Subsidywise20:
Peter Obi on subsidy removal

1.Would you remove subsidy: Yes and no.

My comment

Honestly not really satisfied with this answer. Subsidy has to go and go completely. There is no yes and no, there is yes, or no.
I am ashamed of you because I watched it, why do give out half truth? He said yes and no : yes because £40 million can help to upgrade the standard of our education, health and security (from 2012-2022 Nigeria has spent £20 million on education, health and security while £40 million has been spent on subsidy). He said No because he when assumed the office will make the see the dividends of the subsidy, because people have not been seeing the dividends of privatization, Abacha loot, increase in the price of fuel pump.

And you think all those changes will come to fruition in a year or two?

Most people supporting PO, do not know that if he actually do what he says he'll do, there will be better hunger (even worse than Buhari's hunger) in the land for at least 2 years before the positive side of his policies will start showing. But his supporter don't know this. They think he'll solve all the problem in one year. They think he will just replicate what he saw in Egypt in 1 year, and things will just get better.
And this kind of too much hope will cause them utter disappointment when they don't see what they want in a short time.

They don't know that insecurity will remain the same or rise for quite sometime before anything meaningful will be done. Even if he changes security chiefs every month, how many would he change. He won't be able to do anything meaningful in 3 months securitywise. In those 3 months, can he stand the heat? When on his first day in office, he hear they bomb one village in Borno and tomorrow they've bombed a city in Kaduna and next tomorrow they've kidnapped school children in Sokoto, can he stand the heat. Or would he resort to blaming the previous government?

The fact he's making all the problem in the country easy to solve will be his greatest nemesis if he gets there.

Do you actually think Fashola didn't think truly with his heart that electricity was a problem that could be solved within 6 months? And here we are after 7 years we're still in darkness.
Buhari could swear with his life that fuel subsidy was a scam when he wasn't President, but when he got there his eyes clear.
Even the most illiterate tout in the motor park knows the problem of this country and solution but take him to power and he'll flop. Everyone thinks the world works the way it works in their head.

The fact that we all think one politician alone is going there to work while the others are going there to worsen the problem should stop.
You never can tell if Nigeria will get better under PO and get worse under Tinubu or Atiku, or Nigeria will get better under Tinubu but worse under PO or Atiku, or get better under Atiku but get worse under Tinubu or PO.
We don't know and we'll never know for sure because it is only one that will be President.
Even if it takes him d whole of first tenure, no p. All I want is positive change las las.

Have we not endured more dan decades?

I'll question the intelligence of anyone who thinks there's a messiah out there capable of wishing our problems away by accident they become president.

After this Buhari administration, I'll think every Nigerian should have accepted that the problems of this country are too deep-rooted and multifaceted for any would be president to fix alone. Talk is cheap and even a fool can promise to make another a millionaire.

By their antecedents, none of the major presidential aspirant is exceptional in my opinion. They are all just different sides to the same coin.

I have always talk about total removal of fuel subsidy. The only politician I will support is the one that say it with his full chest that he will remove fuel subsidy. Which one is yes and no? Yes how, no how?

If anybody like, let him cut off unnecessary spending, if he doesn't totally remove fuel subsidy, he's wasting his time.

Peter Obi should say it with his full chest that he will remove subsidy and he'll get my support.
You are not okay upstairs!!! He said he will remove it once he has 100 percent, prepared other benefits to cushion the effects of subsidy removal for Nigerians, but that if does cushioning effects are not achievable that he won't remove the subsidy.

Peter Obi believes that Nigeria is under-policed. That other African countries which are smaller than Nigeria have up to 1 million officers. I absolutely agree.
But where will the money to fund them come from? The current officers are poorly paid despite being too few in number.
Mismanagement of funds has killed us! Trade moni, school feeding, transfer of money to the poor, etc are all avenue to embezzle funds! There is money in Nigeria, if channelled to the right direction... Imagine Kano textiles, groundnuts pyramid in North, Enugu cool and limestone, Ajeokute steels, Zamfara mines, not to talk of oil in South East and South South... Non these are working not even one. God help us

Nigeria is not rich. And please don't compare it to countries like UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. If you sum all their population together it won't still reach Lagos. That's why they are rich cos they have less people to enjoy such plenty crude oil. Nigeria has similar amount of crude oil but with over 200 million people.
Stop talking nonsense. Sorry to sound da way.
What is the population of Lagos to start with?
... barely 15million as of 2022.
While Saudi Arabia has over 34million as of 2020.

