How's the result of the AWCON going to affect our FIFA ranking?
It's likely we lost the number one spot to South Africa...
I don't think so unless South Africa do well in the World Cup and we don't. South Africa for now at best would overtake Cameroon.

I believe this team is much more talented than to rely on just 1 or 2 players. Ayinde and Ajibade will be missed no doubt but I still think we have capable replacements for them.
Okoronkwo to replace Ajibade on the wing with Tony Payne completing the Midfield with Ucheibe(B2B) and Otu (DM).
Kanu as the CF and Oshoala on the wing. Pat or Nicole to replace Tony or we can go with Ebi (where is Zogg?), Ashleigh,Ohale and Alozie.

There are friendlies scheduled to sharpen this team abeg

No matter how you look at it, she's more active than Rita at the moment. At least she's faster.

Car...what? Otu is not a carpenter. She may not be as brilliant as Ucheibe but she is better than Rita.

please where is Loveth Ayila now? She just went off radar. I still think she was a bigger talent that Ayinde going by that U20 world cup.

NIGERIA INTERNATIONAL DEFENDER OLOGBOSERE COMPLETES MOVE TO BIIK KAZYGURT

Nigeria international full back Mary Nunumwen Ologbosere has joined Kazakhstan Women’s Premier League champions BIIK Kazygurt on a one year deal.

The talented player completed the move after arriving in Kazakhstan at the weekend.

Ologbosere comes highly rated to the UEFA Champions League campaigners.

She has featured for Ibom Angels and Rivers Angels in her promising career. The Edo-born defender is known for her overlapping skills and long range goals.

Mary Ologbosere has been a Nigeria international since 2014. She has played for her country at the U17, U20 and senior level.

The adventurous full back has the ability to get back into position efficiently when coming back from offensive runs. To compliment her pace, the defender holds excellent movement. She has a tendency for bursting into space and making overlaps ahead of her winger.

Alongside her turn of pace, Ologbosere has a high workrate defensively and offensively. Her energy is unquestionable

She uses both feet. This allows Ologbosere to not only burst down the wing with her more comfortable right foot, but she also has the option to cut inside and use her left, making herself unpredictable and tricky for opposing players to anticipate.

[Popp 40' 77' / Frohms 44' o.g.]

Captain Alex Popp brace lifts eight-time champs Germany into the Euros final on Sunday where hosts England awaits. Popp becomes first player to score in five women's Euros matches. That match #WEURO2022

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 10:29pm On Jul 27, 2022
6 - Alexandra Popp has scored six of Germany's 13 goals at the 2022 Women's Euros (46%). Popp has scored six times from 17 shots, while the rest of Germany's squad has combined for seven goals from 75 shots. Precision.

This young girl has turned to the most lethal female player on the planet. It's her precision for me, compared to her other teammates. She doesn't even act like she's bossy or too special despite this.

We should fix a friendly with this team later this year.
We have US already, Germany, England and France should follow.

If we want to improve, we should normalize friendlies with the Europeans for now. It will instill being careful in their blood. I will drop France and put Netherlands. Seeing Popp is making me pray we have a player like her that will transition successfully from cadet level to senior team and become the pinnacle of the team, while still her usual calm and simple self.

Notice the big difference between their WOTM and our Helix Mathset WOTM. I'm i harsh? grin

France no go add anything. Na the pk really give them edge that year. Let the goals come. Or we use it to replicate the Morocco park the bus, this time against a bigger opponent.

That game shows we can, but we just don't reach premium level when we should. Chai.
