 50k cuz he has been a good man who encourages hard work.
This Yahoo guys can just team up in 3s to pay any amount provided the place is a safe haven for them. Most of all these landlords are even asking agents to get them Yahoo guys as tents who can afford their high increase on rent

I've been to all those places. Most of the houses there are built by retirees. Yahoo boys house are very very few.

The only way EFcc can swiftly stem the tide of yahoo-yahoo is honesty and diligence,professionalism,integrity on the part of agency’s personnel...until they do that they would keep chasing shadows and running in circles.

A landlord has no reasonable ground to increase rent knowing fully well his tenants would be going through the hardship of this inflation. Most landlord especially in the North even had to reduce their house rent just to ease economic pressures from their tenants. I pay the rent for my parents and was happy when they gave me this news, imagine 20% reduction.
Here down South the story is different especially here in the Estate where I live

For your subsequent paragraphs, yes, I agree with you to some extent. But if you didn't rush over my point that their appearance will provide valuable leads, you would not rush to claim it's a hasty generalization. In investigating crimes, leads are used however. Anything that will provide a lead is always considered.

For your information,i have been into real estate since 2001,and this is my 21 years in real estate,,from Allen Avenue(Cocaine Avenue)when they were selling a plot of land in Lekki phase 1 for just Two million naira and today that same property is nothing less than Two Hundred and fifty million.So,you are not talking to a dummy or newbie but someone with first class experience in property development and real estate.
As at last year 16mm iron rod was sold for less than 280k but today its over 450k,and same thing applies to other building materials.Is it Yahoo boys that caused the increased?use your head ,its meant for a purpose.
