Iggy just said another one, Sheed would have been better than Giannis. The only thing I can say for Rasheed, is that if he could have kept his temper during the 1st 3 years of his rookie deal in this era, he will get a max deal because of his ability to stretch the floor at that size and that is with the huge caveat that his temper is under control.
Rasheed and Giannis is not a comp that should be made at all

Without Pau, no ring. No way around it.
Tony Parker and Kawhi literally won Finals MVP under Duncan's watch.

This was the last time Kobe and Tim Duncan went head to head. Don't tell me Duncan was old. He was only 32. Kobe got to the league before him.

These people are just drunk. Imagine comparing Sheed to a franchise player like Giannis. Sheed was good but could he be the best player on a team that wins a title? Absolutely not

LeNomad is full of it. Never comment much on him outside basketball but you can just tell his rant was fugazi and performative. From the China incident to now advocating for someone that broke the law in another country.

Every time he speaks you can tell he's poorly informed and that's why they ask him to shut up and dribble instead of this weak SJW attempt

The knicks are trying to build a backcourt that cannot stop anybody. Donovan Mitchell and Brunson on D will be a joke.

I don't pity them, they are as insufferable as the Dallas Cowboys fans.

They love highlight plays and Dolan knows how to sell what the fans need. grin

Hmmm.

He is probably talking about the nets iso offense system.
I don't really get the issue tho, he should know this. That's what happens when you have 2 of the most iso oriented players of all time. KD and Irving will always look to create Thier own shot 90% of the time

You are right but I posted it because it reminded me of what we started going through with KD after 2017.

Just saw a trade idea for the Cavs, Sexton, Levert and one 1st round pick for Donovan Mitchell. Thoughts?
Personally I like it for the Cavs, Mitchell can focus more on just scoring improving their firepower, Garland will help remove the playmaking load from him. Also, even if he is just becomes a neutral defender, the twin towers of Allen and Mobley will neutralize any shortfall.

Big credit to D. Ayton!

This man bet on himself after the Suns stopped contract negotiations last year. He believes he is a max player and is now going to get his max contract. The Suns have no option than match the Pacers offer sheet or lose Ayton for free.

Once again, big credit to Ayton!

This kinda rules out KD to Suns. Is it possible for KD to run it back with the nets?

Has any super star put in a request but end up staying? Like has it happened before..

Kobe did. Its not that uncommon - we just didnt have social media to this extent to fan up the flames. In Kobe's case, Shaq left anyways, so it was easy to pacify Kobe. In this case, Kyrie is staying, and I think Durant wants out primarily to avoid another Kyrie season. I am not sure what could be done to pacify Durant in this case. It is hard to unload Kyrie because apparently nobody wants Kyrie, not even for a bag of chips. Maybe we can beg the celtics to take him back as special leprechaun tongue

KD to the Suns is not entirely out of the picture, however, it will take multiple teams, say 3-4 teams to complete the trade. Thing is, KD is going to command a lot and while everyone wants him, only very few teams can afford what the Nets are demanding. The Suns want him because this year might be their last shot with CP3 and they have shown us that Booker is not that guy who can carry a team to a championship.

Running it back with the Nets is not possible if Kyrie is there. But the Nets have made it clear that they want to resolve the KD situation first before Kyrie’s and Kyrie has said he will be fine with staying in Brooklyn. I remember saying on this thread that KD and and Kyrie became distant after the playoffs and have not been close as usual since then. I think everyone involved has come to the conclusion that Kyrie is the common denominator. KD has to take some responsibility for how he allowed Kyrie disrupt their entire season and stayed quiet about it. I don’t expect him to speak about it. I think he believed he could reel the team despite the dysfunction going on.

The management also did a horrible job when the failed to pull the brakes on everyone when the nonsense was going on. Harden left because of Kyrie. He could not deal with it. KD wants stability, I think that is the biggest for him. Also, I don’t think he rates Nash anyways and that is another issue that has not been talked about. The Suns have most of his needs to succeed.

I can see him start the season with the Nets but ultimately leave at some point but for the sake of clarity, it’s best it is resolved before the start of the new season. To your question, yes, Kobe.

MJ, Duncan, Hakeem are also examples of players who either demanded trades or were leaving via FAs before they changed their decisions. Social media making news more accessible has just amplified these things to make it look like it's a new thing
