Dashlish12:I lately saw your thread on properties you're really doing well sir, keep up the good work. Please I need your advice on a landed property I bought lately last night. A plot of land I bought through a prominent surveyor. After I made the payment I was only giving a family receipt I demanded deed of assignment the surveyor told me I'll have to pay for processing of deed of assignment. The surveyor gave me his own personal receipt and also gave me family receipt of the family that the land belong to. Now I'm planning to start building on the land but I'm having this doubtful mind telling me I don't have reliable and concrete document for the land I want to invest money on and this though always causes hesitation and restraint me from taking any step further into building on the land because I'm afraid of building on the land I only have family receipt as document which is I think it doesn't server enough document. Now my question is, I'm the one to be responsible to process deed of assignment myself as a buyer or it should be the duty of the seller to give me the deep of assignment? Please what do I do I don't want to start building on the land with just only family receipt as document in land 1 Like |

Sukkyy2010:you bought a land truly. Which receipt was issued. (mere receipt anybody can give u receipt or forged it.] Now since you demanded for the survey and deed of agreement non was available. You have to pay for the deed of agreement to be processed like wise the survey of the land. After that please verify the survey paper to check if its authentic or genuine at lands. Also if u document this faster it can still be resold to another individual without u knowing self. Once everything is done and its genuine, secure the land immediately by fencing it first or start building on it gradually 1 Like |

Prooton:Thanks for your response sir I'm very grateful may the Lord Almighty accomplish your work. Let me kindly update you the latest, few minutes ago I visited the surveyor whom I bought the land from concerning deed of agreement and the surveyor said no problem that his going to handle it that he'll be the one to bring in a lawyer that will process the document. Now my question sir! Is that how it been done? Is right the seller is the one to bring in lawyer for this coz I was thinking of using my personal lawyer for it. 1 Like |

Prooton:The land is 500k, how much does "deed of assignments" cost coz this man he's charging me 140k for It. Its actually my first time property I have no prior experience. And also how do I bring in my own lawyer now that he's the one taking care of everything. 1 Like |
