We have only heard from the husband. The story will be balanced when we hear the woman's side.

Without been prejudiced, I have seen a lot of Nigerian men (mostly Igbos) that married village girls or Nurses from from Nigeria with the plan to turning them to modern slaves in the US. In most cases, it ends like the case of this man

The men will come to Nigeria, marry a village girl or a trained nurse. They will bring the girls/women to the US and send them to nursing schools (CNAs, LPNs or BSNs). Once the ladies start work, they will then expect the women to deliver their bi-weekly pay to them. Some will stop work and do nothing but sit down at home. Some even force the direct payment of these women into their accounts. They will then be spend money like kings while the women that will be doing 2 or 3 jobs are living in penury. That is nothing more than slavery.

When these women share what they are going through in the hands of the lord and master husbands with their colleagues at work, those ones will teach them and they get liberated and rebel against the modern-day slavery. They stop giving out their earnings, then wahala will start in the homes.

You will then hear the husbands complain that their wives are liberated and are now disrespectful and disobedient. The quarrel will go on and on until the woman will have no choice but to evict the husband from the house because the law protects women in the US. As you must have read, some of these men even go to the extend of killing their wives.

Mind you, in most of these cases where they own the house, the man buys the house in his name but the mortgage is coming from the wife's earning, yet the man will be claiming my house. Your house my feet!