Are you talking about Obi who was in PDP until his desperation to be president made him decamp to ideologically opposed Labour Party?
Please confirm.
Yes. Why are you apparently disturbed by Obi's exit from PDP to Labour party?
Did your Atiku not defect from PDP to other ideologicly opposed political parties?
Did you not see objectionable the prospects of Atiku, a Fulani Muslim, succeeding another Fulani Muslim, Buhari, as president of Nigeria?
Why was Federal Character principle enshrined in the Constitution of Nigeria?

What debt burden, he left Obiano with a debt burden of N185b but omitted it from his handover notes.

He increased IGR by a paltry 8% in the total of 8 years, in a period of economic boom for the country and in a country where inflation is above 10% PER ANNUM meaning in real terms IGR actually reduced under him, but you are probably not enlightened enough to to understand what I just typed. The man before him achieved 800% in only 3 years, the man after him achieved over 200% in 8 years of economic difficulty and social upheaval and you have mouth to talk? You motivation is clearly not facts, logic and good performance. Just state what we all know that you are supporting Obi because he is Ibo and save us all the BS about him being the messiah. I honestly don’t know why I even bother, it’s not like he has any chance of winning anyway.
That is a big lie. NBS figures of indebted states in 2014 showed Anambra's debt to be at the range of 3billion Naira making them among the least indebted states. you are bothered because he is fast gaining popularity among the youth and disenfranchised Nigerians.

True.

Even in normal FIFA game that we play at home, when you're not the one playing the game, you will see all the moves that who's with the game pad should have made. You see all the passes he should have made but didn't. How he should have used a up through pass instead of a normal pass, how he should have scored the goal instead of doing pass and score.
But when you hold the controller you'll still make the same mistake, and the person you collected the controller from will start his own round of corrections.

Now this is just ordinary PS 4 game o. Imagine ruling over 200 million people with over 250 tribes. It is when you get there that your eyes will clear.

Oil subsidy is the biggest wasteage or our money and if he doesn't remove it in his first year, he's wasting his time.

Obi isn't radical enough to carry out some of the things he promised. Some of it will entail stepping on the political elites foots, majority of whom are his friends, who knows his inner secret as well.

With the anticipated low representation in NASS, radical approach will be needed to push through most of this programs.

Reasons a Sowore is needed to push the new ideology.
You said this coz you don't know Peter Obi. When it comes to managing State resources, don't joke with Peter Obi. Obi will never allow you to loot no matter who you are. When he stopped the Anambra State House, dominated by PDP, from looting they went to Asaba and impeached him in a 5am nocturnal meeting. They put his Deputy, Mrs Etiaba, as the Governor. What did Obi do? He went to court and overturned the contrived impeachment, and completed his tenure. Peter Obi will pay you what is due but will not allow one man steal what belongs to the community. This is why you see all the looters ganged up against him.

There are even other testimonies about Peter Obi as Governor which we've not shared so far. As the days go by we will reveal them. Stay tuned.

So, deciding to reduce d burden of d masses by not increasing taxation is now a crime?
He got low IGR, worked with it and had a lot saved.
Obiano got ample IGR, did wot with it plz? ...went ahead to put d state into serious debt.

As a matter of fact, BBnaija has decided to take off burden from their fans by making dis season voting free. I mean, no sms voting. Just go to their website and vote freely. But dis same year, dey even increased the winners reward to 100million. Dey've decided to make use of d humongous revenue dey get from sponsors.

Where am I driving at?
U must not always increase d burden of the masses by increased taxation, or implementing unnecessary fiscal policies. Just make use judicious use of wots available. People would see and complement dat.

Obi did well for ndi Anambra.
